Anyone know if these have any gluten or lactose in them? Is there a way to check? Does anyone know if tomato juice can be gluten and lactose free?
Thanks guys
Good morning:
In the US maltodextrin is generally corn derived. All of V-8 entire line (to include Splash) are gluten free to date.
The best way to always know what is safe and unsafe is to be an expert are lable reading.

Does anybody know if Herbacin Kamille with Glycerine is gluten free?
It contain methyldibromo glutaronitrile? What is that? is if gluten-free?
I do not know, but do a google search and see what the source is. That is what I would do.

Smiley - go the the site index here on this site and check for the Forbidden list. That may give you some answers.

I know this may sound strange but the alternatives didn't sound good and I am feeling better than I have been for years. It's fun to be getting older and feeling better. of course it cast lots of money and after finally finding the right doc to put it all together.
I was having severe mental changes like suicidal thoughts, guilt, etc. Seriously I felt if things didn't get better I would end up in the psych. ward. I feel very strongly about the possible number of people who are on suicide watch eating a steady diet of hospital gluten ridden food.
After going gluten free I was better mentally in about 12-24 hrs and physicaly in about 5-7 days. Of course I did test it once and back into hell I went for 3 days. I have been battling vague episodes of severe fatigue and flulike symptoms as well as chronic oral HSV really for 18 yrs. Got worse after my second child was put on antidepressants which kept me going for another 8 yrs. until a "crash" on a vacation in April from which I never recovered thanks to Kashi bars daily. I've always been constipated and a bit overweight so my symptoms weren't apparant. However I was Dx'd with Crohns 10 yrs ago from which I thought had grown out of . Little did I know I was poisoning myself.
Anyway thanks for letting me lurk for a few week and helping me get to this point. I'm sure there will be more ups and downs and I still have lots of questions.
T.J.
Congratulations on your "de-lurking" and a very warm welcome. I hope that your health issues have made a turn-a-round because there are many new days ahead.
Please feel free to ask any questions. When, I first posted I believe that I was relentless.

Dear Gonbad,
You are so welcome! It sounds like you are very organized! That helps a lot. It is so stressful beginning this after not having to consider such things. Luckily, we have the forum! We can all help each other!
Dear gfp,
I was horrified to learn about people saying certain things are safe when they are not. We appreciate your warning. It makes no sense how someone could be so spiteful and post items as safe when they are not.
As for MSG, I agree that it is not healthy. Consuming it is unwise. I was surprised to learn it could be derived from wheat. I thought it was derived from seaweed. One thing I would like to correct about it is many times, people call the reaction "Chinese Restaurant Syndrome". The Japanese actually were the ones to discover adding seaweed to food was good at enhancing flavor.
Sincerely,
NoGluGirl
Jin, I have no reason to assume that someone here would post product information that was unsafe for spite. I do not believe this to be true. As you know this is a very giving, compassionate forum. I cannot, nor will not speak for Steve, but, his comments regarding cross/country product information is accurate. Lea & Perrins is safe in the US, but not in Canada. Maltodextrin in the US is generally safe, but not always in other countries. M&M's (other than the crunchy) are safe in the US, but not in Austrailia.
We do have an international forum here and I for one, do admit to not clarifying product information by country at times, but will remember to do this in the future.

I have read that La Choy Teriraki is gluten free as well as their soy sauce. It does not list wheat and they are a ConAgra product and they will always list. But please double check.
In the US it is considered gluten free.

It does take time (four years for you Ann?). I have been there for almost two years and Thursday night I go "slimed"....with one drop of my husbands hamburger mustrard on my steamed brocolli.
(huff)... refractory is another word like IBS. There are reasons and a cure there somewhere, just not research available yet.
Keep looking.

the produxts that i bought were
Curly sexy hair curl inhancer

big sexy hair flip it over
Thanks everyone.
Hope you didn't spend too much money:
Vulgare - is barley
Oat kernel flour would not be safe due to cross contamination
Delphi - what in the world is that?
Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioners have gluten products. (wheat/oats)
Have no earthly idea aboaut deva curl angel or big sexy hair flip it over.
It is always wise to call the company and see if they are gluten free before you spend alot of money. Please be careful with your products. Many of these can make you ill.

Sorry Sweetie, I guess you had a bad day. Gluten sucks some time and it can bring out the dreaded beast. Good for Ben for trying to help.

Gonbad:
I like you attitude. After all, we all seek information and then we make the best choice for ourselves.
Granted, we have many here with side issues and their situation may be very intense which bores out their advocacy. I believe it to be informative with information to be accepted or not.
We all come from a varied places. My situation may not fit others, but the information presented here give you that option to "choose wisely". (my most favorite quote and use it often)

YES, IT IS GLUTEN FREE, whew

Help! A dear older friend of ours is trying to help me and cook my favorite pre-gluten free foods. She's 82 and can not understand the full concept of gluten free eating.
Tonight she made me a seafood casserole and wrote the ingredients down for me. Which is a great effort on her part.
I really don't want to hurt her feelings by not eating it. The only questionable ingredient is the worcestershire sauce. I do not know if it is Lea & Perrins and perhaps it may be French's.
I will try to check their web site, but any quick answers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Lisa

My 4 yr. old daughter has been having stomach pains for awhile. Her doctor gave me a referral to see a pediatric gastro. doctor. When I went to the doctor I told him to do the blood test for Celiac disease even though he didin't think she has it. Well, her IGA was low a 15. He now wants to do an Endoscopy to confirm that she does have Celiac's. I told him that I wanted to change her diet, before I would put her under anastesia. He disagrees..
I also read that the blood levels have to be elevated to be Celiac's not low? Any help would be really apprecitaed.
Thanks,
Jennifer
Jennifer:
I am not a mom with a Celiac child, but you need to know that an endoscopy exam will not necessarily rule in Celiac, but it can be used to determine the amount of damage. Biopsys can miss and the viewing is not always reliable. If you choose to do the endo, insist on 8 - l0 samples to be biopsied (it is painless).
I am not familiar to numbers and I should not comment. I am sure that other mother will be here soon and add their impute.
Just remember, that you are hiring your doctor. Often a good gut reaction is the best choice.

I never knew that that could cause the face to flush!!! A lightbulb just went on in my head!!!LOL I have that tooo!!!! Wow. I really love this board.....So many pieces of teh puzzle have come together!!!! It's great!!!!
I have never heard anyone on this board comment about this "facial perspiration" when eating. But I have pin-pointed it down for me. I don't know whether I have a casein issue or a lactose issue, but it's an allergy at the least. Glad to know I have a witness.
Oh, I have a reaction to wine as well - sulfates, and we do wine tasting every Saturday and always the same reaction. I should know, but I don't was the source of sulfates are. (and not even sure that I have spelled it properly).

Order a salad with no croutons and bring your own dressing. I do this all the time. That is always a safe way to go. Or you can order oil and vinegar dressing....and no explanation needs to come. Enjoy your time.
