  1. That was hilarious and has nothing to do with me . After all I am mentally 40 and have yet to go through all those things - he he
  2. I would not worry about whether you had a prior blood test. You can have a false negative on the test, but never a false positive. I do know that if Celiac is in a family and the blood tests come back negative, that they say you should still be retested every two years. So, just go for the test and do not worry about any prior testing. Just make sure...
  3. I own makeup, but I stopped wearing it when I got so sick 3 years ago. So, I don't wear eyeshadow and only put on mascara maybe 5 times a year. Don't wear blush. But, I cheat as my eyebrows and eyeliner is tatooed on. I don't have the eyeliner real thick, but a thin line. They eyebrows started the whole thing. As my eyebrows went gray to match my hair...
  4. Chelsea is worried about being half the age of 40ish. And here I am old enough to be at least the Mother to many or even a grandmother to some. And I am the one who cut her hair so she could spike it - go figure.
  5. My temp is 95.5 to 96.5. It has been as low as 94.5. I take Synthroid and the last time it was tested (last Spring) it ran a little high. But, my temps were the same. I see my GP on Tuesday. What do I ask for in the way of tests?
  6. I sat here with my hubby watching it. I thought it was great. I only hope that people I know were also watching. I forgot about the newbie aspect of the broadcast LOL. Almost 4 minutes in prime time is awesome.
  7. I think it took 20 minutes to catch up on this thread and that is only since this morning. I am not going to have Broncobucs take a photo of my hair as I am not going to spike it tomorrow. The length is still new to me and I just played with it this morning for a kind of normal hairdo. I will play with spiking it myself at a later time. I will make...
  8. That is great news that Megan is still improving. Slow and steady is a good thing. You certainly have an angel in Vincent. Still saying prayers and sending hugs.
  9. Going up the coast to Sydney from Melbourne is more then a one day trip. It is a little over a day to do and the day is a long one. But certainly will worth the drive. I was not diagnosed when we did it, but I do know that there were hardly any places to eat as it was. I would probably pack a huge hamper and a cooler at her grandma's for the drive to...
  10. Broncobucs is going to be here for a wedding and that is why we are meeting for lunch. I finally get to meet his girlfriend. Vincent, I don't remember my haircut in 7th grade, but I do remember the haircut in the 6th. I was complaining that I needed a haircut and my brother who was 6 years older then me, said he would cut it. He sure did. I went to...
  11. Happy Birthday Ian. May it be a real nice one with lots of good delicious gluten-free cake.
  12. Will I finally did it and had my hair cut like my avitar. I really did. I look just like him, except my hair is a little shorter then his. But it is spiked. I have been thinking about doing this for 3 months and finally got the nerve. I love it. I would put a picture up, but first I need someone to take a photo. My hubby and I are meeting Broncobucs...
  13. I am sending prayers and hugs to you. I agree with Robbin about the things to do, like a book, walk, etc. to de-stress. It might help keep your blood pressure down a little. I would suggest that you talk it over with hubby and children (if they are old enough), that you get one hour (or half hour) to yourself. Go in the bedroom, shut the door and read...
  14. Ashley still has the TB problem, doesn't she? If she has celiac disease, I would love to be a mouse in her home. The rantings are going to be worse then they are now. I would be sorry that she has it, but hope that if she does, some good can come out of the diagnosis. Like treating her Mother's illness seriously and with caring.
  15. I really like New Grist and wish I could get it in Arizona. Next month we are going to Las Vegas and on the way home I am buying a case to bring back. Sorry you did not like it.
  16. I hope they open the gluten-free bakery in Oct. We are going to be there the first week in Nov. I plan on getting beer on the way out of town. How awesome if we can stop at a bakery also.
  17. I would suggest that when you PM him that you also mention the price range you are looking at for lunch and dinner. You might also mention where you will be staying and how far you are willing to walk, drive, cab it, for meals.
  18. I am not trying to hijack this thread, but what test do I ask for to see if I still have gluten in my body. I am having some ataxia moments and I got the impression when I was diagnosed, that if I stayed gluten-free, then it would not progress. So, I thought maybe I should be retested for gluten. But, I don't see the need for the whole panel.
  19. Way to go everyone!!. Wish I could answer Mike 1972 as well as all of you have. Since I cannot, I will say thank you to those that have responded to his remarks.
  20. Sorry to jump in as I am 24 years OVER 40. But, I believe I am 40 LOL. The stuff you used Susan, was it OTC? And does it get rid of wrinkles. When I got so sick 3 years ago, I went from 3 little wrinkles around each eye, to many. And I now have lots of wrinkles around the mouth. I suppose it is from the huge weight loss. But, I would certainly like...
  21. Am I missing something? I thought those were past threads.
  22. No, but you would be asking her to talk louder LOL.
  23. Today's was better then yesterday. It was like I was having a Starbuck's Double Shot, except it was hot. I don't care if it foams or froths or whatever. So, I did use the Vance's and it was steamed with the attachment. I put in one tsp. of sugar. It was really quite tasty. But, I am going to try and use less coffee in proportion to the Vance's.
  24. He is absolutely gorgeous. I love the name Gismo. Glad you got a new kitty.
  25. celiac3270 is still a member and posts every now and then. He is involved with a Celiac teen group at Columbia (I think that is the one). He of course has a very high GPA and is involved in other teen activities. I think he is in charge of the newsletter for the Celiac teen group. In other words, he is extremely busy in such wonderful healthy, giving...
