  1. Hey, I think that the neurotransmitter support is helping with sleep, even on the Levaquin still! Perhaps all the new stuff is helping.

    ...

Donna I think your approach is best of one thing at a time. I'm doing all the recommended changes, and then bumping up the doses gradually because otherwise I won't have a chance to test the effectiveness before I leave for China.

Yeah, the neurotransmitter support really did help me with sleep too I think. My doctor (not the one who I saw for the neurotransmitter stuff) just made some adjustments to the quantities I was taking, and I think that helped too.

When do you leave for China?

  2. I talked to my friend's mother last night...my friend has been in the hospital since Monday. They did surgery to put in a metal plate and a couple of screws. Her mom thought she'll have to have those in for at least a year. :( She has to be off her feet for at least 3 weeks, and then, I think, crutches or walker for another month. The pain meds aren't doing much either, so she's in a lot of pain. She may get to go home today. Her mom is going to be staying with her, which is a relief.

So I guess the new stuff I'm taking must really be working on something cuz I'm starting to see things again when I go to the bathroom, lol. Bowels have been very noisy for a couple of days, and have just finally started to calm down.

I started the probiotic last night...so I've started 4 of the 6 things. I'll start one of the gallbladder things tomorrow.

    Sherry,

You can be our ART food testing pioneer! I agree with the importance of finding the underlying cause of it all. Knowing what is bothersome and avoiding it can greatly relieve sypmtoms and discomfort in the meantime.

  3. JANET - OMG. Details later. He does NOT have big pointed ears and a black nose, however he IS working on his second-degree black belt. He IS a computer.....programmer? technician? guy in charge of eveyrthing having to do with computers for tons of people? Information technology? Information services? what in hell. It's all devil-gibberish to me and he shows things to me and I just crack up.......it don't make no sense at all. 'Tis surely the work of the devil, I tell him all the time. COMPUTERS ARE EVIL.

he DID fix my computer and de-bugged it and worked on many things and now....'tis magic.

    Could it be?

    Is it possible?

That someday soon perhaps, our little Susie might grow to love....

    SPREADSHEETS!!!

  4. Note to self:

It is a bad idea to start a full candida diet and quit smoking on the same day.

Yikes!!!! Don't even know what to say about that...just KNOW it's hard!

I don't know much about ART, but doesn't it reflect what's happening NOW? If you're getting worse, then maybe that's what's being reflected? Could it show something different in a couple weeks? Either way, 2 weeks isn't going to make or break your treatment.

Yes to all that. It COULD show something different in two weeks.

  5. Well here's something you haven't heard me say yet...I'm wearing Spring Pink and I think I like it. I bought a really pretty pink glittery lip gloss at Sephora yesterday which is kind of sheer, so I put it over the Spring Pink and it looked pretty darned good.

I've decided to wait on the train case until my refinancing check comes...once I get funded I'll treat myself to the train case.

If u pay the extra money at sephora, thing you would have it now, instead of sitting and checking status all the time llike i will be doing lmao.

So very true...I'm not quite as patient as I may sound, lol.

Donna - Do you still like Waffle Cone? I think I might risk it and order a full size container. Is it very pigmented?

Nah, you're allowed ocassional straying from the cult, but you must always return, lol.

I still love Waffle Cone...it is not highly pigmented...it's very natural looking.

then on friday i will have all my sexy stuff from victorias secret lmao.

Wait, what's this?! Trying to sneak this little tidbit in huh? LMAO  I think you NEGLECTED to mention this order before!!! :P

Everything seems to wash me out initially then some get too dark after a few hours.

I have not tried the buff or olive catagories, so I guess I will try that next.

Hope you find what you need in these categories. Try at least the first 3-4 colors in each category...some on the EM boards say that sometimes the categories don't seem to go in order...I think it was definitely with the olive category and maybe the buff or golden. For instance, I've chosen what I thought was the second lightest shades in those categories, but someone was saying that sometimes the 3rd shade is lighter than the second. Did that make sense?! I'll try to find the thread and post a link.

  6. so what form of gluten would you try? thats what gets me I don't even know what i would have. although i ahve had a really big craving for annies shells and cheese- but then i add in the dairy thing and thats a whole other issue..........but dang it sounds YUMMY!!

Yeah, I think I'd eat 100% Whole Wheat english muffins, lol. Or maybe 100% Whole Wheat toast with cashew butter and a tiny bit of fruit spread. I miss that for breakfast. Or maybe cream of wheat cereal...all breakfast foods I guess. Maybe a sandwich...kind of miss my sandwiches sometimes too. :P Oh, maybe pizza.

