  1. There are several yogurts that are safe for celiacs to eat. Yoplait (made by Kraft), Mountain High Yougurt (says gluten-free on the container and is lower in sugar than other brands), and Kroger yogurts (if I remember correctly VydorScope called and found out they were safe). Hope this helps. Hez
  2. For some reason I cannot take any Excedrin products. They make me sick. I never bothered to look into it. I just switched to a different medicine (I do not get migranies). Maybe your body reacts to something in it like mine. Hopefully, you can find a different medicine that can provide you relief. Hez
  3. I am sorry I am not of help. I do not drink beer. I happen to be one of the sensitive ones (I have reacted to a crumb). I can only imagine how I would feel after having a beer Hez
  4. I get my oats from www.glutenfreeoats.com. They have gone to great lengths to provide a gluten-free oat. Hez

TinkerbellSwt, I think I got it off of a bag of chicken wings or Frank's Red Hot sauce I never claimed to be creative in the kitchen! 2 1/2 lbs. chicken wing pieces 1/2 cup Frank's Ret Hot sauce 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine Bake wings at 425 for one hour or deep fry 12 minutes at 400. Combine sauce and butter. After wings have...
  6. I spoke with my dentist and then called the company because they were unsure. Turns out the company is nupro. They were very nice and are gluten-free! This is a common polish so I would call the dentist to see which one they use. Hez
  7. I remember last year finding them at Alberson's (grocery store). I think this chain is mainly on the western US. Hez
  8. My guess is that along with the gluten you also got a bug from the potluck. Consider it a double whammy! I no longer take my chances even with something that is naturally gluten-free (like fruit). I never know if the surface they cut the fruit on had bread crumbs on it (yes, I am that sensitive). Hope you feel better soon! Hez
  9. If you are burning more calories (exercise) than taking in you should be losing weight. Unless, there is another underlying health issue. One of the first things I thought of is your thyroid. You might want to discuss with your doctor having your levels checked to make sure the thyroid is functioning. Hopefully, you will figure it out and start droping...
  10. I know Benadryl is gluten-free, I checked a couple of weeks ago. I think Robitussin is gluten-free as well, just can't find the info. Could you have the brain fog from the medicine? I only ask because I feel like that when I take the Benadryl. Feel better soon! Hez
  11. Would you mind posting your recipe for the dinner rolls? My kids really miss the gluten rolls. They snubbed my gluten-free ones last year. I thought they were good! Hez
  12. Pure maple syrup is okay. However, no one in my house will eat the good stuff! We buy Kellogg's brand Eggo syrup. I checked over a year ago and it was safe. I have not checked on it in awhile. Hez

I have no idea I am not brave enough to even find out. The thought of cc is what scares me away. All of thought flour floating around! Maybe someone else knows. I hate to say this but it is easy (but time consuming, the wings are in the oven for an hour) to make your own. I know, it is not as convient but it is safer. Hez
  15. Sadly, my Wild Oats only has the shelf stable products. They carry none of the breads, muffins or pizza crusts Hez
  16. Sorry you did not like it I was never a beer drinker even before dx. So for me I kinda like it. It is light and not heavy. My dh who is a beer snob thinks it is gross! Hez
  17. For me the key is planning ahead. On the weekends when I have extra time I might make a batch of soup or extra of whatever meal I am making that night. I pop it into the freezer to have on hand for those nights when the schedule falls apart. It sounds like you are feeling a little overwhelmed by everything, I am sorry. I hope you find the support...
  18. I had a difficult time drinking alcohol after going gluten-free. After about six months of gluten-free I was able to drink again. You could also have an issue with sulfites? You might want to try an orgainc wine and see if you have the same reaction. Organic wines have very little or no sulfites and none added. Hope you feel better. Hez
  19. I have no idea about the St Ives products. Who owns them? Hez
  20. CarlaB, I don't mean to be dense but is coconut oil similar to baby oil? Do you put it on after the shower before you dry off? Do you buy it at a health food store? Does it smell and taste like coconut (my dh hates coconut)? Thanks, Heather
  21. There was a thread awhile ago that said Target candy corn was gluten-free! Hez
  22. I know that there are old threads out there about body lotion but I would like the most recent gluten-free options. Now that cold weather is on the way back my very dry skin is to (it is not dh). What products do people use that are gluten-free and great for severe dry skin? Thank You Hez
  23. I went about 9 months to a year before drinking milk. I did not cut out all dairy, just milk. It was the only thing that made me have stomach aches. Hez
  24. The days of walking in and just ordering off the menu are over. No matter where you go you need to communicate with the waiter (even when ordering off of a gluten-free menu). You are your best advocate. I know it is hard (I still struggle with this) but this is your health. Hez
  25. If my memory is good (wouldn't bet your life savings on it ) they only run nut thins on their own line. However, there is something made in the same plant that has wheat in it. Call the company and see if this is still true. I eat them all the time, I like the almond ones the best. Hez
