  1. Welcome to the Club, regardless of your testing. You saw improvement going gluten free and that's part of the diagnostic package. As you already know, there is a great of information here. Please make your self at home and ask any questions you may have.

  5. Google "Tootsie Rolls - Gluten Free", and see what you come up with. The internet is wonderful If the ingredients appear ok, you could call the company or trust the labels. I tend to trust the labels .

  7. I use B&M Beans and spice them up with Lea& Perrin's Worcestershire Sauce (US ONLY), Kraft Mustard, Tabasco Sauce, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce, Green Peppers and Onions....with bacon on the top. Yes,not all baked beans are gluten free.
  8. Soooooo.....if you are a super sensitive, contact with the companies is easily available. I have found most to be a CYA statement*. But, you will have to make that judgment for yourself. I plan on presenting a full basket. *(please read all labels)

  10. If it were me, I would revisit everything I came in contact with. Keep a food log to include vitamins, lotions, lipsticks, shampoo.....
  11. I would say: " Thank you so much for your effort, but I'm very new to this diet and know that I get very, very ill when I eat something that contains the slightest bit of gluten. My level of sensitivity is really too much to impose on my friends who choose to cook for me. Thanks you for your kindness, and I'm certain that the others will enjoys it "

  13. It can take a while and you might be sensitive to all foods until you begin to heal. Also you might want to review your diet to make sure something is not sneaking past you.

We have all walked in your shoes and here to help. I stayed home for two months, until my gluten free life took hold. We are glad you're here and glad to be helpful!!!!

    FOUR kids in College? Holy Moly. ...oh sorry I was distracted! Go for the reality...Go totally gluten free. Give it a serious go for two months at the least. It's really not all that difficult, although a few things might need to go. But quality alternatives are available. But let's not go here just yet. Try a diet of meats, fish, fresh...

  23. As much as I love onions (cooked or raw) they do not settle well with me and chocolate gives me awful reflux within minutes. Neither are gluten related, but they both serve as a reminder that "I'm Special".
  24. Wheat Glucose can be processed to the level of being gluten free (or below the criteria of what is acceptable as being safe for people with Celiac to consume @ 20 part per million).
