  1. Yep my gums are in recession also, and despite brushing twice a day and using a good mouthwash 3 times a day with flossing and dental gum, I still got cavities. Sadly I have no dental and am on medicaid. I had to get a crown few months back cause the filling fell out and I could not eat any solid foods for a week due to the pain. Ended up having my father...
  2. Every year this just gets worse it seems, my health cost is astounding with the gluten-free diet especially since I can not eat many foods. I tried to make the best of it by treating myself to salmon one of the few meats I can eat in small amounts after finding it on sale. Marinated a 14oz fillet for a hour in orange juice, then drained and coated with Fredrick...
  3. Bit of a recipe from my grandmas kitchen. NOTE be careful with mulling spices alot of them have barley in them, I use Spicely Organics, but I know someone else who has had success using a box of red hots in the top of the urn instead, I sometimes replace some of the water with more apple cider to reduce the needed sugar. This was always a thing for my family...
  4. Great for making huge pots of stews and soups, the flavor really intensifies slow cooking it and meats end up super tender and flavor into the rest of the soup great. You can also to overnight oatmeal/rice porridge in it. I miss making the rice porridge the stuff was great how you could do it, 1;4 ratio of rice to a nut milk or water add some dried/fresh...
  5. I found a anti stress supplement (Liquid Health Stress & Energy) that I take in partial doses through out the day along with magnesium supplements (Calm Vitality, and Doctors Best), seems to help. I also walk a lot, I find pacing or calling a friend and talking out my issues to help. The whole gluten thing drove me nuts and the brain damaged that resulted...
  6. I got some plain Halls and Honey ones last year that did not bother me. Unsure if they are still safe.
  7. Update on this, I did not get the gut pain I normally get, I have had mildly loose stools, slight fog, little bumps on my upper back, and extreme fatigue since then.
  8. Going to say this is likely vise versa, I have Asperger and my symptoms with it are much worse after gluten exposure. The way celiac disease effects my brain with the fog, etc. It becomes much harder to try to act normal, and compromise between my urges, and thought process and what is expected of a normal person. On the magnesium Citrate I use a powdered...
  9. I had this issues for years, mine mostly cleared up after a gluten-free diet. Mine was so bad even a box of exlax would do nothing, only thing that ever got me moving was 2 whole bottles of magnesium citrate laxative. Now days I will admit both magnesium citrate, and magnesium glycinate are part of my daily regime, along with drinking a whole 12-20oz of coffee...
  10. Well I was given a cigar for my birthday, well I gave up smoking years ago but decided oh well. After a few hits I felt my lymph nodes, and a few other early signs and stopped. Did a bit of research and seems wheat based flour is a common glue used on cigars. Hoping the gut issues that happens when consumption occurs will not be present. I have washed my...
  11. Trip went great no issues with food, I even invented a new flavor combination finding making a pesto with diced tomatoes, my Parmesan hemp and garlic seasoning along with crab meat made for a wonderful blend and a topping of sauteed peppers and grilled asparagus.
  12. ............OK.......I got to say sorry but I think you need to move somewhere that actually has good doctors and a healthcare system that can help you. Sounds like everyone in your area is a quack or does not care. That is ridiculous to have to deal with that.
  13. Yeah first few years are rough, took me awhile to get my calorie count, and nutritional balance right. I also got constantly glutened til I gave up eating prepared foods by others outside my house, and MADE my own gluten free kitchen with all dedicated appliances, cookware, and ingredients. Still get issues with random food products getting contaminated at...
  14. There stuff used to be safe......pictsweet should still be safe. Might have to start making my own in vacume steam pouches again.
  15. I have had issues with lactose and whey for over 10 years and nothing helps. Casien does not bother me oddly, came up allergic to whey, and lactose has made me feel sick and throw up. Just changed over to nut and seed milks, found cashew milk to be really creamy along with certain brands of almond milk, and good karma flax milk.
  16. Hate to say it but this keeps popping up in my mind, your homemade sausage might be doing it. If you have used a contaminated spice or ingredient in the grinder, packer, it could be contaminating later batches. I know the old modified meat grinder I use for a seed mill is metal and porous. Would be near impossible to clean out good if it got contaminated...
  17. Time again for my once a year holiday trip to San Antonio for my birthday. Thought i would share how I deal with food and planning for these. I have made my own Birthday Cake a Paleo Cinnamon Cake that I added Cinnamon swirl date paste to make it a giant cinnamon roll. Bringing this along with my own little covered griddle, utensil, 3 cartons of egg...
  18. I drank more miralax the morning of the scope since I did not go the night before with a full double bottle. Still nothing 8 hours later with no food or liquids I went in to get the scope I weighed 128.6lbs. They put me under and when I came out they said there was too much poop in there and they could not do the scope......I went home and feeling really...
  19. In my experience the neurological brain fog and nerve issues come in waves for a week or two even after the gluten exposure. I have a bit of a different issue with carbs in general as they tend to make me bloat, cramp, and gassy. I have found improvements by working with my dietician and eating a diet high in protein, fat, and fiber of mostly Egg whites,...
  20. Well I did nothing but drink juice, broth, magnesium citrate, and 2 containers of miralax yesterday........I have not had a bowl movement since yesterday morning. I am thinking back to the past and I never really had much luck with laxatives when I used to have chronic constipation over 3 years ago. Since then I have maintained a 50-90g of fiber a day intake...
  21. I would say keep eating it at least a bit each day and go see about getting a full celiac panel done and ask about a endoscope and biopsy test.
  22. I have a deep rooted understanding of living with others and that "Oh a little is alright" mind set or "It won't kill you it's just bread". Most people do not understand these things unless they have had to deal with symptoms or it can be put in a perspective they can grasp via phrasing it with something else. One friend I asked how he would like it if I...
  23. Might be a allergy or intolerance to some odd common food. I get mouth sores/blood blisters from eating stuff with corn and a high fever. I also get bloat issues with sugars, starches, quick carbs that lead to stomach and gut pains, bloaty feeling, gas, and sometimes even distends the gut. We all have our unique issues, I am sure some others might give you...
  24. Thanks I think I will be fine, I managed to put on about 2lbs prior, Took 3scoops of protein powder before bed last night + 1 in the middle of the night and spent most of yesterday trying to sit in a chair and do yoga instead of power walking to relax. Took my meds early this morning and will have a hour before my broth/jello breakfast and I am supposed to...
  25. So I have a scope monday and tomorrow is prep day no solids or colored foods. I have jello made with coconut water and chicken stock, I have a bunch of broths ready for me to drink all day, along with the laxative regime I am mixing with tea and coconut water. But I have a question.....Can I drink RAW pasteurized carton egg whites? I do not see myself getting...
