  1. After seeing your post, I bought some of the Archer Farms Fusili last night - WOW. I am hooked! Thank you, bc if not for your post I never would have tried it!
  2. Wow. That is so difficult. I'm sorry you had to go through that. For me, for the most part my family is very supportive so I don't have to deal with that too often. At some point you might just lose your temper and yell at her, and if you do, that is OK. You have to get your point across somehow. Just keep doing what's right for YOU. HUGS.
  3. Yes, I got it for my android. It's a GREAT app!!
  4. I am waiting patiently for my red velvet cake mix to arrive. I will let you all know how it comes out!
  5. Oh my, did I read that right? Gluten free pepperoni roll??
  6. Lucky Lefty here. My grandfather used to tell me to 'write with your good hand' and my mother would tell him to leave me alone - so I didn't get switched thankfully!
  7. I really love it - it stays on well, doesn't bleed. Really good quality and worth it!!
  8. I opted out of the endo and biopsy. The bloodwork was enough for me, and the fact that once I went gluten free I started to feel MUCH better.
  9. Can someone recommend a pizza dough that I can order? I want to start making my own pizza, but I'm not quite savvy enough to make the dough from scratch. Any that you've tried? Thanks!
  10. I just ordered two more. Mauve Me is now my favorite lipstick color!
  11. I can tell you that when I was there in 2011, Bubba Gump Shrimp had a gluten free menu. I wasn't diagnosed at the time. I'm planning to go back in 2014 and I can't wait!
  12. I haven't been having any reactions to my current lipsticks by MAC, but I am trying to go completely gluten free in every aspect of my life, so I ordered two lipsticks from Red Apple Lipstick. Many of you recommended this company which makes gluten free and paraben free make up products. The lipstick colors are gorgeous! I got them today. I went back and...
  13. Yes, definitely push for the tests. My niece was diagnosed a few months after me b/c I pushed her parents to get her tested.
  14. SO glad you're out of there! I would have lost it too!! Hope you're solidly on the mend now.
  15. I always keep a Lara bar in my purse. I never know if I might run into an issue somewhere and I don't want to be stuck without something to eat. True that everything is processed in one way or another. Totally up to you though in terms of what you deem 'processed.'
  16. I haven't tried Breyer's since being diagnosed (in early April) and now I'm going to steer clear! I have had several flavors of Edy's and I haven't had any reaction at all. I was jumping for joy when I realized I could still have Rocky Road! Feel better!
  17. Hello All, As promised here's my review of Texas de Brazil. HOLY CRAP IT WAS AMAZING! The chef came out and walked me through the tremendous salad bar. There were only four things at the salad bar that I could not eat! The salads were all without croutons, they had the croutons in a separate bowl. There was shrimp, salmon, soups, all different salads...
  18. Open Original Shared Link Interesting article about Dunkin Donuts planning to introduce gluten free items to their menu.
  19. Thanks for the tip! I will make sure I leave room and that I have the proper frosting! I don't think the buttercream on red velvet is a crime bc I happen to really like buttercream! I'll let you know when I get my package
  20. Thanks! I'm def doing all I can to help. She's 13 and not enjoying the dietary changes. Having me there to go through it with her is helping I think. They're in the process of getting my younger niece tested now.
  21. Shipping info is there - I just ordered the red velvet cake mix!!
  22. Ok so wait, seriously, no ring? I'm so upset right now! What about a t shirt? Can I get a t shirt? Glad you're getting answers. So many Dr's give misinformation so do GOOD research before you see GI. One GI told my neice, "well, I want to do endoscopy to see how much damage there is to see how much gluten you can have on a regular basis." When I heard...
  23. Good point! I'm just looking forward to this conversation with the chef
  24. I don't know if any of you have a Texas de Brazil near you. It's a Brazilian steakhouse that opened recently near me. I called them to find out if I could safely eat there. The girl on the phone didn't bat an eye and said, yes, I'll put a note on your reservation that says Celiac, and the chef will come out and explain everything to you and tell you what...
  25. I use Blistex and to my knowledge it's gluten free - (I wrote the company about 3 months ago when I was diganosed.) I also use the Dove hair products.
