  1. That's really odd. Their website has a disconnect because when I click on "show me only wheat free" they show up and when I click on "show me only gluten free" they are not in the list. Its rather confusing.
  2. On their web site the pancakes and toast sticks are listed as wheat free but not gluten free. They do make things that are only wheat free, so my guess is these products are not gluten free. For nummy amazing pancakes try pamela's mix. I throw in a drop of vanilla and they are dreamy.
  3. Its a bit south of you but there is a large range of people from all over NoCal on here and people do talk about Sacramento dining here sometimes: Open Original Shared Link The only specifically Sac group I could find is for parents with celiac kids: Open Original Shared Link
  4. I'm a video engineer for a post production company. My office is right next to the bathroom . We get fed breakfast and lunch every day and dinner if we stay late and they are really good about making sure there is stuff for me to eat. They even stock the freezer with gluten free waffles and Amy's meals, its pretty awesome. I just started night school to...
  5. Except for the mouth Ulcers, you're pretty much word for word my symptoms before gluten free. If you get a *good* GI, then they should listen to the results of diet challenge, not just dismiss diagnosis with the results of one blood test. That being said, I don't know that two weeks is long enough for a true challenge. I felt better almost immediately after...
  6. I bought my vitamins at Walgreens. Taking the vitamin D has caused a drastic improvement in my health.
  7. I take Nature Made Liqiud softgel Vitamin D. Says gluten free right on the bottle. I too am super low in vitamin D, as I never go outside, and all the food that is fortified with it is cereals and bread and gluten things I don't eat.
  8. I've been poking around on crockpot356 and I LOVE IT! Thanks so much to everyone who sent that link and all the other suggestions. Super helpful.
  9. I am slightly confused as neither of those items is on the gluten-free menu? Were you ordering gluten free?
  10. I love them, I have a giant box full I will never get through in my lifetime (you have to order by the case). Want some samples? I see you are in central CA, and I am in NorCal. Should not be a hassle to send you some. PM me with your addy if you're interested.
  11. So I've been feeling kinda blah lately, tired a lot, cranky, gained some weight out of no where, having some trouble with C and some random muscle pains. The doctor did a full blood panel, including checking my thyroid, and for good measure threw in a vitamin D check. Turns out I am severely vitamin D deficient, which basically explains all of that. She also...
  12. So I went out and purchased a crock pot this weekend. I need to eat more fiber, and I'm trying to save money to get my credit cards paid off before I lose my job. (That's a maybe at this point, but there is definitely shaky ground here). The plan is to cook up beans or lentils for the week, make some rice, and then eat lovely cheap healthy food and cut the...
  13. I plan on trying the one from this site https://www.celiac.com/articles/663/1/Irish...Free/Page1.html and adding caraway, of course.
  14. I'm the daughter of an irish immigrant who married into an irish-american family, does that count? I don't really celebrate St Pat's outside my home, but I tend to make some traditional food for my friends. We're having a game day this weekend and I'm making some gluten-free soda bread and some mini meat pies, both foods from my childhood. I did eat a...
  15. IBS - about 3-6 months (its a wide time frame, but it came and went for a while) Acid Reflux- the next day Sleep problems- about two weeks Lack of energy - 3 months Headaches - 3 months Memory Fog - almost instantly noticed a lessening in this, but took about 6 months to really be gone for good.
  16. Did you check out the google map from the group? I love that thing. Also, if you have dining cards or even a good spiel, most restaurants mid level and up are really knowledgeable and helpful. For your area, the Whole Foods and the Rainbow on the map are the best stores.
  17. I have the same thing, chronic sinusitis and tonsilitus, catch every cold, etc. I got allergy testing done, and it turns out I'm highly allergic to dust mites, cockroaches and juniper pollen. My colds and sinusitis were being caused by my nose being constantly inflamed, the same with my throat and tonsils. I'm now on a new allergy med called zyzal and am...
  18. Zadin is AMAZING. Every time we're in the city I say "Hey do you want to eat at Zadin?"
  19. My favorite artist is my mom: Open Original Shared Link When I was little she cleaned houses and worked as a maid at a B&B. She met a woman who was a painter, and cleaned her house for free for lessons. She's come a long way I'm really proud of her. In keeping with the grander theme of the thread, I'm a huge fan of all things art nouveau...
  20. Also keep in mind that artificial sweeteners can cause issues for people with GI problems. I know that they give me terrible stomach cramps and D.
  21. I made S'mores according the oven directions on the box and they were AMAZING! Its totally worth waiting for the oven to preheat.

    ARCHIVED Taco Bell

The hard shell taco's have oats in them, which can be cross-contaminated, so they are not considered gluten free. This should help. Open Original Shared Link and also this Open Original Shared Link
  23. Check out Van's Health food in Livermore. HUGE gluten-free selection. In Dublin, Amici's pizza has great gluten-free crusts and is really good about dealing with CC. Not all the toppings are gluten-free, but they will tell you which ones are ok.
  24. I like the tapioca bread out of all of those. It does tend to be a bit dry, but I find that toasting it or microwaving it slightly helps with that. Then I add lots of butter or other condiments. The good news is, it travels very well.
