    ARCHIVED Aches

Peg, getting cc'd will set off that immune response. Not surprising you get achy. The times that I have been hit had me down for a couple weeks. That "I got hit by a Mac truck" feeling Starting up the food journal is probably not a bad idea if you suspect other foods might be doing this too. I recently found out that nightshades were contributing...
  3. Dang Barty. I sure hope the next muffin test goes better. I freakin love those double choco muffins. I don't have a problem with them or any Udi's products. I do get wicked heart burn with Kinnikinnick products though. Have you tried the Udi's blueberry muffins? Do they get you too? Maybe just not ready for so much choco yet. Colleen
  4. Sounds wonderful! Have a great time Abby. Having breakfast for dinner tonight. Yummers. Colleen
  5. As you probably read, your protein number was very high. The protein from your blood could be leaking into the urine because the kidney filters may be damaged. Did your Doctor say he would follow up with a UACR test? Also, in early kidney disease you may not have any symptoms ie: swelling. And since your tests 9 months ago were fine, it would be early...
  6. Surviormom, because the ketones release in the first drops of urine the morning test is showing it. It's not surprising that the second test is then clear. I would follow up with the doctor and point out the difference in tests knowing that the first test in the morning is showing the ketones. I would want to know why if it were me. Hope you get some...
  7. Interesting question. My brother is a health nut. I say nut because he will eliminate anything with gluten, dairy, preservatives, gmo's, antibiotics and so on. He exercises fanatically and takes large amounts of vitamins. He chooses not to buy health insurance and believes he will never get seriously sick. He is very healthy at the moment. He has...
  8. That's great news. Your on your way to better health! Colleen
  9. Frieze, this occurs in Type1 Diabetes. There are also other reasons for having Ketones. Survivormom, I assume the Doctor has ruled out Diabetes? Colleen
  10. Here is information on Ketones. Open Original Shared Link You should consult his Doctor with your concerns. Colleen
  11. There is no Gluten in glue on envelopes!!!. Colleen
  12. Is there a reason your looking at a kidney friendly diet? You said you are still waiting for test results from your PCP. The prostrate tests look good. Are you concerned about a fatty liver? I'm not quite understanding what your asking. If your willing, give a little more information about your specific concerns. Colleen
  13. Jamie, With delayed symptoms, just do the best you can. I don't envy you having to do this. Get plenty of rest while on the challenge, your bound to be fatigued. Good luck with your challenge. Colleen

  18. This site is also for those with NCGI. Welcome. Sorry you are experiencing insomnia, happens to the best of us. You may wish to reconsider getting blood tests for Celiac if you are having such reactions to gluten. You and your daughter could both do a challenge and get tested at the same time if you are concerned she may have Celiac. Non flavored...

  23. What they don't know won't hurt them. (evil grin)
  24. Karen, It got to be too much for me too. All I make is gluten-free pasta now. Son still makes his mac n cheese. Hubs still makes his gluteny stuff but now I stay out of the kitchen if they are in there. They came to realize that if I'm cooking it will be gluten free and they will like it. Hehe.
  25. Because the TTG IgA can also point to other autoimmune diseases, the Doctor will take all tests into account to determine Celiac Disease. The Doctor can make a differential diagnosis of Celiac and not go forward with the Endoscopy if he believes there are no other issues to consider. This is completely up to the Doctor. Good Luck, Colleen
