  1. I just at your profile. YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY! And you should have everything to look forward too! Gluten can disrupt your life tremendously. But I would encourage you to find a good doctor and have a metabolic panel tested. And I have listed some contacts for local support people, who can find supportive professionals. Open Original...
  2. I agree, there is not one Campbell's soup that I would buy. Even thought it may not list wheat, barley could be an ingredient. The Canadian Campbell's Gluten Free Listing is quite different from the US.
  3. As you travel through the gluten free lifestyle, you will notice that your reaction time will vary. That makes it very difficult to pin point and issue. And sometimes, you never know. And everyone is different. You will learn your own clock, once you are healed. You may be one who reacts to the slightest bit of cross contamination...at home, work or...
  4. Connie, the majority of people with Celiac Disease do NOT have GI issues. I will try to find a link to support that (but gotta go fix supper). Often times, Celiac Disease is a secondary diagnoses to other things like diabetes, fibro, gluten ataxia, DH, just to name a few.
  5. Pale yellow, greasy, foul-smelling stool: malabsorption of fat due to pancreatic insufficiency, as seen with pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, cystic fibrosis, celiac disease. Keep a food diary and document everything that goes in your mouth. Check your meds, vitamins, shampoos, lipstick, shaving cream and lotions.
  6. Yup, ditto
  7. Panara make no claim of gluten free food, nor a gluten free menu. They do provide a book consisting of all ingredients in their products. They do have several choices that have no gluten ingredients. But, surely, due to the preparation method they use and the constant exposure to cross contact or contamination, the risk is a heafty one for those that...
  8. I'm sorry, I have a different perspective... but sorry you had an unpleasant experience. Although Panera offers several lunch options that do not contain gluten, it's a HIGH risk for cross contamination. Surely, you knew that before your ordered. It's a bread company that served meals. I am not one that is subject to cross contamination. And I...
  9. Whoa Dave, it sounds wonderful! A good subject for inside summer heat. Thank you!
  10. Keep a food diary. It often can pin point an issue. But, depending on your damage, it could take up to a couple of years for a full recovery. Post your daily menu. Many of us can help you with a potential issue.
  11. Yoplait is the way to go. They will list any forms of gluten, which is only in the cookies/granola, on their ingredient listing. I believe they will label gluten free now.
  12. Do a search here on the SCD diet (it's only a cazillian pages long). ALL your questions will be answered. I'll see if I can find it:
  13. Maybe not too relevant to the topic....but since people have stopped drinking tap water, cavities are on the increase, due to the lack of fluoride being consumed by bottle drinkers (which is added to most community water). That's the end of my scientificness!
  14. All Pilots have to have recurrent check rides annually, as well as the plane must have an annual inspection. Professional Pilots, twice a year. Karen, ask how many hours the pilot has in that particular plane, as well as other planes. Check the weather. If the temperature is in the 90's and the plane is heavy with overweight people. Sit it out...
  15. premature post, most likely... But, I met a Psilly today! Happy that Patti is where she should be.
  16. Well that's not good news. I did notice the disarray on the shelf the other day.
  17. Oooop... Still true about Hershey.
  18. Not sure, but getting an honest, forthright answer out of Hershey, would be nothing less than a miracle. They have never been a "Celiac" friendly corporation.
  19. Open Original Shared Link
  20. CONNIE!!! A birthday cake is not an issue! We have Betty Crocker now...thank goodness. Try the chocolate cake mix, with Pillsbury Choc. Frosting.. but always read the labels. Open Original Shared Link Happy Birthday
  21. In Asian countries, it can be derived from gluten, as I recall.
  22. They list all ingredients and declare allergens. That's pretty simple Open Original Shared Link I'm afraid that most companies are getting away from listing their products as "gluten free", instead they are listing products by ingredients, as in McD's or declaring "NO GLUTEN INGREDIENTS". Declaring something gluten free is a formidable guarantee...
