My arm didnt get sore at all but then again I'm very physical at work....I use my arms everyday and do alot of lifting. I think thats why I didnt notice.
I'm pretty strong for my size anyway. I used to always ask big guys if they wanna arm wrestle me.
Just the other day at work the big freezer door in the backroom was jammed and a couple people were both trying to pull on it and get it open. I walked by and one of them asked me if I could open it. The other one (my boss) laughed and said "Oh yeah...like her and her 90 lbs. are really gonna do it"
So yeah...I walked over there and I unjammed the door on my second try.
Then my boss apologized.
I USED to be strong...I lost a lot of strength in the last year...my arms are my weakest part and my legs are the fattiest.
Yeah...deep down I agree with it too. But OMG...I just LOVE milk!!Its harder for me than gluten for sure.
I tested badly for dairy products across the board in all the BioSET testing in every panel. I remember doing the Autism/ADD panel and they had casein in there....again I did badly. I thought it was weird that they didnt have gluten in that panel as well.
They did have metals and all the food dyes, preservatives, stuff like that.
Oh, so much ditto on this post.
I've always said the dairy was harder to give up than gluten.
A triple c.e.R.k. ????????Wow!!!
You two might meet up before the 10th, but how about we all meet somewhere after work on that Fri the 10th?
Donna, if you can't on 10th, I'm in town thru Tues the 14th.
I'll PM.
Yep, pretty sure I'll be okay for the 10th...I rarely plan stuff on weeknights, so it's not a question of having a previous engagement.
More like if I have enough energy...but, I figure I can at least stay for a little while.

I think overall i could probably be ok but it is so hard emotionally to be there - every year i say ok this is the last year it will be this bad and it just seems to get worse. I feel like Emotionally it might be really hard on me.
Yeah, that's the hard one. I think I do not have that emotional connection to any of the places I go to. I can really understand why that would be hard and maybe not such a good idea anyway. It might be much better to avoid the heavy emotional thing.
I'm just so sorry that any of us has to think about this, but especially you!
Well, I think in your case, that makes sense because you're doing other things to detox. Maybe like a cumulitive effect?I have a whole bottle of Dead Sea Bath Salts--and I'm afraid to use them
After reading your account, I am definately limiting my bath to 10 minutes. When I take it.
Ha, well, I certainly don't have any scientific basis for that, but I just know that the couple of times I stayed in for 15 minutes I was very weak and very drained...started even to feel a bit lightheaded.
Anyone else have any suggestions for buying chlorella at a store bought place? We have a pharmacy here called Pharmaca, which is kinda as Whole Foods is to Safeway, Pharmaca is to Walgreens. I have found some brands there that are only carried by my health care practitioners, like Pure Encapsulations. My local one is a bit smaller, so I might have to go to the bigger Pharmaca downtown to find more brands of chlorella. I'm just not sure if it matters all that much which brand you buy. I know with some supplements it does, but not with others.I think it might matter but I can't remember why.
Hate my stupid killed lymie brain cells.
Sun Chlorella and Yaema (or something like that) seem to stick in my mind, but I can't say for sure that those are the best. I know I've seen them both in WF, but there was some reason I didn't get them (as in I looked at the label and for some reason decided not to). I do know I need to get a local supply somewhere other than Anna's because she runs out frequently.
He was NOT able to find Lyme....nor was he able to find any co-infections. He said he was getting some very slight indication that it might be there but then it would be gone....like it was really weak.We talked a little about this yesterday too...he said that's when Amy told him a few other ways to test, so that's what he used on me when I saw him.
So, thank you!
Donna....he dosed me at 35 drops for each!!35!!! Wow, I'm astounded...dumbfounded even... I can hardly even imagine, lol.
Whats interesting to me about this is that yeah....the Dr. tested the remedies against ALL of my infections at once. He wasnt just looking at Lyme and then finding what works...he wasnt picking out any one infection and trying to find what remedy tests best for that infection.Scott did something like this, although I don't know if he tried all the infections at one time...he tried the combo of my "core" stuff against all the stuff he found and all of it helped.