  7. Well, I still haven't heard from my friend. I tried calling last night but she didn't pick up. That's not unusual, lol...she doesn't normally answer the phone even in the best circumstances. :P I just really wanted to leave a message. I expect she might need some help because her house is pretty big and lots of steps involved, but her mom will probably come stay with her if that's the case. She lives about 2 hours away from me, so I can't really do a lot from here. :(

Actually coming to that conclusion and acting on it are two different things, however....

Ha, tell me about it!

Donna, I wonder if you could ask your Dr his opinions on these machines for the mold in your condo??

    ...

Was the charcoal not working for you, causing you any adverse symptoms??

    ...

Sounds like you had a really good appt, and I like his approach with you. ;)

You and I are pretty much in the same boat with the baby steps , but I think in the long run it will really pay off.

I've had help air cleaners in my home before...it got so expensive that I stopped using them. The filter for one unit was $180, and I had two units. I just couldn't afford the upkeep anymore. I DO think they helped though. Maybe I'll look into getting smaller units where maybe the filter is either cleanable or just small enough that the expense wouldn't be so much.

The charcoal was working I think...in fact I took one last night in the middle of the night and I actually finally slept better again. Don't know if the charcoal had anything to do with it because I also took more melatonin (that's a long story, lol). I basically just forgot a couple of nights to take it, then just decided maybe I didn't need to any more. I'll probably take it again for a week or two now.

Yeah, I like my doctor's approach. I have been a little anxious to move forward because I was feeling so good, but I also don't want to undo all of that. He said if he does do a challenge or chelation, he'll do what he did with Rachel and start me on a very tiny amount.

Sounds like a good appointment for you today......baby steps are good.

Yeah, I'm finally realizing that they are good, lol.

I swear, I am not sure if this is in my head or not, but I totally feel way more symptomatic since the mold discovery. I am fine away from home. Probably because all that cleaning I did in my bedroom really stirred it up.

This is the first thing my doctors ask me when we talk about mold...whether I feel better away from the house. It may also be that you've always been symptomatic, but now that you KNOW there is mold there, you're associating them more with the mold. (did that make sense?! )

I totally understand the sugar thing! LOL!  I too, can't seem to stay away from the sugar. It's SO addictive!

I told my doctor yesterday that it's what I would imagine drugs would be like...I'm fine if I don't taste it, but once I taste sugar, it's like I'm driven to have more. :P Never taken drugs, so I'm not sure that's all true, but if it's like what I've seen on TV, then it is, lol.

For all of you who do ART, have you found the food testing accurate in terms of what makes you sick and what is okay? Dr. E said a little milk is okay, and butter is fine. My avoids so far are pork, sugar, cornstarch, the "organic" coffee sample I brought from China. Also not so good is banana.

We didn't test foods in my two sessions...all my food testing was done with BioSET. But so far everything that has been tested in both ART and BioSET has been right on. I think I'd even trust ART more than BioSET in that regard though. ART really identifies what is stressing your body at the moment, so I think I'd trust that to be very accurate.

It's hard to be able to trust something so much especially when it's not a conventional form of testing. ;)

Yep, no one was more skeptical than me, but they've been so accurate for me that I can't deny it any more, lol.

hey just on a random note i am uping my MSM and had done some research and found a ton of good info but here is some that i thought was particularly interesting and might be helpful to some of you.

    Thanks for the info Mia!

Me either .... but I'm still not eating that much of it, LOL. ANY sugar seems like a lot to me. I'm having a couple treats per week, and I'm certainly not racheling them!

I need to get to this point, lol.

  8. Dr. appt. went well. Still no chelation, but perhaps in the spring we'll do a small tiny wee little bit of a challenge just to see what's there.

I gave him a copy of my latest neurotransmitter stuff (he hadn't seen it yet), and he was kind of bummed that my adrenals are still fatigued. He REALLY wants me to do stuff to help the adrenals, so that means avoiding stress, NOT EATING SUGAR  , avoiding eating stuff I'm intolerant or reactive to (did I mention he wants me to NOT EAT SUGAR  ). So I guess I HAVE TO NOT EAT SUGAR. :P

Oh and the other interesting thing he said while looking over my neurotransmitter results was that one of them (sorry, I forget which one) was a good indicator of the level of toxicity in the brain. Apparently mine is toxic. The level was 17 on my last test and 47ish on this one...wish I could remember which thing it was, but whatever it is he was dismayed that it had more than doubled (or was that for something else, lol--I REALLY need to take a tape recorder). :( It's probably because of all the supplementation, so he wants me to adjust some of the neurotransmitter stuff. Fortunately for me, he is familiar with this lab and the supplements I'm taking, so I feel comfortable following his recommendations.

