  1. traditional medicinals teas work better than gas-x, in my opinion.
  2. here are two of mine that you might enjoy. i made them for thanksgiving. i will put sugar-free ideas in brackets. [pineapple/peach crisp in crockpot] good with ice cream! i make my own, but you can use whatever you would normally use. this also good as is, or in crepes. 3 large, fresh peaches, sliced 1 600mL can of crushed pineapple, drained with...
  3. that's what i use, and i have seen them everywhere - but i got mine cheapest just at the local grocer.
  4. ONLY gas-x soft gels are gluten-free. the others are NOT.
  5. when you say 'sugar free', i am not sure your stand on artificial sweeteners... however, i think that a lot of desserts don't even need them (or much). any sort of pie would be good - if you use some sweeter fruits, that would definitely do the job. or even a compote on ice cream? i'll get them tonight when i'm at home on my computer, but did you...
  6. Open Original Shared Link these are casein free, too, but there are some for you.
  7. Hi Shannon - what type of dessert are you looking for? I have lots on file.
  8. Jamieson is free of lactose (casein), gluten, starch, yeast, preservatives, and so forth.
  9. so, today i went to go buy a new mascara, after returning one yesterday that had 'trace amounts of gluten in it', and she would only clarify if my doctor would fax her. anyway, i am not imposing my doc (i dont even have a family doc, anyway) to do that, so i trekked to return the mascara. i don't want to re-buy the one i always use, which ironically today...

    ARCHIVED Weight Loss

like ursula said, are you eating fat and protein, and making sure you balance you carbohydrate/fat/protein ratios per meal? what is a sample of what you are eating?
  11. i'm not sure what to tell you, as i don't shop in mainstream stores, really. i mostly go to the market for produce and the health food store for baking supplies. i would check your local stores, and because they are such a huge company (they have many brands under their name), chances are, if your store sells one of their items, they can order it for you...
  12. I don't know if it's too late, but what about a magazine subscription? When I was sixteen, I was a magazine whore.
  13. Edward's and Sons makes one available in Canada.
  14. I've never had them but a LOT of people have mentioned on here CC with FritoLay. Hope you feel better.
  15. Tattoos are fine; I checked before I got mine. The balm they recommmended had wheat germ, so I used Vitamin E instead. I am a notorious nail biter, so I avoid gluten in all skin products. That's your discretion, but if you do avoid it, then you should check the balm.
  16. happygirl, your post caught my eye - what test? the bloodwork? (sorry, with all the others, i'm just a little confused). hope you can help!
  17. like tarnalb, i've also only made gluten-free gravy. i usually use a cornstarch or amaranth flour, depending on what i am making.
  18. i have a silicone 9x5, 8x8, sheet and bundt pan. i do not have the cookie tins because i have a nice one already, and since i use cups anyway, i don't really worry about it sticking. i love them.
  19. I don't eat the gluten-free oats, but I'm glad you ditched it. I find that quinoa flakes work well as an alternative, and the 'rule of thumb' is to introduce the oats slowly, after a while. I'm sure in time you can! Right now, feel better
  20. i googled it out of curiousity and came up with conflicting results. i would assume that it isn't, for the reason of oats being cross-contaminted in general. i wouldn't risk it - but i would also call the company if you can't part with your tea.
  21. you should ask the chef.
  22. Open Original Shared Link that might help
  23. i googled them out of curiousity (Heron is the brand) and they are Ireland-based.
  24. i made gingerbread men last christmas and loved them. they were my first thing i re-made gluten/casein free, and was so excited. they are on my website below, under desserts if you want to see. i'm sure you can cut them into a house.
  25. when i first went gluten-free, i didn't realize there were two facilities, and got horribly ill and went downhill post diagnosis having a mug of hot carob (from bob's carob) every morning. i recommend not using anything not made in their gluten-free facility. everything labelled GLUTEN-FREE is safe for bob's... the other things (the polenta, grits, and...