The Cumanda and the Banderol didn't test well at first, then Russ (his friend) said but she isn't going to take them together, so once split up each one worked well with all the other stuff against all my infections.
Pretty fascinating stuff if you ask me. I want to take more of these, but guess I'll listen to Anna.
No more whey protein!I was going to ask about the goat whey for you...I see a lot of hemp stuff now at WF and have been wondering about it. So you actually have seeds? Do they have to be ground up?

Oh and about the Epsom Salt baths...I'm wondering if limiting the time in the bath would help. I can rarely stay in longer than 10 minutes...after that I seem to feel really drained...I don't know, just a thought that came to me. Since it's detox, I'm wondering if limiting the time, like for instance Rachel had to limit her sauna time, would be beneficial...maybe slowly working up to longer times, or if it just doesn't work that way with Epsom since it's a mineral (or whatever
).

So here is where i need your opinions next weekend is this annual family vacation we take its just 4 days and we drive so no flying but for me even though there is no flying (which kills me) but anytime i go away even without flying my bathroom suffers- as in i don't go. SO i decided I just did not want to go- i know this will mar the trip for everyone else I only told my dad and he already was talking about not going for the whole time so he woulden't be leaving me alone. I don't want to ruin everyones trip and Yes of course i want to go.
On top of the bathroom, there is the issue of food. Iw ill ahve to pack everything and basically be cooking out of my hotel room- not fun!!! I ahve had to do this the last few years we went on this trip but it is always stressful figuring out what to bring (i don't have a full kitchen which i need for alot of the stuff i make)
So there is the bathroom, the stress of the food, and just the idea of possibly causing a set back which i really cannpt afford right now. But I also feel so frustrated becasue i think i deserve a vacation and to spend time with my niece and nephew (whcich would be good for my mental health they are amazing) . Also i live in the city- hello polution- car fumes , flying toxins ,dirty air, etc. And i would be going up to the mountains- FResh air!!!!!!!(that could really help me.
AHHHHHHH......I don't know what to do and i need to decide becasue or else they have to cancel my room and stuff.
Well, I know for me, I had to weigh the negatives against the positives for my upcoming trip. Traveling always does change my bathroom habits, but fortunately for me, the D always comes back (who'd a thought I'd say something like that
), so I don't have to worry much about that...I DO usually miss a day or two though.
This time I think I plan on taking a little cooler and packing it in my checked luggage. I'm going to put in the organic turkey slices I buy at WFs, maybe some hard boiled eggs and maybe some other stuff I make up before hand. We have a very short flight since we cruise out of LA, so I'm thinking the cooler will keep stuff cool until I get it to the room. The staterooms have little refrigerators so once I get there I'll be set. I won't need to heat up any of it. I'm constantly hungry and by bringing my own stuff I won't have to rely on the buffet which is ALWAYS a gamble.
Now about the setback. I know that I got REALLY sick after my trip in December...started getting really worn out while ON the trip, and could barely function in Disneyworld, but had a great time anyway...but got really sick when I got back. Missed a whole week of work... Still, I AM glad I went. I'm not sure how much of that was a permanent setback though.
I guess I'm not gonna be much help. I can see it both ways. I hate it when people try and encourage me to do things I can't handle, so I can't just say "go for it".Aw Patti, I'm not Mia, but you're always a help no matter what you say!
I might look into adding some other things like chlorella or epsom salt in the shower... a couple other things I'm forgetting too... I read mixed things about people trying the epsom salt baths as it seems to leave some people very achy or tired, possibly from drawing out/stirring up too many toxins when their bodies aren't ready for it... the rest of the detox things I'm considering and have already implemented seem much more benign across the board so I might leave the epsom salt on the backburner for now...and last but not least, it looks like I'll be probably be joining you nutsos (said with nothing but affection of course
) in getting some type of muscle testing done... not ART, bioset, or NAET or anything I've heard of in this area... but it seems to involve some type of biofeedback testing and computer integrated component from talking with my LLMD and reading a little info about it...
...
that about sums it up for now, I'll probably add some other stuff later... oh, and of all the things I've seen suggested and people try in this thread, bouncing on a trampoline might just take the cake for things I'd never guess would have been suggested to help detoxify... not that girls bouncing on a trampoline is a bad thing of course... but I'm gonna stop before I get myself in trouble on this one...
