  1. Phewww, I'm on Nexium and just about had a heart attack when it was posted earlier that it had gluten. My doc told me it was gluten-free, so that's a relief! I take both Pepcid and Nexium. I take the Nexium at night before bed b/c I have problems with stomach acids during the evening/when I wake up in the morning. I like the Nexium, but it is prescription...
  2. www.glutenfree4me.com I like their muffins and cookies - Lauren
  3. OMG I just thought of another one today - Spaghettios!! They're hardly gourmet, but I could sure go for some right now! Is that weird or what?? - Lauren
  4. All of Jolly Time is gluten-free. I e-mailed them awhile ago and got a nice response. Even the kettle corn, etc. all gluten-free Enjoy! I'm addicted to Jolly Time mini-bags. - Lauren
  5. Renee, I too love Malibu Bay Breezes (I'm a girly drinker, and a light weight, so they work for me!) and I've heard that Malibu is gluten-free. Cheers! - Lauren
  6. A Seinfeld fan! I love it! - Lauren
  7. Oh no problem at all mamaw! I'm glad you reminded people! As a side note, I used to love Morningstar Farm's vegetarian "corn dogs" pre-celiac disease diagnosis, but I guess it's too much to ask for a vegetarian gluten-free corn dog, huh? - Lauren
  8. I e-mailed NEXT Proteins awhile back and they said that none of their Detour bars were gluten-free. Trader Joe's list is not reliable, in my opinion, as they had protein bars listed as gluten-free, when they had barley malt. Sorry! I like the Genisoy PB protein bars, have you tried them? - Lauren
  9. Waahh, my order didn't get here in time for Christmas, as it was supposed to! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Everybody Eats. They are a rare splurge for me, but when I got the coupon in the mail, I had to take them up on the sale. I ordered cinnamon buns, bagels, and cookies. I hope they hurry up and get here! Jillian - have you had their cinnamon rolls before? They...
  10. I eat Yoplait all the time. They will plainly list any gluten ingredients - the only Yoplait flavors that I've seen with gluten in them are the granola mix-ins. Yoplait and Columbo both do this, and I eat both regularly (depending on which is on sale!) Hope that helps! - Lauren
  11. HAHAHA Thank you for the laugh, CeliaCruz, I NEEDED that! - Lauren
  12. I have osteopoenia, but I'm only 24. I was on a prescription level Calcium supplement for awhile. I know I am due for another bone scan, and if things get worse I assume that I'll need to go on Actonel or Fosamax. I've heard about some not-so-great side effects with these drugs however, and I'm sure your doctor will be able to counsel you on your best options...
  13. I just bought a box of the new Peanut Butter and Chocolate Poppycock. It's sooooo good! And according to their website, all varieties of Poppycock are gluten-free - so go for it! They have a few new varieties out there. Just wanted to give the recommendation for PB lovers like me! - Lauren
  14. Let us know how they are! I just think it's funny/ironic because I'm a vegetarian, and I'm the one who found them - Lauren
  15. Yikes, I JUST bought Listerine today... does anyone use it successfully? I won't use it if it's questionable... - Lauren
  16. Hehe, I posted about this in the "things you miss" thread, here's the link again: Open Original Shared Link - Lauren

    ARCHIVED I Did It!

Good for you Beverly! Major Congrats! On a side note, have you been able to do any horseback riding lately? I'm a wimp about the cold weather, so I've stayed away from the barn recently - Lauren
  18. Found this for those of you who miss corndogs.... Open Original Shared Link I'm a vegetarian, so I won't be trying them... but if anyone does, let us know how they are! - Lauren
  19. Oops sorry, my info must be out of date! - Lauren
  20. Pillsbury Vanilla frosting is not gluten-free!! I'm pretty sure the rest are, but not Vanilla, just a heads up. - Lauren
  21. That is actually what I meant when I started the topic "Do You Ever Miss the Stupid Things?" I didn't mean for it to be a depressing topic about our favorite foods that we can no longer eat! In my original post I said that I was "mourning" the fact that I couldn't eat those Little Debbie X-mas tree snack cakes - the ones with waxy chocolate that isn...
  22. I had absolutely no knowledge of celiac disease and no idea that I was being tested for it (biopsy taken during a follow-up endoscopy for pancreatitis), so it's kind of funny that my "last meal" before diagnosis was a big pancake breakfast from Perkin's. I guess that was a good call on my part. - Lauren
  23. Right at this very minute I'm eating a slice of my leftover b-day cake from Mr. Ritts bakery... a chocolate-peanut butter sacchertorte... So much for eating "better" - it's absolutely delicious but hardly healthy!! - Lauren
  24. I used to LOVE those no-bake, oatmeal "drop" cookies... we made them with cocoa and peanut butter... yum. What substitute would you use for the oatmeal? I was thinking that maybe I could use a quinoa or amaranth hot cereal subsititute for the oatmeal. Has anyone tried to recreate this kind of cookie? - Lauren
  25. I've had the PB ice cream with reese's pb cups mixed in. They used a clean scoop and a clean bowl to mix it. I was just fine, but then again, I'm not always the most reliable with my reactions (or lack of). They were very accomodating though. This was a Coldstone in Ocean City, MD. I tend to stay away from any hand-scooped ice cream chains though, kinda...
