carla, i did not get the email or a PM. could you resend it. thanks. -
i hope you can stick through me using small letters. as some of you know i fractured a bone in my left elbow and i cannot raise that arm to use for typing. i am now a one finger typist. i am asking for letters from anyone who feels that lynne has helped them with advice, her fantastic humor and even with her compassionateand giving nature. i will use...

ARCHIVED Start D Therapy Tonight...and
mouse replied to chgomom's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
under doctor's orders, i took 50,000 units twice weekly for about 6 to 8 weeks. i can't remember the exact time frame. i did not have any problem at all with it. sorry for the small letters, but fractured my arm and am typing with one finger. -
ARCHIVED Armetta Needs Prayers
mouse replied to tiredofdoctors's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
all of your prayers an well wishes must have worked. i don't need it pinned, nor did i need a cast. they put it in a removal splint. this is so neat. they wet this pad and form it to where they want the angle to be and then wrap it in an ace bandage that has a velcro closure. after 2 hours it then hardens and keeps the shape. i am allowed to remove... -
ARCHIVED Armetta Needs Prayers
mouse replied to tiredofdoctors's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
this will be short, as 1 finger typing is the pitts, i fall off of a ladder in the garage, monday morning and missed the bottom step. i was lucky in that, by the time my head hit, i already had other parts of my hitting the concrete floor first. it is cracked right below the joint and that has about a 16 of an inch separation. if they don't need to pin... -
ARCHIVED Megan's Gagging Isn't Any Better

ARCHIVED Are celiac disease People Usually Thinner?
mouse replied to kristiney's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I fought weight issues most of my life. Until we retired 5 1/2 years ago, I had a gym in my basement. I worked out 5 days a week and used the treadmill sometimes twice in one day (for weeks at a time). I watched my calories except once every 3 months when I would go and buy a pound of Fanny May creams and eat the whole box at once LOL. I was lucky to... -
I was not going to answer your post Susan, but I don't want you to think you are to blame. You are not. The only thing I know is that someone pressed the report button on him and I don't know anything else. So no one needs to PM me to ask.

ARCHIVED New To Forum, New To Gluten Sensitivity/casein Sensitivity
mouse replied to AZKat's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I did not have any choice for when I went gluten free. By the time my doctor thought of this disease I was dehydrated, had been sleeping about 20 hours a day for a month and had lost 53 pounds. The doctor said that another 2 weeks he figured I would not have had any recovery (his words). So, I did not have time to say goodbye to any foods. I think that... -
I went to Applebee's about 2 years ago as it was my hubby's favorite place. The manager tried so hard, but I got glutened real bad. I have not been back there. They really tried, but it just is not worth it to me as there are so many other places I can go to.

ARCHIVED Please Help... I'm In Shock
mouse replied to emja73's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I just want to welcome you to the forum and I agree with everything that has been said. This is not something to only do partially. The diet is all the way or none at all. I was so sickly as a baby and then as a young child. No one thought to mention Celiac to my parents and until my diagnosis at almost age 62, I had never heard of it. It is really too... -

It is gluten free. -
Could you post your recipe for chicken pot pie. I would love to make individual ones and freeze them for the times I don't want to cook. Thanks.

Shai76, why don't you take a ham to the Thanksgiving dinner. We were invited to a friend's home last year and he was cooking the turkey on his contaminated grill. I asked if I could bring a ham and some sweet potatoes. So, I enjoyed the company and was able to stuff my face also.

my fave is Picazzo's pizza in Tempe. I was never a pizza lover until I could not have it. So my husband teased me when I wanted to go to picazzo's pizza. You can choose white sauce on your gluten-free pizza - how awesome is that. The reason I never liked pizza was the red sauce. So, now I want to go there all the time. I order the shrimp and white sauce...

I have no wheat flour in the house. The only things with wheat are my husbands bread (kept in it's own tupperware container) and frozen waffles. He really likes my gluten-free waffles better, but not the cost - he he.