Wow, sorry for your step backwards!
I was a true skeptic before having gone through any of this alternative stuff...so far everything has been right on...I was just talking to Scott about that yesterday. He said even HE was a skeptic at first.
And re the trampoline ...
... Yes, I've just heard that bouncing stimulates the lymph system to drain...
It seems to be working well for me.
They're basically used for making suds....a foaming agent.....cuz we're a nation thats addicted to suds. We needs suds or we think we're not getting clean.Its soooo true too!! When I use the chemical free stuff...there is no suds...and I'm using like half a bottle cuz I dont feel like its doing anything!
...
OMG....I'm gluten free, dairy free, grain free, sugar free, soy free, etc, etc.......and NOW I have to be SUDS-FREE too!!!
Okay, I had some shampoo (California Baby I think) which hardly suds up at all, so I stopped buying it, lol. I use Fructis which suds like crazy!
I use castile soap to wash my hands and to bathe, but it has suds to.
With ART I have never had my own arm tested. When Scott tested me he had someone assisting him. That person had one hand on my body at all times and HIS arm was tested...Scott was testing his arm to get the response from my autonomic nervous system.Oddly, Scott and I talked about this yesterday. I was telling him that when her first tested me I was a bit skeptical because he found lyme when Anna didn't, and that he found exactly the same co-infections that he had...so I was thinking he must have picked up some of his energy. (WE had been discussing some of the threads on LymeNet about the alternative testing haters over there.) Anway, he said that's the reason why they have the neutral person between. The neutral person touches me, then Scott tests the neutral persons arm, so that takes out the possibility of picking up his own stuff.
Some people on LN were saying that he could guess from my supplements and initial paperwork what my issues probably were, and he said that's why he stopped checking the supplements first. In my case he didn't look at them until AFTER he had tested me for stuff.
Some people on LN were saying that my own beliefs about what I have could affect the outcome, but when I went to see him (and I told him this yesterday) I did NOT believe I had lyme, so that can't be true either, and even after he told me I did have it, I didn't believe it until I had the bloodwork done.
Ok Donna. This is the second post on page 1399. I quoted the whole thing so you can pick what you want to search on. It seemed to have enough choices.....the starbucks drink or the stress stuff.Thank you!
I think know to get around this by fiddling w/ the url.I think it's just betw your pc & server.
The url for this page (well, 1400 anyway), is
http:// www .glutenfreeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=16736&st=20985
It worked. Odd thing is that I had read some of the posts on that page, but couldn't get all of them. I totally missed mia's and charlie's posts too.
I need some help with chlorella. I just ran out of my bottle and I'm getting the rest of my amalgams removed Monday morning My ART lady won't get anymore until Monday. What an inopportune time to run out!Almost in the same boat...BioSET didn't have any yesterday when I was there...fortunatley last time I was there I bought like 5 bottles. I still have three left, but will open one of those today. They last me about a week each. I also need to figure out which one I can buy at WF to supplement these times when she runs out (it happens a lot unfortunately).
Did you guys get better? Was it the msg? I can't believe there are 1400 pgs, I was on pg. 14 and realized it, no way I can read the whole thing.Hi Naomi! I am feeling better than I did when I joined this thread. I have a little more energy...my dizzyness has all but gone away. I'm sleeping slightly better. Some of the things that remain are joint pain which seems to come and go, stiff achey neck, diarrhea, exhaustion (although I have periods of high energy which is new). It's a slow process I think, but I'm getting better all the time. I was found to have lyme disease, mold toxicity, metals toxicity, vitamin/mineral imbalances, candida, bacterial and viral infections.
Cumanda is an extremely powerful anti-Lyme treatment, as well as an excellent anti-fungal and also is a pretty good anti-viral and antiparasitic. So you eliminate a lot of different bugs with one therapy. It's a different philosophy than the philosophy used by conventional medicine, which is one bug, one drug. So if you have six bugs, you have six drugs.Now, besides Cumanda we have Banderol, which is a very powerful herbal
antimicrobial from Peru also through Nutramedix, and Quina, which has been used in Peru for many centuries for treatment for malaria, but is also an excellent anti-Lyme treatment as well as a pretty good anti-fungal and anti-parasitic.
