  1. I make my own croutons (either cornbread or regular white bread), and then make them as you normally would. You will do great!

  3. If you've only used it once, I would think a thorough cleaning/dishwasher for parts would suffice. Welcome to the board - you have a GREAT doctor! You may want to try the gluten free pantry bread mixes .... I make them into little rolls with italian seasoning, and they are wonderful!
  4. Many of them are gluten free, and indicate so on the website/product.
  5. Just a few of them: Country Life Vitamins are certified gluten free. Open Original Shared Link Kirkman Labs carries gluten free products, as well: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link
  6. San-J has a wheat free soy sauce that is a great replacement. Good luck when you start the diet!
  7. I can't say that there is literature linked directly to your situation; however, celiac is linked to infertility and complications during pregnancy. You cannot rule out Celiac since you were only tested while you were on the gluten free diet. The director of one of the large Celiac organizations discusses her experience here: Open Original Shared...
  8. Congratulations to you and Mark!!! I know you are so excited to finally get all your own stuff in your own home!!! And perfect weather for such a big day!
  9. Here is some info that may be helpful to you and/or your college. Other colleges deal with gluten free students very well. Good luck! Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link
  10. All plain meat/chicken products will list gluten. If it doesn't say wheat/rye/barley/malt in the ingredients, its not there. USDA law requires it to be listed as you describe. See the posts by lovegrov in this recent thread for more info: https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index.ph...c=62440&hl=

  12. If money is an issue, it may be worth it to do a gluten free 'trial' for a set amount of time, and see if you feel better. If you don't feel better on the gluten free diet, but do have a positive test from e-lab (their findings have not been replicated in other places, yet), then you may still need follow up medical care. Just trying the diet may give you...
  13. The lab you mention does not test for Celiac. It can indicate a gluten sensitivity, but does not diagnose Celiac.
  14. Have you had follow up bloodwork or repeat biopsy?
  15. It can take weeks-months to get back on track...give it time, and I hope you feel better.
  16. Thanks for posting this new info, Gabby!
  17. No matter who it is, the person interested in a true diagnosis of Celiac needs to a see a doctor to have the bloodwork run. The biocard test is not available in the US. The gene test does not diagnose Celiac - as you linked, about 1/3 of the population has the gene(s), so it is not diagnostic.
  18. In order to have the blood tests done to evaluate for Celiac Disease, you have to see your doctor and your doctor can order the tests.
  19. What is the purpose of the endoscopy? Does she have a diagnosis yet? Is she currently eating gluten?
  20. Wonderful that you know now. I hope you stick around...this is a great resource!
  21. The 378 she was referring to was probably for the total IgA test, which doesn't test for Celiac, but looks to identify those with IgA deficiency (which is more common in Celiac patients) and can affect the rest of the IgA based testing. According to their website: Open Original Shared Link Reference range for total (or Serum) IgA for this lab: 6...
  22. If you do have Celiac and have only been gluten free for a few days, the damage from Celiac has not healed, and you can experience symptoms from gluten free foods, as well. It takes awhile for the body to fully heal and return to 'normal.'
  23. I received this email from Tyson in the past when I inquired: "Thank you for your inquiry regarding gluten free products. We do not publish a list as ingredients may change. Over the years I have found that consumers depend on the list which may become obsolete as products are re-formulated. The Ingredients Listing found on the packaging will...

  25. www.questdiagnostics.com - You can find the test info here. Quest can also run the genetic testing. MyCeliacId is through Prometheus, a reputable company.
