  1. Karen, I've thought about him hurting his back and I've felt all along his spine and he doesn't flinch or stiffen at all. It seems to be the sides of his butt. I just don't know. I'll probably end up taking him in at some point. Colleen
  2. Hi Steph, Thanks for that information. It was you who I was thinking about when I said "a small minority", I just couldn't remember the specifics. Colleen
  3. I have two adorable Yorkies. One is 8 now, the other is 1. My older guy is showing signs of pain in his back half. He growls a bit when I position his rear in the chair with me and stiffens if you touch the area. He also is not a good jumper anymore, I have steps to the bed and I assist him on the furniture. He CAN make it up but fusses about it and...
  4. Hey Bells, how is your gluten-free diet going? Are you still having severe symptoms? I forget when you started, my brain is forever stuck in the fog With that much working I think your good on the exercise for now. I'll just stuff my pockets with those gingerbread men Colleen
  5. Felps, I have taken your reply and posted it as a New Topic under the Coping section titled Ncgi and its symptoms found here: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/105400-ncgi-and-its-symptoms/ This will draw the attention it needs from more members. I wish you well. Colleen
  6. Hi Guys, I'm coming to the Party Bellvie, I'm glad you enjoy the Mindfulness technique. It can diffuse an emotional situation quickly too. You guys are young and you will get this all under control. You can still socialize, travel, have fun with friends but you now need to do it with food safety in mind. Carry snacks/food with you all the time...
  7. Hi SFC, and Welcome to the Forum The ingredients as you listed look fine. As Addy said, they have a typical CYA statement. For me personally I would be satisfied and take the drug as prescribed. If you have an adverse reaction to the drug it will not be caused by gluten. Hope you feel better soon. Colleen
  8. Hi Whitmore, and Welcome to the Community I'm wondering, were you on the steroids when the adjacent biopsy was taken? I think this can affect the result. We need member SquirmingItch to chime in here. She knows everything about DH. I'll see if I can snag her for you. Colleen
  9. Hi Missy, and Welcome to the Forum There is no gluten in coffee, however you need to check flavoring or creams as they may. For some coffee can be a natural laxative. There are always a very small minority that coffee doesn't sit well with but If you have had no problem in the past then you should be fine with it. If you are newly diagnosed then...
  10. Hi Fool and Welcome to the Forum. Ok, take a deep breath and stop your head. First read this: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91878-newbie-info-101/. Not sure about the night guard but someone will chime in about that. No kissing anyone until they brush their teeth. Cutting out Dairy usually helps at first because the tips of your villi are...
  11. Face it. It's just friggin cold If I'm gonna be shivering my ASSets off then I want SNOW !!
  12. Hi GFJen and welcome to the forum. Your symptoms are quite common for a glutening. I get all those and more and it usually last for up to three weeks to fully recover. Celiacs as well as Intolerant can both have severe reactions. You are definitely not crazy. Hope you feel better soon. Colleen
  13. So glad that your seeing results. I had health issues greatly improved after I started the diet. Things that I had no idea were connected. I am still in amazement at how completely seemingly unrelated issues can improve with the gluten free diet. Colleen
  14. The two topics have been merged. Colleen
  15. Your getting there Wendy. Read, Read, and Read labels. I still get those threatening foot cramp things. Doesn't go to a full cramp, THANKFULLY, but I freak out anyway Be well. Colleen

  17. Okay. The first link is to buy a book and the second link is about autism. There is nothing here about celiac or gluten Intolerance. Please be more careful in the future to provide proven research about celiac or gluten Intolerance and to stay on topic with the theme of this site. There is no cure. Colleen
  18. This discussion is about orthodontics. Please reply appropriately. Colleen

  21. Hi Nachos, Read the Newbie 101 thread under the Coping Section. It will further expand on things that need to be replaced as well as Information that all new Celiac's/NCGI's need. Good luck to you. Colleen
  22. If you continue to feel poorly after a few weeks, then you might want to look at the thyroid again, It can be difficult to get it stabilized. Good Luck with the diet Colleen
  23. Bellvie, I think at this point maybe you should shelve the Korean rice and purchase some new. I use Jasmine rice, it is white but quite tasty, or a different brand of brown. See if you show any reaction. It may just be that particular package. Good Luck and I how you start to feel better soon. Colleen
  24. Clean off the spectacles Girl Start reading the label twice, once for gluten, once for corn. And you know how I feel about restaurants, so I won't go there. Get well quickly. Colleen
  25. What I don't understand is with all the doctors monitoring you why you don't get a legitimate Blood Test for Celiac followed up by an endoscopic procedure. Not all Doctors are Celiac savvy. You can ask for the full Celiac Blood Panel and get some answers very quickly. If you test negative then you very well may have NCGI. The Gluten Free diet is the remedy...