...
I use bromelain as a proteolytic enzyme. Bromelain is derived from pineapple. And also I use Carnivora, which is derived from Venus Flytrap. These two seem to be fairly well-tolerated and not likely contaminated and not very allergenic. A lot of the other enzymes that are on the market are either contaminated or allergenic. But those two work really well.
We've found that if you rotate remedies, that you're less likely for the microbes to develop sensitivity or resistance to the treatment, and [it's] less likely for the patient to develop an allergy or sensitivity to it."
Yeah, I'm taking Banderol and Cumanda (rotating them---two weeks on one then two weeks on the other). Scott was the one who told me about these. So far they seem to sit well with me, although Anna told me I could only use 5 drops twice a day...I was taking 10 twice a day with no ill affects. I'll have to check out Carnivora, cuz I haven't found an enzyme yet that I can tolerate.

Yes, Donna--I'm so happy for you that you'll be able to go on the cruise after all.
Me too!!!!!
-
Do you want to me find some key words on page 1399 for you?
Oh, yes please!!!!
Not much else to tell on the BioSET thing...maybe next week will be more exciting.
I have a theory on this. I think that individuals like us have a very high EMF frequency. That in turn, results in being especially pulled by the Earth's gravity at times. What do you think? Charlotte King said she actually made high voltage light bulbs go out, and made cameras go blank. This tends to happen when spirits are present, too, who also have EMFs that are often high....
So, when do you leave?
Cruises are a blast. I sure could use a tan! I hate being Irish. We have no pigment. It is just plain unfair! Thank all of your Italian-Hispanic relatives!
We leave on October 27th! Yay! I'm not a sun person anymore, so basically all I'll do is walk around, eat, walk, eat, eat and eat.
Re the EMF thing...I've always thought I've got something like that going on because I kill watch batteries...I gave up wearing regular watches because the battery dies after only a few months...doesn't matter how expensive it is either...I've had really expensive watches and really cheap watches. I finally had to get solar watches.
Tom, I'll be in SJ from Aug 6-10th. I don't know yet what I'm doing the evening of the 10th. No hotel plans. I might be sleeping in my rental car! Aug 11th-21st is my spiritual retreat at Asilomar near Monterey. Anyhoo, when do you get in to SJ? PM me! I'm ready for a close encounter of the Rachelville kind.
...
Donna, I have done that before, but not very often. It's like totally negating your treatment. And throwing your money away!
Well PM me too...if I can I'll pop by too for a meet up.
Okay, I like your statement on throwing month away and negating treatment. Must remember, must remember, must remember.
-
Well, I can't read page 1399....so can't respond to anything there.
I haven't had this problem in quite a few weeks now.
Oh LISA!!!!!! I'm so happy you are seeing this new doctor for some IV nutrition!!! Yay!!!!!
Jin - I'M GOING MEXICO!!!
Yes, we're going on a cruise. It's all booked, the air is booked and paid for. I really need to get away for a while. We're going to Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas and Puerta Vallarta.
Anyway, now there's the planning and stuff, so that will take my mind off work for a while. No new developments on the solo...I skipped practice on Thursday cuz I just didn't have the energy for it. I'll have to go next Thursday though no matter how I feel cuz that's our practice on the mics.
Rachel - I'm just so fascinated about this LED stuff. I ran into Scott at BioSET today and we talked for a long time...he had just come from his second LED treatment. He didn't have much to report on progress...it's a little too soon to tell he said, but he's optimistic. He's also doing the IRT (or going to do it). Anyway, I mentioned that you just had your initial "exam"...he said he'd email you, but it won't be until at least tomorrow cuz of his treatment.
He did say he was tired after his first treatment, but he felt fine this time and looked like he meant it, lol.
