  1. Sorry you're ill. Oat are notorious for cross contamination in the fields and in processing. That's why it's often recommended that you add oats to the forbidden list unless you can find some dedicated oat not subject to cross contamination. There are some out there.

  4. My experience was similar to what Peter mentioned. Until you have healed, any food can be problematic. It took me three to four months to feel better, to know what "glutened" felt like.
  5. I would think so, but you can confirm by contacting The Celiac Disease Foundation at www.celiac.org

  8. Hi David, Yes, the learning curve it very steep! To help make it easier, here is a listing of companies who will clearly list all forms of gluten. When you buy these products, you know there is nothing hidden in "natural flavors" or "spices". These are the good guys: Open Original Shared Link ALL Del Monte Tomatoes & Tomato Products are...
  9. Open Original Shared Link Here is a Candida Diet Forum. Perhaps your question would be more likely to be addressed here. If your concern is Celiac or a gluten intolerance, I don't believe that Kashi Cinnamon Crunch is gluten free. Hope you feel better soon.
  10. I have given my name and contact information if someone has gluten free needs through the Food Pantry. I haven't gotten any calls though. You could contact your local Department of Social Services. They might know of a family in need.
  11. Hi pupok and welcome to the Club! We are here to help you in manner that we can. The next few months will be a remarkable ride (for the better). In the beginning, I would be as gluten free as possible to include your shampoo.
  12. Talk about whining... THE BOTTLE OF WINE For all of us who are married , were married, wish you were married, or wish you weren't married, this is something to smile about the next time you see a bottle of wine: Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking...
  13. Yes, symptoms for Celiac could very well mimic the need for antidepressants. I have know several members here who successfully lost the need for such meds. I would certainly consult your doctor to make sure that you, physically and mentally, can handle this change.
  14. Congratulations Elonwy and Lisa on your upcomming wedding. Planning is so much fun. (I have one to plan in August and one in October )
  15. I don't know when this list has been updated, which is the negative side of lists. Product information changes frequently. The good folks at the Dallas ROCK group compiled this listing, which has been helpful to thousands. If anyone has updates with more current product information, pass it on the them so they can update their list. There is contact...

  19. Many members here have said that they react poorly to Frito/Lays products. Only Lays Staxx are producted on dedicated lines and are not subject to possible cross contaimination. Hope you daughter recovers quickly.
  20. Although this is a 2004 article, it still is a little disturbing: Open Original Shared Link I have a friend that is a diagnosed Celiac and has travel to some of the most remote areas of the world, where farming and harvesting has been done the same way for centuries. She is able to eat wheat products without any issues.

    ARCHIVED The Gluten Doctors

Laura, I am sorry for your family history and your loss. It, no doubt, has influenced you, as is understandable. I am not certain that the Celiac National Organization chose to pass on the blog because they do not believe in gluten sensitivities, but differ in their approach to achieve a diagnosis. Endorsement requests from these national organizations...
