  1. Shannon, FUN order!

    So here's what I think of the products

    Lips:

    Cherry Fizz -- Like this one the best of all the glosses

    Spring Pink -- too light for my complexion apparently, I may try it one more time with some clear gloss over it to see if that helps

    Eyes:

    Starry Eyed -- LOVE this!

    In The Garden -- Pretty good, like it too

    Cherry Fizz -- VERY nice and also looks good as a blush

    Smokey Eyeliner --LOVE this too!

    Face:

    Nick Nack -- almost tied for my most favorite color blush...it's just slightly below Pink Ribbon, but only slightly

    Best Friends -- haven't tried yet

    Text Message -- haven't tried yet

    Accessories:

    oval concealer brush -- Haven't tried this yet

    new flat top brush -- Not tried yet

    Foundation:

    multi-tasking neutral and fair in original glow -- I've got it in Matte and like it very much.

    Concealer:

    Sunlight Color Corrector -- LOVE this...my new best friend, lol. Really takes the dark circles away for me.

    Finishing Powder:

    Finishing Dust -- haven't tried this yet, but I have a finishing powder and like it very much

  2. Well, Donna, I'm sorry, but I have to agree with your doctor ... no sense using a bandaide if the source is still there! Get rid of the mold, then use the Cholestyramine. :) Have you made any choir decisions? Maybe it's time to take them up on their offer.

    No choir decisions yet...I'm much happier with recent developments there, but still not certain as to a permanent solution. I still haven't felt right about seeking the church's help, but I did call this morning for info on refinancing my condo.

  3. Well, I THINK I know what caused the skin burning... I think it's a combo of two things...mold and onions. :P It's been raining nearly every day for a few weeks now (we had a couple of dry days here and there, but mostly raining) and someone last night at choir mentioned that she was having problems because of the dampness and mold. DOH! :lol: But, it's been raining for weeks now, and I haven't had the skin burning...BUT the night before I had a bunch of onions. I don't normally eat onions and when I do it's only just a little bit, but I had quite a bit. I also had a lot last night, so I'll see what happens today. I haven't noticed the burning yet, but yesterday it happened towards the middle of the day.

    You may want to try lymelog. It's online and it's great! I try to go on every day and log my symptoms. It graphs things for you too! I want to print out my graph and bring it to my LLMD appt. It may be interesting for them to see. Just a thought.

    Thanks!!!! I've never heard of lymelog...I'll go check that out when I'm done here.

    Donna, love your new pic. :)

    Thanks!

    Donna, sorry to hear this and hope it is much better very soon.

    Thanks!

    I had another jolt yesterday...some narrowed angles in my eyes...not serious at this point but if this worsens it is a form of glaucoma. I have a very strong history of glaucoma in my family, 4 generations of females. :huh:

    Yikes, scarey! Glad you are feeling better.

    I am having a major issue....my leg/disc that I was hospitalized for in last June....it's acting up! I can't walk! Oh NO!!!! :(

    Yikes for you too!!!

    Donna, I almost forgot. My pectin capsules were $76. :blink: So I think I better look for a cheaper source if possible. The good news is that I am only taking 3 daily, so 270 will last for 3 months. And definitely the capsules are much better for me especially with my travel schedule. The powders are such a pain.

    THe powder is DEFINITELY NOT convenient, lol. Very hard to travel with that, so I generally don't, lol.

    Has anyone tried or looked into therapeutic fasting? (Water only, not juice fasting)

    I have fasted (water only) for two days, but it was for religous reasons. I have to say that I've tried it a couple of times since then (not for religous reasons) and couldn't do it...it was really hard, and I definitely have to agree with what others said about the health issue...I think it might do more harm for me now than good. But I think she is generally healthy outside of the mold issue though, right? Cholestryramine might be a good option, as Carla suggested--MY doctor WON'T give it to me though...he wants me to fix my mold situation. :(

  4. Okay, today's new product: Eyebrow color. I ordered two, a darker and a lighter brown...I'm wearing the lighter brown. I originally ordered it thinking it would be a good eyeliner or smokey brown shadow, but I'm wearing it as it's intended too, lol. So I've got it on my eyebrows and on as a smokey liner. Looks great both ways. The color is Medium Brown I think. I can't imagine what the darker one will look like...the medium is pretty dark. :P I think I might also now order a lighter one as well.

    Also have finishing POWDER :lol: all over my face today as a primer and also as a finishing powder. :P

    Sooo...I think Donna is using Natural Reflections finishing powder????

    Thus the confusion, I thought she was talking about Finishing Dust, she thought I understood she was referring to her Natural Reflections Finishing Powder. I just assumed anything called Finishing was the Finishing Dust

    It's all very confusing, French, oui, de ja vous

    Yes, Natural Reflections Finishing Powder, in the finishing powder section, lol. :lol: It's right next to the Finishing DUST. :lol:

    So I got a mini kit and a sample kit:

    Sun-kissed fair foundation, two small and one sample

    two other lighter foundation samples

    Splendid and Morning Cup blushes

    Cherry Fizz lip gloss

    Good China and Cool Breeze eye color

    I am still playing with the colors, so look forward to getting all of these.

