  1. Hi and welcome After you post a new topic, a moderator has to read it, determine if it's in the correct forum and then pin it. Since we are not always on line, it may take a little while until it's seen. You can always check the "View New Posts" to see your topic before it's pinned. Here is one of your topics-- Open Original Shared Link Hope...
  2. Sorry, I missed that part Ravenwood's suggestion about the B12 was a good one--I would add Vit B6 to that, also. I found them both helpful in the beginning. Hope you find the cause soon!
  3. Tiffany, The plainer of the two breads would be the Sandwich Bread. I used to eat that, and it's very good. The Prairie Bread, as I remember, has seeds and possibly other things mixed in.
  4. Susan, I've not tried them, but a lot of people on the board have reported that the Blue Diamond Thins made them sick. Looking at what you ate yesterday, I would guess that they are the culprit. Hope this passes (sorry) soon! Also, because your period is starting, this may be why the gluten symptoms started sooner--I've always had D aroud the time...
  5. Don't forget that you're going back to school--you don't want to spread yourself too thin!
  6. Or drop gluten-free breadcrumbs so you can find your way out again
  7. Beverly, I'm really worried about you. This has gone on far too long. I know you've had lots of tests and are great about going to the doctor--are you eating/drinking/taking anything new? I'm sure that you've gone over everything with a fine tooth comb, just trying to think out loud here. I think I told you that my husband was dx with Lyme...
  8. Yes. I had this for about a year before I was diagnosed. I had it in my face, left arm, legs and feet. It was worse on the left side of my face. Also, the bottoms of my feet would burn, as would the inside of my mouth. The gluten-free diet has improved these symptoms. The only thing I seem to be left with is a mild numbness in my face, and sometimes...
  9. Jestgar, I'm sorry this happened to you. I would suggest that you send Scott (admin) a PM. If you kept the objectionable PM, you could copy/paste it into your message.
  10. Yes, the day-planner story was great! As was the thread about the wedding. Lynne--writing that post must have exhausted you *almost* as much as the event, itself So happy that the day was wonderful and that everyone had a good time. Gotta love families-- Rinne it is, then! Ryan, How do your wife and kids feel about you being gone for a year...
  11. Hey--Was that Rachel's boss?? Cool! As usual, I go to bed, and everyone comes back on! Mango--Still helping me from "down under" I am very sensitve to tapioca! The chips that I saw in the store were only potatoes, olive oil and salt. I wonder if they are contaminated with tapioca? Sorry you are glutened or processed, but either way, I hope...
  12. Wow. I am so sorry that you and your family got sick. This is shocking--a prestigeous hospital--any hospital, really, ought to be able to serve gluten-free meals and do so correctly. Thanks for the eye-opener. As if being hospitalized wasn't bad enough, we now have one more thing to worry about. Hope you're all doing better
  13. Love ya Rachel--so good to have you back!
  14. I was looking for some new ideas on how to cook my chicken tonight. I came across this site--the recipes look great! Open Original Shared Link
  15. Andrea--It looks perfect to me
  16. Julie--Nice to see you! I agree, anything is worth a try--that's why I share my experiences (strange though they may be). You never know what might strike a chord with someone. Remember with the coconut filter, I first suspected the charcoal, but Andrea found out about the coconut--I never would have known. Thanks for the earlier tip about the...
  17. I like your silliness, too Celia! You sound kind of down--what are you in the dark about?
  18. I had something I wanted to add regarding my diet. I come here and socialize so much, I keep forgetting to say it I figured out that another thing that was triggering my ever present D and cramping was my vitamins. I knew that Centrum had milk ingredients, but really didn't think it was enough to make a difference--wrong. I keep getting steps closer...
  19. Hi Susan--I thought for sure by now you'd be climbing. Sorry the plans got changed Is the painting finished?
  20. This is so true We're definately a unique group Vincent--Thanks a million for the primer on surges! I had always wondered about that stuff--I will be taking your advice and unplugging at the appropriate times from now on. Quiet afternoon I just made a batch of my grain-free chocolate chip cookies. They smell so good
  21. I haven't noticed a difference, either. I've been gluten-free for just over a year. I've been on blood pressure medication for about 8 years. The diet has not changed my bp at all. I still take 2 different medicines for it. I keep hoping, but as of yet, it's not changed. It does stay well controlled with the meds, though.
  22. Hi--here's a list to get you started-- https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-20106435221.05
  23. Hi Cissie--I've missed you! Glad that you got through the storms unscathed. I always turn the computer off, too, during a bad thunderstorm. Is it also necessary to unplug it? I have a surge protector, but I always wonder....It's been so hot this summer and that sparks a lot of thunderstorms.
  24. Bev-- "Town ho" Celia, Sorry you feel bad this morning. Vincent, I actually did notice you were nowhere to be found for a short time, but I figured you were busy working or with family. If you hadn't shown up soon, I'd have sent out the dingos Judy--love it that you're here And I second (or third? ) the safe restaurant in R'ville...
