In the United States we have one kind of M&M's that are not gluten-free, so, maybe in Australia you do, too, Georgie.
Hmmmm??.......Oh, yeah, the crunchy ones. Forgot about those.

When I heard the song I knew it but he was first popular in 1964 - that's 40 years ago. I was still a twinkle in my daddy's eye then....
And please not one get upset - I'm not trying to offend anyone by how long ago it was. I think it's great that we can share this stuff.
The song is called "Secret Agent Man", can't remember who sang it, but it was a theme song for a tv show in the 60's if I recall. (sort of a 007 type show).
I'll have to keep an ear out for Jonny Rivers.
-
How could you NOT know who Johnny Rivers is!?!?!
Oh wait, that "24" in your name must have something to do with your age....
I am clueless also

You should remember that it took you quite some time to have damage and it will as well, take some time to heal. It took me about 6 months to see considerable improvement. Others, it may take days or weeks to feel better.
After being gluten free for about a year and a half, it appears that I react about 24 hours later and can feel bad for several days after.
Everyone seems to react differently.

Stress can be a factor for me. In fact, stress was my trigger for Celiac..
I hope things will "settle" soon.

Well...we all know my bum is glued up! I've certainly got a turd stuck crossways!
I guess I'm not the only one.
Actually, Bev, I had you in mind
Sticky buns
Gosh, it's good to be back to "normal", whatever that is.

I have a book "The Essential Gluten-Free Restaurant Guide", by Triumph Dining.
It has celiac friendly restaurants listed by cities. And it also lists gluten free items from many well known dining places.
I have used it several time and it has been quite helpful.

I don't know if this has been pointed out, but srokie claimed that ALL Kimberly-Clark toilet papers are "dusted," and yet we've had at least two very sensitive people say their paper of choice is Scott. Folks, Scott IS a Kimberly-Clark company.
I'm also curious why wehat-flour dusted toilet paper wouldn't leave a little pile of flour dust on the floor below the holder, in addition to you know where else.
richard
Oh MY! We all would have glued up bums.
-
i really appreciate everyone helping me, its nice to be able to come to a place and discuss the gluten content of toilet paper without someone looking at you like you should go to the loony bin!
Have you not seen the "You Know Your a Celicac If..." Post.
Could some one post this link? I know, computer 101 starts tomorrow.

Ok, i want to ask a question, i was under the impression that as long as you are not eating toilet paper or shampoo, it did not matter if gluten was in it, can someone xplain otherwise? thanks!
To my knowlege, no one here eats toilet paper, LOL, but what do I know.
Shampoo can get into your mouth during a shower. Some are sensitive to wheat in their products, and may result in being glutened or an outbreak in DH.
Thanks for asking. We are here and we are nice.
I am so, the last to post to this question. But, certainly have enjoyed the others.

Heck yes, just ask the hubby. That's when I get out the brown rice and more water. And he leaves the house. Chicken!

I am not being argumentative here, nor have I.
Since I arrived on this site in August, 2005, I have heard repeatedly that Kraft is one of the "good" companies and that they will ALWAYS list. Time and time again, this information is passed on newbies.
There has never been any discrepancies regarding this information., until today or yesterday.
Srokie, was very insistent that her information was correct and appeared resistant to the contrary. Do I condone being rude, of course not.
Perhaps she is young and perhaps naive, but perhaps with a little open-mindedness on her part, this thread may have taken a different road.
Just my two cents.

La Choy Soy Sauce is also gluten free. But, Wheat free Tamari is soo much better.
-
THANK YOU CARRIE FOR POSTING THAT.!!!
This information is just about as accurate as it can get. Thank you again.
-
Sorry Debbie, I am of no help. Others will post with some information for you.
-
Srokie:
I think if you would take some time and read through all the wonderful information on these posts, I know it would be very helpful to you and perhaps a little eye opening.

I've learned to watch out for food combinations. Nothing to do with a celiac reaction. Just a poor choice of what is eaten with what. Early on with this diet and with so many things disallowed, I'd find myself still hungry and/or unsatisfied after a meal. Searches of cabinets and the frig would produce odd, sometimes inadvisable additions to the original meal.
The absolutely worst for me is close to suicide: cashews and any type of fish.
I love cashews and sometimes eat a handful without even thinking. If I've had any kind of fish at the previous meal or if I have fish at the next meal, I am incapacitated for hours.
Cashews and fish?
But I have always wanted to ask you about your avitar. Where were you and what were you doing? Fun or fund?

applebee's sucks!

Obviously, this issue is not subject to resolve, at this point.
Perhaps, we should move on.

Slowly entering this conversation............. at the risk of entering a hornets nest
I have gained a great deal of knowledge by listening and learning from richard's posts. I respect his expertise tremendously. Nor, have I every been ill from any product information that he has posted.
With that said, I slide out the door.

Welcome
Yes many of your symptons are common to Celiac. I had the same reaction you are experiencing for several months before being dxd.
I would like to mention that a colonoscopy will test the large intestines. It might be wise to rule out other issues.
And endocopy exam with at least 6 - 8 biopsies will indicate if you have celiac in your small intestines. That is where the flattening of villi and damage can be viewed.
I am sure that other will add to this.
Good luck with your appointment.
