Are these GI doctors affiliated with Winthriop univ. Hosp.? Still looking for a specialist in celiac disease on Long Island. Peter Green and his group don't take my insurance and want $500 to walk in the door. My current GI is ok but I would prefer someone with more knowledge on celiac disease. THanks

Thank you. I will give them a call tomorrow.

I asked. None of the Doctors in the group participate in my plan. I was willing to see any of them. I'm sure they are all great.

ARCHIVED Angie's Baby Is Born!de caps replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff Hi Angie, First I want to say Annika is so beautiful. When my three kids were gassy at this age I tried a few drops of Mylacon. It is an over the counter medicine found in the children's section of the pharmacy. It is made especially for infants. Two small drops is all that it took to help relieve the gas. I often gave them before breast feeding to...

She has developed her own line of gluten-free, sugar free and preservative free foods which she sells out of her office in Woodbury, NY. She makes gluten-free blintzes, muffins...

ARCHIVED 7 Yrs gluten-free & I Look Pregnant!de caps replied to Enough's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease HI, Your story sounds like mine. I have had continued bloating and discomfort since going gluten-free after my diagnosis 2 years ago. I just had a colonoscopy and several biopsys were taken. It turns out I have MICROSCOPIC COLITIS. My GI doctor said this now explains it. I was begining to think she thought I was crazy. I was prescribed COLAZAL for...

ARCHIVED Boar's Head Commercialde caps replied to NWLAX36Mom's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications It is great that Boars Head is gluten-free. What about cc on the slicing machines? I was told to avoid the deli counter for this reason. I only buy the prepackaged gluten-free cold cuts. I think Boars Head meats are the best. I don't know if I could trust them.

I was told that I had fibromyalgia by a rheumatologist 2yrs ago. At that time my ANA was only slightly positive (1:80). He didn't think much about my ANA then. Thanks for your help. Donna
-
I just had my routine celiac blood work done.My celiac test were all normal. My GI doctor ordered an ANA and it was extremely elevated. 1: 1280 ( less than 1:40 is considered negative.) She wants me to see a Rheumatologist to rule out other autoimmune disease like Lupus since having one autoimmune disease puts you at risk for another. I don't have any...

ARCHIVED *****fyi***********&Link to websitede caps replied to mouth's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Thanks again Lynn. I shop at the Stop N Shop in Bellmore. As per the article from Dr. Zone we really might not need a gluten-free sunscreen if we wash our hands before eating. That is what I suspected anyway. I prepare non-gluten-free foods for my family and don't have any problems as long as I wash my hands right away. Hand washing is key in cutting...
