  1. I am so sorry this happened to you! How awful! I'm so glad you wrote a review...hopefully that saves someone else your pain. We have one gluten free restaurant where I live...started by a mom and daughter. The daughter is gluten intolerant. I love eating there because I know I can order anything and not have to worry. Eating anywhere else makes me...
  2. We've had a week with activities right around dinner...A band concert one night, high school orientation another. I let the kids eat hot dogs for dinner one night. They were super happy. Another night I made chicken sandwiches and last night was chili. Tonight I'm making coconut flour crusted chicken tenders, tossed salad and roasted sweet potatoes.
  3. Grilled rosemary lemon chicken, grilled zucchini, roasted potatoes. Yum! Taking advantage of our nice weather before the snow this weekend!
  4. Ooh...exciting! Let us know when you find out! I'm sure the lucky socks did it!
  5. Lasagna sounds so good Bart! Lucky you to have a friend like that! Tonight will be pork carnitas with cilantro like rice.
  6. You should come to Colorado... so pretty! No egg noodles...I wish! No lingonberry either. But it will be yummy!
  7. We are having a beautiful snowy day...large fluffy snowflakes are falling softly. I love it! Tonight for dinner...Swedish meatballs, noodles, asparagus...
  8. Nothing wrong with a little chocolate! I took my kids to a movie last weekend and brought with me a little bag of Enjoy Life chocolate chips...soo good!
  9. I do the same cristiana...bring a banana or a bag of blueberries with me everywhere. So much safer!
  10. Mycasmom...Yum again! The fudge sounds so good. Chocolate is my favorite food group so I'm partial to that. Laura...I'm sorry to hear of the lupus struggle but it so sweet to hear how your hubby loves you. One of my cousins has lupus and it is such a hard disease. I made spaghetti and meatballs tonight with garlic bread and green beans. Very enjoyable...
  11. That's the one I was thinking of! I made it once before and everyone loved it. Yum!
  12. Good question. I'm interested in this too. My 3 year old loves the quaker chewy chocolate chip bars...but they are not gluten free. I'm going to look for one of the one Laura mentioned at the store. I'd love a recipe too!
  13. Hi Laura! Apparently nothing says love and romance like having a gallbladder out. Lol! I really like the Cornish hen idea. Thanks for the recipe. I'm leaning towards a flour less chocolate cake for dessert because chocolate is my favorite food group. Ha! I hear you on going out to eat. The only place I feel comfortable going is the one gluten...
  14. Hi mycasmom...that sounds like a bad way to spend Valentines!!! I do convert recipes to gluten free all the time...my struggle this year is in just finding inspiration, period. Part of the trouble is that I'm also soy and dairy free... well, dairy super light. So...yeah...ideas, inspiration. I'm hoping something will pop up and make me say, yes, that...
  15. Hey all... I've always made a special Valentine's dinner for my family. I just love celebrating the day with not just my husband but my little loves as well. Last year I had my gallbladder out on February 12th so no special dinner. The year before I made chicken Alfredo with chocolate mousse for dessert. This will be my first gluten free Valentine...
  16. Thanks Nicole...we will see. We've all been sick this week and my head is still so stuffed up. I'm waiting until Monday to start it. I react so strongly to medications and am feeling so cruddy. I don't want anything to make it worse. The plan is to take it once a day. I guess we will have to see how it goes. ((((Hugs)))) on your past year. It sounds...
  17. Oh my gosh...I wish I lived close to you. I would be so excited to go to a dinner party that was all gluten free! Plus all the stuff you make looks delish!
  18. That cheesecake sounds amazing!
  19. Hello...saw the endo. We're adding a tiny T3 to the mix. I reacted so badly to it before. So I'm getting a compounded 100 mcg of T4 with 1 mcg of T3. Retest in 6 weeks. We had a long talk about how I'm feeling, etc. It seems that I need T3 but it went poorly last time so I'm worried. I also have a nasty cold and wasn't at my best for the appointment...
  20. Thanks Gemini...your responses are like a warm hug. They help so much. So ((hugs)) back. I do agree that some of us are harder to treat. Not being a good converter isn't great. We'll see what he comes up with...I will definitely report back!
  21. Aw...thanks so much mycasmommy. We're trying. Your soup sounds yummy!
  22. Everyone in my house has caught whatever nasty cough, cold, fever virus is going around. Ugh! Decided to make some soup for dinner...mini meatball and veggie...With some corn bread to go with. Hopefully some comforting, nourishing food will help us to start getting better.
  23. That makes a lot of sense Gemini...thanks. Totally dreading my appointment tomorrow. But he won't be able to deny that my free t3 is too low now that it is actually out of the normal range. I'm going to show him my sad peeling nails, my dry hair and skin...my cold as ice hands. He told me at the first appointment that he treats to symptoms so all of...
  24. 2 more days until my appointment. My nails are continuing to break and split. I feel like if my TSH were suppressed that my endo would spaz out. What about it scares Dr's if you actually feel good?
