  1. I thought it was good last night--pretty sad, but good....
  2. Hi Sarah, I never seem to be able to get an answer from either my doctor or the pharmasist at the store I go to. What I *always* do before taking any prescription medication--find out who makes the med--CVS lists it on the RX label. If it's not there, the pharmacist can tell you. Go to the manufacturer's website or call information to get...
  3. Gosh, I don't know--not familiar with it. I hope this means Tim is feeling better? Thank goodness at least it's non toxic....
  4. It was all a bit top heavy--wasn't it! Even the smokey-eye/red lips were over the top! Ah, the 80's--good times
  5. In case anyone missed it, ABC is repeating it tonight (Friday) at 8 Eastern Time.
  6. Let's just hope it's not "gfp: in the bathroom again"
  7. Thanks for the update, Tanya Continued good wishes to all of you!
  8. Yes--and sometimes if the back was longer, it literally looked like 2 different heads of hair
  9. Turtle, You are so sweet! Glad if I could help I just noticed the "waffle"--hadn't caught that before
  10. I think the worst example of the female mullet was back in the 80's when the top, front and sides would be permed, and the back would be left long and straight
  11. Hi Turtle Betty Crocker makes Potato Buds--I use them to "bread" chicken, pork chops, etc. Nothing else jumps out at me... I love your new picture--nice to see you dancing and having a good time
  12. Unbelieveable You are certainly not ignorant From what I've read here, the blood testing is not as reliable in young children. Is he on the gluten-free diet yet? If it were me, I'd put him on the diet and let those results speak for themselves. I also agree not to put him through the biopsy.
  13. Sorry for all of this, Lister--I'm keeping you in my thoughts!
  14. The best gluten-free hamburger bun I've ever had was from Grandma Ferndons. Not *exactly* like a regular wheat one, but soft, fluffy and delicious. The drawback--$20 shipping But sometimes...
  15. Another healthy shortening--I don't know if it's available there--is Spectrum Organic Shortening. It's made from palm oil and is not hydrogenated. It's what I use
  16. Yep--just the cold, hard facts!
  17. Hi Deb, I think you mean "shortening". It's fat in solid form, as opposed to liquid oil.
  18. Hi Nicole, How do you feel about using a mix? The Gluten Free Pantry's French Bread Mix is super easy to make, and tastes and smells like real bread!
  19. Hi Lisa-- That's a picture of your uncle, right? So sad, someone dying so young... You're in my thoughts--sending a big ol hug up to you
  20. I like her show, "30 Minute Meals", and even her other shows on the FN, although those I haven't seen very often. I don't care for her new show so far--maybe it'll grow on me, or she'll settle into it (and settle down some!)
  21. eKatherine, Could you give me more information on the Japanese potato starch noodle you talked about? Thanks!
  22. Carla-- Bleach is extremely drying to the hair. My stylist told me this when I used to get my hair highlighted. She would use the foil, bleach my dark brown hair until it had no color, and then add an ash blonde color to it. It looked nice--but after too many highlightings, my hair became too light for me. It also was very dry--it's frizzy by nature...
  23. Shows how much I know! So, I guess you're repainting the kitchen?
  24. I agree! After all, *most* of us are not doctors or health professionals. The best we can do is give others the benefit of our experience, or share information. If something dosen't apply to or interest me, I simply skip over it. We're also building a great "library" of information for newbies and everyone to refer back to
  25. I think it looks good--especially the line "the daily life of a coeliac is reduced to an exercise in risk management."
