How Does the Team Gluten-Free™ Program Work?

Select an event in your town (5K/10K/half marathon/full marathon) and participate

    as a Team Gluten-Free™ member.

You can choose any event, even if it benefits another charity (i.e., Race for

the Cure). When you register for your event, the money will go to that charity.

This is the money you pay the event organizers so you may participate in their

event. When you fundraise, those dollars will go to Team Gluten-Free™’s

charities (Celiac Disease research and awareness programs and summer

camp scholarships for children with Celiac Disease).

Mail or fax your completed Team Gluten-Free™ registration forms to:

    Team Gluten-Free™

    550 W. Plumb Lane, Suite 168B

    Reno, NV 89509

    F: 775-747-4631

Once you register with Team Gluten-Free™, you will receive fundraising materials,

suggested training schedules, tips for completing your event and injury

    prevention.

You will also wear a Team Gluten-Free™ shirt the day of the race.

It’s that easy! Download your information packet here.

  3. If you have read some of the threads here, you know tht it's a frequent topic here.

Many people here have used Enterolab after their Celiac Panel and Endoscopy exams were inconclusive. For some, it's a piece of the puzzle.

If you are looking for a diagnosis for Celiac, that's not what they do. Some here, are please with their results for food sensitivity.

I, personally, have never seen an independent study as to the accuracy of their stool testing.

Dr. Fine's research has yet to be submitted for peer review, so can't tell ya.

Were you statisfied with your results?

  4. I went over the symptoms with my OBGYN and he diagnosed me with Interstitial Cystitis. I am on medicaid and they won't pay for the test or the medication needed so he diagnosed me based on symptoms. I have to follow yet another strict diet. I can't have anything high in acid, any preservatives, nitrates, or artificial colors. It seems pretty similar to gluten free with added restrictions on fruits and other foods. Can anyone help me with what I can eat?? I am going shopping in a few days. I am wondering about tomatoes. On the sheet the doctor gave me it says I can have homegrown tomatoes but not storebought. Can I have organic???

This is a great source. This was posted in 2006, but I assume the diet is still appropriate:

  5. So im on what seems like an anti-candida regimen only I dont have candida. However, whatever showed up on my stool test is definitely a yeast/fungus and is sensitive to the botanicals and antifungals that eliminate candida. so my question is what other types of yeasts can colonize in the GI tract and are they more or less invasive than candida?

    Jason,

Maybe you can get some of your questions answered here. It seems like a pretty good resource:

  6. I've heard that you can't always trust if "Modified Food Starch" is gluten free. But sometimes I see "Food Starch-Modified (Tapioca)" or "Food Starch-Modified (Corn)". Are those gluten free? For example, there is a new Starkist Salmon Creations (Mango Chipotle) that I want to try. But it has the tapioca food starch listed in the ingredients.

Modified Food Starch in the US is generally derived from corn. If otherwise, by law it must be listed as "Modified Food Starch (wheat). Barley and malt would not be a player here. So for the most part, if you don't see "wheat", it should be no problem.
