Budew, have you posted the question about iodine on the "OMG thread" as it has evolved into a lot of technical stuff and not just dairy. Someone might be able to help you find answers there. I would also PM Mtndog as she is an intelligent, caring person. I hope you find some answers soon. So, keep hunting for answers as MANY on here have found their...

ARCHIVED Pamela's (amazing) Wheat Free Bread Mix
mouse replied to Nantzie's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thanks Nancy. I see the depth is different then a regular muffin pan. I have tart pans, but of course those would be two bite hamburgers - he he. I am going to order this tomorrow and then go get the bread mix. -
I know that sometimes I read the signatures as they help me to understand what has sometimes been posted. I know I post mine as I want the recently diagnosed Celiac to see what "could happen" if they keep eating gluten. I have to clarify that I had never heard of the disease until I was diagnosed at almost age 62. And that is why it is on there. The younger...

ARCHIVED Pamela's (amazing) Wheat Free Bread Mix
mouse replied to Nantzie's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Nantzie, what is a muffin top pan. I own every size of muffin pans they make, but I don't know what a muffin top pan is. I would love to make decent hamb. buns. -
ARCHIVED Avoid "202" In Chelsea Market Nyc
mouse replied to NicoleAJ's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I am so sorry that you are so sick and that this really put a damper on your weekend. It is so frustrating to do everything right and have this result. I hope you feel much better real soon. Hugs. -
I never thought about the glue on the apple after I take the sticker off! I assume because it is glue that it is not safe? Now I have to remember to cut that part off the apple before I eat it. 2 1/2 years and I never once thought of that glue.

Catherine, you have to jump in sometime. If you are not totally confident, then qualify your answer. There have been a few times that I have been corrected and that is great. I also have done some typos that have been corrected. So, take the plunge with something that you are comfortable with. Or at least say welcome to the newby. I am sure they are...

ARCHIVED Can Anyone Help Me With More Sites?
mouse replied to darlindeb25's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
V - I just read part of your link about the 365 Whole Foods Soda. I just bought 3 - 6 packs as they are suppose to be corn free and use sugar. How much corn is in each can of soda. I only drink about 1 or 2 cans a week. -
I like the question about when you go from a newby to a veteran. Now that I really think about it, I think that I am still a newby. Even after being gluten free for over 2 1/2 years and on this forum for over a year. The reason I think that, in regards to myself, is that I have to still keep asking questions and I am STILL learning and RELEARNING. I suppose...

ARCHIVED Symptoms Even When Sticking To Gluten-free Diet
mouse replied to jebus's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Welcome to the forum. I agree with Ursula that perhaps you should stop all dairy for awhile. Some say 3 to 6 months before reintroducing it. Are you sure that you are not getting some cross contamination from somewhere? did you get a new toaster, not using an old wooden spoon, new colander, checked your lipstick, etc. I hope I did not insult you with... -
Robina, I totally understand about babbling. I babble to everyone that will give me an ear. When we go out to dinner, my husband has to remind me to talk about something else LOL. I guess, even after being gluten-free for over 2 1/2 years, that I just don't want others to end up like I did. If my babbling helps a few people then it is worth it. So may...

This is so hard as there are so many who have helped me. People who I have come to respect and I know I am going to leave someone out. But, I will try. celiac3270 for giving such sage advice when I first joined. His knowledge is fantastic in one so young. Canadian Karen for her humerous advice and caring spirit. When I get down or depressed or...

ARCHIVED Celiac Or Nc Gluten Sensitivity… Or Not?
mouse replied to nan55's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I will try to answer as best as I can. The forum is not real busy on the weekends, but I am sure that many parents will be posting in the next couple of days. As far as symptoms are concerned. There are over 200 symptoms and there are some people who have no symptoms. Your doctor is wrong in that you do not have to lose weight, nor have diarrhea.... -
How well you have put everything Lisa. I will certainly try harder to help in some way. And if I can't be of any help, I will at least say hi. THANK YOU for the public announcment! Sometimes we need to be reminded.

ARCHIVED My Unusual Symptoms
mouse replied to a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Kathy Ann, you are doing nothing wrong. Mayflower, I am sorry that you are grossed out by some of the descriptions you read on the threads. Some of the newbies and even the older forum members have digestive problems that need to be addressed. Some of the members here have doctors that only give them a minute or two of their time as they are on a tight... -
ARCHIVED Igg, Ttg Normal After Going gluten-free? Huh?
mouse replied to chgomom's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Maybe it is just a miscommunication. It is good that you have called and asked for an explanation. But, you might make another appt. with her to get some face to face clarification. -
ARCHIVED My Son Has Dairy And Sugar Issues. Is He Celiac Too?
mouse replied to girlfromclare's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Welcome to the forum. The forum is not that busy on weekends, but someone with young children will post on here soon. I can tell you that this is an inherited disease and it does sound like your husband may be the problem if your son has Celiac. The best to you in finding the answers that you need to help your son. -
Welcome to the forum. We have several active Canadian members on here. Somewhere there is a thought that I read on here, that if you get a positive diagnosis of Celiac that it helps with treatment, taxes, something. I just can't remember. Before you go gluten free, why don't you start a thread that has a question about whether the biopsy is necessary...

ARCHIVED Igg, Ttg Normal After Going gluten-free? Huh?
mouse replied to chgomom's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Thanks Tom for taking the time to answer. I had become the classic Celiac by the time of diagnosis - 53 pound weight loss, D, bedridden, dehydrated. I had had some neuro problems that came and went for about 8 years before the Celiac diagnosis. But, when I saw a doctor for those problems they rolled their eyes. They did diagnose me with familial tremors... -
ARCHIVED Update On Hubby
mouse replied to probonohoe's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
That is wonderful news. We are all here to answer any questions that you or your husband might have. We don't consider any question stupid. Keep up the great work. -
I also hate winter. I was so glad when we retired to AZ. But, now that my body is used to the temps, I get cold again. When it gets in the 60's I am cold. And when it gets in the 50's I start wearing my silk long johns. And I do take a thyroid med. and have it checked yearly. Try the silk long underwear as it does not give bulk.

ARCHIVED Igg, Ttg Normal After Going gluten-free? Huh?
mouse replied to chgomom's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Tom, I have a question. I have been gluten free for over 2 1/2 years and have asked for the complete panel to be done. Which I had done the week before last. I am having more neuro problems and want to check if I am being complacient or what. I will know the numbers next week. Since you had 1's on each of the tests after one year, does this mean that... -
ARCHIVED As I Stand Before You, Eating Humble Pie
mouse replied to Lisa's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Lisa, I am so sorry that you are feeling so lousy. I have done the same thing, when I did not want to make a scene, which made me a coward. Now, I roar like a lion - he he. But, there have been times that I have been hungry at the wrong times and took a chance. I was lucky that the chance turned out. I would drink plenty of water to flush everything... -
ARCHIVED Elevated Antibodies For Life?
mouse replied to tiredofdoctors's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
YOUR BACK!! Glad to see that you have a monitor again. Don't know the answer. Still waiting for my test results. Will call next week and see what the numbers were. My neuro problems have seemed to have gone bye bye lately and I hope they stay away. I am wondering if that one glutened pill that I took 2 1/2 months ago could have lingered that long. ...