    Fun order...I'm still playing with colors too!

    I love Morning Cup. I wear it as blush and eyeshadow.

    Great, ANOTHER blush to try! :lol:

    My EM came yesterday! I got Fairly LIght foundation, All Smiles blush, and Cool Pink finishing powder. Didn't order any eye shadow b/c my husband has started questioning me about all the shadows I already have and how am I ever gonna use them up! Will let you know how I like it! ;)

    Yay!!! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

  5. Hey Lisa...nice to "see" you, lol.

    Have you done anything different? Do you think there is a timeline connection......like every month, every 2 months....that type of thing.

    Can't think of anything I've done differently...I guess I need a better system of journaling this stuff. Maybe I'll need to get a really big calendar, lol. I try to journal everyday, but the space isn't very big on my page, lol.

    Can you take a detox bath when you get home?

    Thanks, nope, won't have time today...I have a hair appointment after work, then have to rush home and eat really quickly, then go out for choir practice. If we can get out of choir early, I might be able to take a quick 10 minute one maybe.

  6. It is Finishing Dust, I have this also (the equivalent to BE Mineral Veil).

    I thought you were talking about the Silk Dust, but I guess that was Mango and Jess??

    Unless there is a Finishing Powder in a face color/blush or color corrector/concealer??

    Well, it's in the Finishing Powder section, but it doesn't say it's a dust...I have Natural Reflection Fair...don't really know if it's a dust or a powder, lol, but since some of the others say "dust" I figured this was a "powder", lol. :lol:

    Now, I'm confused too. :lol:

    :lol: (Pssst, yeah, I was planning to get way over $35 anyway :P )

  7. Yay RPM....sounds promising!!!!

    Everyone,

    I am having some sort of flare in symptoms today...not sure why exactly, but my skin feels like I have a really bad sunburn all over. Clothing touching my skin is painful. No redness or rash or any marking, just a feeling like a bad sunburn. Haven't had it this bad in a few months (except for a really mild instance a few weeks ago).

  8. I'm debating whether or not I should order.....I'm not sure if I am interested in all the freebies for this special and is a 5% discount really worth it? What if the next special contains free brushes???

    Yeah, I figured if it's anything like it's been the next offer won't go up for a couple of weeks. By then I'll have a bunch more stuff I want anyway. I'm getting to the point where I'll be wanting to order some full sizes of my favorites, plus the brushes I want but don't have yet. And, I figure 5% is better than nothing, since a day or so ago, I was going to order anyway. :P

    It sounds like Silk Dust is good stuff, an excellent primer, keeping the minerals in place and set, controls oil....

    Am I right?

    Well, I don't have the silk dust yet, but am ordering it...or did I order it...or is that the one in my wish list kit...I'm so confused. :lol: I have the finishing powder (I keep calling it dust, it's powder though).

    Wow, great information. I tried the Tinted Silk Dust under my foundation today and it really does look great! Maybe it will work under my eye shadow and help it last longer?

    Seems to really work on the eye. My left eye STILL has NO creasing (9 hours later)...the right eye is all splotchy, lol. I have very oily eyelids, so creasing is a problem with almost everything and every line of products, so for the left eye to not be creased is something. :P

    So i just wanted to let everyone know I GOT MY STUFF TODAY!!!! it was there waiting for me when i got home on lunch!! so I will let you all know what i will be wearing tomorrow, when i get to work!!! now if only the other w-2 would come in...lol

    Yay!!! Can't wait to hear all about it.

  9. Thanks for posting the results of your experiment, Donna. Do we get a flow chart with that? :lol:

    ...

    So after this, you will own every single eye shadow right? :lol::lol:

    Started said flow chart, but not finished. :P

    Not quite ALL the eyeshadows YET. If you can believe it, there are still 13 (not counting the brow colors I haven't orderd yet, which colors I will never order, lol) more to try after this. :P

    I think I can wait on the rest though...maybe order a sample here or there with each order from now on, lol.

  10. Little chink in the wish list armor, lol. I tried to order the stuff in my regular cart, and pressed checkout...it kept taking me to my wishlist cart wanting me to finish picking my stuff...I couldn't take the pressure so I had to delete the wishlist kit. :lol: Now, I'll have to reload that later... {{sigh}}

    But those little ladies watching the big screen are STILL FAST...few seconds after I submitted my order it was packed. :P

