  1. Mine is brainfog, can't concentrate properly and forget what I'm supposed to be doing and feel unmotivated. My arms ache and feel heavy like the starting of flu and I suffer with fatigue. I'm pretty sure my eyesight is effected too and goes blurry.
  2. I was also told by my dietician to keep off them for 6 months and then reintroduce them slowly which I will be trying this week
  3. My leg pains only got unbearable after going gluten-free so I'm seeing doctor next week, but i'll try this....(unfortunately, I'm not sure I can take ibuprofen due to asthma). Following info from Open Original Shared Link ........ If you can predict a day or two ahead of when your period usually starts, you can lessen or prevent these leg cramps by...

  6. I'll mention it to my doctor...like you I always think the worst, but best to get it checked. Ps. If you find out where to get a PMA, please let me know CMW/DS.... if you miss chocolate, have a look into carob, its also got some health benefits.
  7. Awww sorry CMW....could Carob be an alternative? I've just had a 9bar (gluten free/dairy free) and it was yum !
  8. I hope this link is of some help. I know its in the UK, but there is an online course which caterers can do (although bear in mind that catering laws maybe different if considering obtaining certification) But I'm sure there must be something similar over the water Open Original Shared Link
  9. Nothing can replace chocolate!! Do I have to cut it out? Can't I just eat starch/potatoes as well ? Please?? ... I NEED chocolate for my mood lol
  10. I'm not saying don't try it, but as far as I'm aware, a Biocard does not test the full celiac panel. I used one on my 11yr old recently and it came up negative (he displays alot of symptoms of celiac). I'm really not confident in the result and as soon as hes brave enough to have a proper test done at the doctors, I'll take him. Best wishes
  11. I have been in terrible pain with my periods since I went gluten-free. For one day or two days I am totally wiped out, dizzy, sickly, doubled up with tummy pain but my main new symptom is severe pain down my thighs to the knees..Im dreading the next one and was wondering if it was something more serious. Sorry you are going through it as well and hope it...

  16. Thanks CMW, I will do it slowly and good luck to you too . I might have try at the whole30 as well, hope its working for you.
  17. I must try that! Open Original Shared Link I've also found a Quinoa breakfast cake recipe which I'm going to make this weekend on the glutenfreegoddess website .
  18. Thanks Bartfull, I hope you're right. (must admit ive had a distrust of doctors for years but my celiac consultant has been great... ..ive still got reserved thoughts on the dietician though)
  19. Oh yes..first things I tried ! Well they do say dark chocolate and red wine is good for you (in moderation of course lol) Cheers & Slainte !!!
  20. Gut busters lol ...my wine and choccy are safe but yes I will take it steady with the oats ..thank you
  21. Well I'm going to eat them too then...I think my diet is restricted enough!..so oats can be one of my treats....along with red wine and dark chocolate (well I say a treat, but I probably have all these on a daily basis)
  22. Thanks all . Yes I thought it seemed abit over the top as also theres nothing to say that I might gluten myself with something else inbetween! Oats is something I've missed, so I don't want them telling me I can't have them I'm not paying for the tests so will go with it anyway and be their guinea pig :-) suppose it will be interesting to know...
  23. So its coming up to me being gluten-free now for nearly 6 months. I asked my dietician if I could now try gluten-free oats. She told me that I need to have a blood test first to make sure my blood is free of gluten and if so, I can try the oats and then she'd like to monitor me by giving me another blood test to see if the oats have any affect on me. ...
