  1. I use Swanson's broth all the time. Some are not gluten-free though so you need to be careful. I only use the Natural Goodness (or something like that) chicken broth in the can. I see if I can't find my sheet that lists the swanson's broth. Hez
  2. I think I ordered the Glutino ice cream cones from the web. It probably came from shopbydiet.com. The cones are fragile and there is some breakage. But it is minimal and worth it for the chance to have an ice cream cone. Hez
  3. The lemon wafers are wonderful! I also like the ice cream cones. Hez
  4. We went to Disneyland last spring break and had a wonderful vacation! I got glutened but it was my fault Really great place to go. Hez
  5. My understanding (not being in Canada) is that the smarties in the US are a different candy. The smarties in Canada are similar to m&ms. The US smarties are a sugary treat, no chocolate. Hez
  6. This happens to me all the time! Hez
  7. My guess is cc from the restaurant. I have had the flavored creamers (not that flavor) and not had problems. Hope you feel better soon. Hez
  8. My understanding is that carmel color in the US is safe for celiacs. Most sodas (pepsi, coke) are gluten-free. Hez
  9. I am only gluten-free so I am not sure about the other issues. In the past I have used Kraft marshmellows, margarine/butter and a gluten-free rice crisp cereal (I cannot remember the name Erewin?). Hopefully, someone who has similar issues can be of more help than me Hez
  10. I use the children's liquid and do not have problems. I remember it being gluten-free but I could not find that information on their website. I will keep looking and post if I find something. Hez Found this on the Benadryl website. Hez Q. Do any of the Benadryl® products contain gluten? A. We do not specifically test for the presence of gluten ...
  11. Thank you for joining in Richard! I will keep looking to see where I read that carmel color in the US is safe. Maybe it was Gluten Free Living magazine? Hez
  12. I use Best Foods (same as Hellman's West of the Rockies) without issue. It is a Unilever company and I thought that is one of the companies that clearly labels. Hez
  13. We use velveeta for those cheesy dips at family functions (was just at one this weekend). I always read the label just in case ingredients change! Everytime I read it it is gluten-free however, the rest of the ingredients may shock you Hez
  14. My doc found a nodule on my thyroid about 14 years ago. Had an ultra sound (don't remember what they found out), had some type of scan, then had a needle biopsy that came back clean. The ENT didn't believe the biopsy (can't remember why) and did surgery. Turns out I had cancer and a tumor on one side of my thyroid. They removed the entire thyroid and...
  15. I am so sorry you got sick. Eating out is always risky so I limit how often I go out. When I do go out I try and keep to places that have a gluten-free menu. This does not mean I won't get sick, just gives me some level of comfort that they know what their doing. I remember reading a thread somewhere about Red Lobster not being overly friendly towards...
  16. I am so glad you had a good trip without getting sick! Hez
  17. I have not had problems with Snickers. Could it be something else? Maybe too much sugar? Hez
  18. IMHO biopsy could come back negative. The endoscopy might have not gone where the damage was. Was she eating alot of gulten for five weeks? I am not sure how much or for how long you need to be on gluten to get damage to show up. At this point it sounds like the docs don't think she has it so it is up to you. If you think she has it keep her gluten-free...
  19. I drink Maker's Mark whiskey with no problem. I remember seeing it on a gluten-free list somewhere. I will see if I can find it. Hez
  20. Actually, the US has no law regarding gluten-free, the definition or how many ppm is allowable for gluten-free. It is my understanding that the FDA is looking into the issue and is expected to rule/make a report (whatever they do) regarding gluten-free in the US sometime next year. Hez
  21. I remember reading somewhere (yes, I know that is not helpful) that carmel color is safe if made in the US. For example coke-a-cola has carmel color but is gluten-free. Hopefully, someone more on top of things (I'm thinking Richard) will pipe in! Hez
  22. If you like Midori (melon liquor, bright green color) it is gluten-free as well as DiSorno (sp?) amaretto (sp?). I contacted the company about a year and a half ago and was informed both are gluten-free. Hez
  23. Even though the ingredients look okay it is not gluten-free. It is not as good but Kraft makes a ranch dressing and premade dip that is safe. Hez
  24. I avoided lunch meat with both pregnancies. I ate leftovers or made chicken/beef for sandwhiches. The good news is that after nine months you get eat it again! Hez
  25. When I went gluten-free I thought I would have to throw out all of our favorite recipes that had soup in it. I found this website for gluten-free cream of anything. Open Original Shared Link The texture and consistency is as close as I have come to the "real" thing. It is very easy to make (not as easy as opening a can, but those days are over). ...