    ~~~
    5.5 hours into my experiment and these are my findings thus far:
    Left eye (said eye being the one with the "primer"), still looks exactly like it did when I put everything on.
    Right eye (said eye being the one withOUT the "primer"), is creasing at the crease, lol!! Said right eye also feels oilier than said left eye. :lol: (Hey, I hang out with attorney type folks all day)
    Left side of face MAY be slightly less shiney than the right side (said right side being without "primer"), but there is not much difference...now that may be because I didn't really put much on the left side...I put only whatever was left on my brush after putting it on my eye, lol.
    What does it all mean? Finishing powder as primer seems to work. :lol:
  11. Does anyone else's LLMD charge by the *minute*? UGH!
    Well, not by the minute, but he ain't cheap, lol. He's cheaper than MOST LLMDs though so I can't really complain too much about that. If I saw one of the other more well known LLMDs in his office I'd be paying a WHOLE lot more.
    And, fortunately my insurance covers 70% of most of his charges, so I eventually get reimbursed. Although...my insurance company still has a charge pending from NOVEMBER. Guess they're not going to pay that one, lol.
  12. So, after reading Joni's post, I went over to PLAY with the wish list thing, lol. I tried putting one of the kits in there, but it didn't work...I think it was the personal mini kit, but I put two other kits (full sized products) in there and it worked. So I've got the 6-piece full size kit going in there now, lol. I have just two more products to add, but I can't decided...
    The pressure is getting to me... :lol:
    Ack, what shall I choose! :P
  13. Forgot to mention...does anyone else notice that different colors, as in blush or eye shadow look different with different foundations?
    Maybe this just applies to me since I have four different colors of foundation that look good on me and that I use regularly, but I noticed today that Favorite Hoodie, which I loved last time I used it, didn't look quite as nice today, and the only thing I can think of that is different is the color of foundation I was wearing...well that and the fact that I didn't get any sleep last night and my body is probably spewing toxins as we speak. :P So I'm thinking I need to revisit all the colors I haven't been gaga over and see if they look better with the other foundations, lol.
  14. Ah, poopies....now I want SILK DUST (and the pure silk powder sounds really good). :lol: j
    Those were the days....70 pages ago...when we were all capable of ordering only $3.97 worth of make-up from EM..... LOL
    Ah the good ole day. :lol: Day = not a typo... :lol: It lasted only 1 day for me. :P
    I am a newbie, and still not capable of a little order...its going to be hard when i do my sisters samples, cuz i am going to want to get stuff for myself too....
    Yep, from day 2 onward, lol.
    Love it. dust it on lightly mixed with mint (mixed together in the lid) or just by itself. It seems to make the next layer of foundation soooooo much nicer
    Must try this...when I get it that is.
    Gawd--you already answered my stupid question! I need to read more carefully :ph34r:
    OMGosh Patti, you are seriously cracking me up today, lol! I'm going along minding my own business happily reading and then POW you hit us with something like this. :P
    ooooh ooooh I know the answer! :D
    ...
    ....um what was the question again, and what the heck am I talking about? :blink::lol:
    Our wise cult-thread founder has spoken. :P
    Thanks for the explanation, Mango. I think I get the difference--I have Mineral Veil, and to tell you the truth, I'm not that thrilled with it. It always "showed" on my skin, and I thought the whole idea of it was to just give a finished look--not have a presence itself.
    Oh, same for me...the mineral veil ALWAYS showed on me...I hardly ever used it, but I LOVED the brush I got with it, lol.
  15. Oh No . . . Now you've done it . . . that will surely keep Susie away (some sort of spreadsheet aversion, intolerance, or auto-immune disease or something like that)!!!
    Ah yes...the spreadsheet aversion goes way back to the beginning of the OMG thread. But, these are FUN spreadsheets, reall.
    are things funnier due to my cough syrup?
    Must be. :lol:
    ....Ahhhhh....but does she have a flowchart?....
    She will by tomorrow at this time! :lol: With pictures and bright colors and everything.
  16. :lol:
    Okay, so the very first order I placed back on December 4, never shipped. That was because I sent a check...I didn't know they didn't accept checks anymore, but it was an option, so I chose it. Well, AFTER I sent the check in, I saw on another place on the website that they don't accept checks anymore. I figured they'd destroy the check or return it or something.
    It just cleared my bank. I mean it just cleared, lol. I wonder if that means they'll ship that order soon. :lol: I think I've already ordered more of what was in that first order anyway. :P
  17. Yep, that was you, Donna. In the email it says that Dee Cee labs is the same as the Econugenics...
    Thanks for the info, I'll check into it.
    Donna, my bottle does say Pectisol, but is capsules instead of powder. The brand is EcoNugenics. Seems like the price was $35 but I am not sure. 270 capsules.
    I think the DC labs uses the Econugenics Pectasol...there's a trademark mention on the DC container saying that Pectasol is a registered trademark of Econugenics.
    The capsules sound convenient--not sure cost wise since the jar I have is loose powder...but, I haven't ordered any of the EcoNugenics brand. I know when I was searching online for Pectasol, I couldn't find a lot of sources other than EcoNugenics and DeeCee labs. Probably because EcoNugenics owns the mark, lol.
    I just did a search at amazon and EcoNugenics came up a lot.
