  1. I agree, you should see your Doctor. Colleen
  2. In my opinion, your Doctor is an idiot. You must take biopsies because the damage may not be visible. Open Original Shared Link You might want to start from scratch with a new doctor, go out of town if you need to, and a gluten challenge for blood work and endoscopy. Good luck with what you decide to do. Colleen
  3. I found this.... [in Part] The stomach is closely linked to the body’s processing of oxygen and breath, so stomach problems are often halitosis causes. Lactose intolerance is one of the common halitosis causes because lactose intolerant patients are unable to process milk properly. When a person who is lactose intolerant ingests milk, his or her body i...
  4. I've been thinking about this. Reading about how gluten can jump off of tables whilst having a coffee or walking through the cafeteria and being assaulted by gluten particles and how all attempts to scrub the little beasties off have little effect, I did a quick search on ebay and found used HazMat suits at very reasonable prices. Do you think I'm over...
  5. After 20 some years, I am still trying to connect dots. You are not alone Colleen
  6. Yea, that's pretty wild. Does dairy, like whey, for example as a small ingredient in packaged food give the same response as a cheese Sammy? I'm curious
  7. co You would have to rule out Every Single Other Cause...and then take a guess. I really don't know how to answer your question. Maybe browse the DH Section and see if others with DH have malabsorption issues not due to villi damage. Good luck. Colleen
  8. There are many different causes of malabsorption, so yes to your question. Open Original Shared Link Lactose Intolerance is due to the lack of the enzyme lactase. Other causes can be Viruses, Parasites, Bacteria and Celiac Spru. Open Original Shared Link Hope this helps. Colleen
  9. Mlyons, the member Greg Rappaport has not been active since October of 2011. He may not see your reply. This thread just started yesterday may interest you. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/104680-dairy-productseczema-on-hands-with-bleeding/ Good Luck. Colleen
  10. Wow. Sound's like a clear cut response. I wish all of our issues were that easy to figure out. Gotta love the bluntness of kids Colleen
  11. Khawaja, I checked and the member Ammar has not been active since May of 2008. I'm sure we can help you if you have questions about Celiac Disease. Welcome to the forum. Colleen
  12. Nicole, Just like the area of histamine intolerances is evolving. In five years it will be interesting to see all the developments in these areas. Colleen
  13. Karen, So its a one pill for a certain situation type thing? Not a daily medication? Colleen
  14. Companies can change their ingredients without notice. In the Celiac world, you must read every label, every time. Please keep in mind that Gluten may not be the underlying problem for you since you do not have a diagnosis of Celiac Disease. I'm not saying it isn't a problem but you should still look at other possibilities. Many people report improvement...
  15. I would choose a gluten-free diet over medication. I think the mentality of taking a pill to fix symptoms is wrong and running rampant in the world. Of course, there are always cases where this is needed, but there are so many more where simple dietary changes can do the same thing. Do we really "NEED" to eat McDonalds? Colleen
  16. We just discussed this in the thread below. Read through to the end. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/104636-just-cant-help-myself/page-1 Colleen
  17. I would read that as Negative. The faint line in the first box looks like the pre-scored line that would fill in if positive. Colleen
  18. Ha! I blame any weight gain on Hubs. He's the main cook around here. As you guys on the "What's for Dinner" thread know, I am cookingly challenged
  19. Found some info on Barley Oil. Open Original Shared Link Colleen
  20. Hubs and I love "Bomb Pops". They are the red, white and blue things. We go through a couple of boxes a week He says he is having sympathy flashes
  21. If we had snow on the ground here I would be out doing snow angels naked. These hot flashes are killing me
  22. You may want to PM IrishHeart about Histamine Intolerance. She is very well informed on the subject. Also, this subject was just discussed recently. Do a Forum search and you should be able to fine the resources she has already given. Colleen
  23. It would be great if you would post a link to the "evidence" research. Colleen
  24. Jesse, That is great progress! Hope you day gets better. Hang in there. Colleen
  25. The test for Transglutaminase (tTG)-IgA antibodies is specific to Celiac Disease. Having a positive result may prompt your Doctor to order an Endoscopy Procedure to confirm a diagnosis. Colleen
