  1. A Donna siting, LOL! Wish we'd hear from Julie. Its been quite a while, and I wonder if she is doing ok.

LOL! I've mostly been just reading along. I'm not posting a lot these days...everything is kind of on hold right now...just doing lots of research on the upcoming surgery. Worrying about my CT scan on Wednesday is keeping me busy right now, lol. I have to drink the barium stuff tomorrow night, then more on Wednesday PLUS get an IV of dye. I can't imagine my body will like any of that.

Hope they don't put my newly pinned foot in the scanner, lol.

Hoping those of you in pain and/or feeling bad will feel better soon!

  2. My question, did Bioset truly work for any of you in eliminating food allergies or allergies to food additives?

Did any of you verify that it worked by retaking IgE or IgG or skin tests?

I had BioSET done at the same location. I think it did help, but probably moreso in identifying what I should stay away from than actually desensitizing me. I do think it helped desensitize a little, but I think avoiding helped more. That allowed my gut to heal a little more. I've been adding a few things in a little at a time and it seems so have worked. I did not confirm with skin testing though. They give you a "plan" to reintroduce foods and they can always retreat if necessary.

I agree with Carla about the sugar...I seem to be less tolerant to it than ever. :(

I have oral glutathione, too, do you think taking more of this would be bad or good? I know you guys aren't docs, but I just wonder what your instincts tell you ......

You know, for me personally, more seems better. I don't even measure it anymore...I just pour whatever amount comes out. The original amount they wanted me to take was 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon twice a day. I think I take more than that, lol.

I talked with Dr. S (treating me for lyme and the one who wants me to take it) about it and told him that I wasn't measuring anymore, and he was absolutely fine with that, and in fact said he does the same thing. I've had it muscle tested and tested at BioSET though and it tested fine, so I was more inclined to get loose with it, lol.

  3. Thanks for the info...not long after my post, I did indeed stop my shots. It's been over a year now and I am so glad I stopped them. I was truly reacting every time I got them, since stopping I haven't had any problems with congestion or allergies.

  4. I don't blame you one bit. There's got to be a better area to put an IV......like your hand? I don't understand why it has to be in the neck. Talk about a pain in the neck!

I didn't catch the why of it all, lol, but I did a search today, and from what I've been reading, it's probably because there'll already be one in my hand, lol. :o

  5. I am totally freaking out about the IV in the neck, lol. I can't get past that!

:o Donna you have/are going through a lot!!! This is scary, but glad you like the surgeon. I find surgeons can be very offhand and not personable at all.

I've been so lucky with all my surgeons, lol. The doctors in this medical group have all been very personable.

  6. Andrea, I sent you an email.

I really liked the surgeon. He made me feel much better.

The surgery is going to be major surgery (he called it "top of the line" LOL), but still not the really scarey one unless he gets in there and can't get the tumor out for some reason. They'll definitely have to reroute the pancreatic and bile ducts, and maybe some of my intestine (just to help with digestion if the swelling is too bad at the surgical site). In any case the incision is big, from chest to abdomen. :( He said something about putting the IV in my NECK!!! That scares me more than the surgery, lol.

The scarey version involves taking out a portion of the pancreas and a bunch of other stuff you'd generally not want done, lol, so I hope that isn't necessary.

I had some blood work and an EKG done today so they have a baseline to compare with after the surgery, and I have to have a CT scan done on the 24th. That'll help him know more about what's going on in there.

He is going to bring my case up before the "Tumor Board"...a bunch of doctor's sit around and talk about people with tumors, lol. They talk about whether surgery is necessary, etc. And, he'll be out of town for a couple of weeks in October, so it definitely won't be scheduled until around the end of October.

So I'll see him again on October 3 to go over all the labs and find out what the Tumor Board said. We'll go forward from that point with preauthorizations and scheduling, etc. assuming the board says okay, lol.

  7. I really feel for those of you who have mold exposure .... it's way worse than I thought!

    Yeah, it sucks!

Hubby asked to be on vacation-leave of absence this week. He said itis time that i detox all this mold out of me and fight to get my health back. I have become very bad the last week or so. almost in a very dark spot and i need to get out of it, for me and for my kids. So starting sunday, I will be feeling terrible, so if i disappear, dont worry to much lol

Yeah, I'm glad you're going to get rid of it and that you'll have help, lol.

Paula, be sure you have lots of chlorella on hand.

Also, pectin is supposed to be good to absorb toxins.

Yes, I used both chlorella and pectin...I much prefer both of these to charcoal. The pectin (Modified Citrus Pectin) was a powder that I got from my doctor's office originally, then found it cheaper on Amazon.
