  1. thank you for responding and donna---its the burning sensation--not DH--I have had it on my elbows a few months back---now that i realize neuropathy can effect your face, i also realize this is the same burning i felt on the balls of my feet when i was working my last job----i just recently started taking a B complex vitamin--does anyone know--is that enough...
  2. morning everyone----do any of you here also have neuropathy too---i do and i was just wondering if any of you have experienced burning face pain with it--at first i thought it was an allergic reaction, but from others i am hearing it just may be my neuropathy flaring up---my face burned so bad all day yesterday, yet didnt get red nor feel hot to the touch...
  3. michael--the light changes--on some days its very bright and some days it seems so far away--cleiacs sounds simple to deal with, but its a job--a constant vigiliance over your food, always needing to read ingredients before u open your mouth----its always on your mind--it has to be on your mind----keep at it--deb
  4. the GI is only guoting what he thinks he knows--there is no average time frame for us--if you are feeling better, then you know it is working--it takes time to get the poisons out of our systems---some celiacs need to go dairy free until the villi repairs itself---are you sure you are totally gluten free--are you checking the ingreds on your shampoo, soaps...
  5. i get canker sores everytime my tummy gets upset--i was always told they are caused by the stomach acids-------and kathleen--i read that for us celiacs or gluten intolerant that gluten is an addiction and that could be why you are craving deb

  7. that is weird, how are you feeling now--has the fog left---i am allergic to soy and an very corn limited now too, i also have problems adding vitamins--a good multi vitamin is ok, but i cant add calcium and now i am wondering if my B-complex is more then i can handle too-----it would be nice if it was just soy and corn for you----deb
  8. i found this out the hard way--i was using their lavender lotion and the itching began--i loved the scent, but i threw it all out--i dont normally have DH--only one incident on my elbows a few months ago--but i do get hives from lotions with wheat, barley, or oats in them---deb

  11. yes mela--i am corn limited--i cant use corn flour or corn meal--my sister says that some people who cant tolerate corn flour can use corn starch, but maybe you cant--there is a very good website for you to go to, i just have to find it--i will email it to you or put it in here for everyone--duh deb---anyways--it could be your meds---deb
  12. well maggie--here we go again---ME TOO---most of my life, more so as of the last several years---years ago i was told by the doctor that i was born with a malformed esphogas---i too choke on food--some foods more so then others---the worst food for me is some puddings, pineapple, bread, and meats-----my dad has the same problem and so does my sweetie at times...

  14. i have been gluten-free since july of 2001---my sister is celiac and now my father has been gluten-free since nov and he will be 70 next month--my sis is 46 and i am 49---we probably all have been celiac since young---my sis and i have always had problems and no diagnosis---my dad has always had stomach problems--i remember him taking little pink stomach...
  15. Megan---are you taking any kind of medication that may contain gluten--even something as simple as an aspirin that contains gluten can be a problem--medicine does not follow the same guidelines as foods do?????????? Deb
  16. well--you can be celiac and not have full blown damage in your intestines as of yet, or the scope may not have found the damages area, that's always a possibility too----the difference between the 2----a sensitivity means just that--you are sensitive to gluten and in my opinion should go gluten free--i also feel that gluten sensitive and intolerant go hand...

  18. most of these sites have food list and pharmacutical lists---i know www.clanthompson.com has a list--but as always--you should call the company and find out if the product is gluten free--medicines do not fall under the same guidelines as foods do, so you have to be even more careful with them-----deb

    michael--we are all in this together and i can understand why you are upset right now--i get the same way--i have been the same way for the last 2 weeks and i have been gluten-free for almost 4 yrs now---somedays i stomp my foot and say, "take it away, i dont want celiacs anymore!"--we will help you through this--otay--deb
  21. my sister told me to try the calcium chews because calcium tablets bother my tummy, she is celiac too and has used them--so i know they are gluten-free, as for the others, i dont know------last night i was in a CVS pharmacy and found that CVS vitamins are gluten free and dairy free--they state it on the bottles, just like the nature's way i have always used...

    michael---ummmmmm be upset with your doctor---i just sent my son, another michael, to his doctor--he requested that he be tested for celiacs and diabetes and do you know what that doctor said to him---"Umm Mike, I dont think you have symptoms of either, just regulate your diet!"--REGULATE YOUR DIET---what does that mean and no, he did not tell mike what that...

  24. me too---if they are touching, there is cross contamination going on--i know, not fair, but taking a chance is taking a chance--i have found that barley doesnt cause a reaction with me, but--just because i do not get physically ill does not mean they arent inside causing damage anyways--i was accidentally eating gluten in butter toffee flavored quaker cracker...
  25. i cant remember how many kinds there are but the original cadbury egg that looks like a real egg inside is gluten-free and so is the caramel one---i have had them--had one last week-----deb