My blood pressure has dropped since last time I went in...last time it was pretty normal, today slightly low again at 106/64.

He was encouraged that I feel around 70% of normal, but he ABSOLUTELY does NOT want me to paint my condo myself, lol. He also wants me to wait until the weather is warm enough to air the place out properly...he's afraid the fumes will overwhelm me.

He wants me to be very careful with detox so as to not overdo and overwhelm my system, and wants me to continue with natural supplementation rather than any kind of medications or forced detox.

He also wants me to take baby steps with everything. I guess I haven't progressed to the child sized steps yet, lol. When I start taking something new, he wants me to start with a minimal dosage and work up to whatever the recommended dosage is...that kind of thing.

So, I'm pleased with this appointment. Somewhere earlier today I had made up my mind that I didn't want to do chelation yet (maybe because I was feeling kind of yucky today, lol), so I'm happy with waiting for now.

Oh my! I hope your friend is okay! That sounds terribly painful!

Well, I think it's bad. She definitely broke her ankle...I know that much for sure. One of the others that she emailed, sent me some updates. She went to the emergency room and they confirmed the ankle is broken. I still haven't talked to her...do they keep people in the hospital overnight for broken ankles, lol?

For you non-Lymies, he did a coffee enema and felt it did a lot! :P He still has his fever, but he said that it did seem to make a big difference in the way he felt.

LALALALALALALALALALALA, I'm not listening  LALALALALALALALALA

Seriously though, hope you both feel better soon, and the soup sounds REALLY good right now. My system has been off all day too, lol.

does anyone experience hurtful hands especially in the morning and sweaty palms. what could this be? I have been feeling more flu like with chills and nausea lately too. Could it be something I am taking, part of detox, or eating or all of the above?

My hands have pain but not necessarily just in the morning...can be anytime. THe flu like thing could be something you're taking or detox or you really could have a bug.

  9. im kind of with you. I wore the MultiTasking Neutral on Sunday and thought it was good, but today I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and it seemed pinky.

Yes, without any makeup at all my face is much pinker than my neck. :(

Thanks for posting, Deb. That's interesting info. I wish I could find some sort of expert who could just tell me what I am! It would be useful to know.

Yeah...wish I could afford to go to this guy who wrote the book, lol.

I just got an email that my train kit shipped, yayyyy. But its not on the ups website yet so i dont know even know were its coming from or when i will get it lol

Yay...I went to Sephora today to look at their train case. They basically had just one, but it came in different colors. It's nice...probably bigger than the one you ordered and it doesn't have the drawers. I think the drawers are what I like most about the one you ordered, lol. BUT, the sephora one has removable/adjustable dividers, which is VERY nice, lol. The Sephora case is hugely expensive too--$98!! So undecided, lol. Do I spend the $60 to order the one like you did, maybe outgrowing it soon, or should I just spend lotza bucks and get the bigger case which can be configured how I need it.

I think I'll think on this a week or so. :P

  10. I just got home from some errands and a little shopping and got an email for help from my good friend (the one I travel with all the time). She thinks she broke her ankle!! :o She couldn't reach the phone to call her friend that lives close by, so she sent emails to me and a couple of other friends (guess she was close to the computer). Fortunately one of them was able to call the friend who went over. The paramedics were there from the last email that was sent at 10:15 or so. I'll call her in a bit...I figure she's in a lot of pain now, or at the hospital getting it set or at the very least, x-rays.

She's going on a cruise with her mother the first of March...hope she's okay to do that.

I know this sounds stupid, but I haven't been able to wake up in the middle of the night to take Questran. I need to take it, but I CAN'T wake up, lol.;) I told my friend and she told me to quit complaining because about 2 months ago I was moaning that I couldn't stay asleep.  LOL!

I WISH that was my problem, lol. I have been sleeping MUCH better the last month or so, but I still wake up in the middle of the night. I have been going back to sleep quickly though. The last two nights have been AWFUL though, lol. Awake a lot and for long periods of time...I'd have PLENTY of time to take meds...probably a couple.

  11. Aw Andrea, sorry the little ones are not well! Hope that clears up soon!

Donna- ok when you're ready I'm ready just let me know that way if it blows up in our faces we will at least have someone to comeserate with!!

    You're on sister! :P

Donna, my Cowden protocol instructions say to take it with Cumanda, parsley and trace minerals, so I think it's okay to take it with other stuff.

Oh great, thanks...that makes things MUCH easier, lol! I took it before bed last night...about 45 minutes away from my other evening meds. Hum, I don't have trace minerals...I have the Cumanda and parsley. Do you refrigerate your open bottles? I haven't been but started thinking I should (who knows why, lol).