~~~~~
So I was just slightly miffed at my BioSET appointment today because apparently Anna didn't write down why I was coming in for these next two sessions, lol. But it all worked out. I got Denise and after I explained what Anna tested me on last time and what the goal was for these next two sessions, she tested me on one of the 4 lyme panels. Last time I had panel 4, this time she picked 3. I only reacted to 4 vials--I was very happy, but she said it's not great to react to any of them.
So these vials were affecting my carbohydrate metobalism and gallbladder and a bunch of other things I can't remember. Kind of didn't feel well after I got home, but that could be because I found some soft baked chewy chocolate chip enjoy life cookies at whole foods and ate two of them when I got home.
Probably not a good idea after having just been "treated" for it.
-
I don't know what would be the culprit of the foods you've been eating lately. I would think the soy could have had a part. Aren't you soy intolerant?
Yeah I think I am. It definitely tested badly in BioSET, but even before that I noticed that I had "issues" whenever I had soy...at least soymilk...don't have many other forms of it.
It could be anything that you're eating most days. Rice cakes never bothered me before, then all of a sudden. Maybe the increased flax, the veggies, or the garlic? Garlic bothers my MIL's stomach--and she can eat literally anything.Well, haven't had any fruit today yet, so today will be a good day to test that theory. I haven't had the flax yet either, so maybe I'll just not put that in my even supplement shake today. I thought about the garlic too...maybe I won't have any for a few days. Then I'll make sure to only have one of those at a time to see.
-
Regarding the coffee question...I'm not sure what it is for me, but this tested badly in BioSET for me. It's something in the coffee itself or the way it's processed or maybe even the mold. Decaf and regular...didn't matter I don't think. I had some on Saturday though...couldn't help myself.
I was waiting in Target for my mom and aunt and the Starbucks was just staring at me. So I had one...iced vente sugar free vanilla soy latte...take your pick as to what did me in this week.
Undigested food in the stool is bad! Is it normal for it to float sometimes even when you are gluten-free? Can anything else cause it to float? I know I have been gluten-free, so I was wondering about this the other day. I hope you do better soon.I don't know if it's normal, but mine do sometimes. I've been about 4 times today so far and half of those floated...the one with the undigested food, no. (That was the first) I know, TMI, TMI Donna!
Great news about the possible cruise! Hope you can work that outYeah, me too...haven't heard yet whether we can use our credits...if so, it's a great deal.
I have that undigested food issue about twice a week. I have no idea what causes it, but it makes things awfully crampy and I have mental unease about it. I think I'll spark up my food journal again, because at this point, it's really my only indicator of how my digestion is going. I've gone so far as to blend my food so that won't happen, but it doesn't really work.I'm excited for your quit date too!
Crampy is a good word for how I feel today, lol. Crappy is descriptive too.
Do you think your nut butters are starting to have an effect on you or have you eaten something else recently that your body doesn't like?Actually cut the nut butters out again...ate the last of what I had a few days ago. I ate a carrot yesterday, but I had one on Saturday too with no ill affects. What was undigested was either the carrot or the tomatoes (or maybe both) from yesterday...haven't had either one of those things since Saturday. I have had a couple of new things...I increased my flax meal from 1/4 tsp to 1/2 tsp once a day, had goatein yesterday (a whole scoop instead of half a scoop, only one time), along with a goat milk yogurt for breakfast, and some fruit (one day it was a banana, one day an orange and yesterday an apple (peeled). Everything else is stuff I always eat, all the time. Oh, with the exception of garlic...I've been having a clove or a clove and a half per day at dinner.
I don't know, maybe it's still the soy/coffee/sugarfree vanilla syrup from Saturday.
I've also been having abdominal pain (which I haven't mentioned here cuz so many people are going through so much and it seemed rather minor in comparison), for about a week...happens just once a day, and seemingly after I eat fruit (doesn't seem to matter which kind of fruit).
-
Uggg...been awake since about midnight...had the strangest, oddest dreams.
Undigested stuff in my poo this morning from yesterday.
May be going on a cruise afterall!!!! Friend found a cheaper cruise to Mexico which leaves out of Los Angeles. I can't do the long flights to Florida very well any more, so this was fantastic. It's also only 7 days so I'll only have to take 5 days off work. We may go...I'll know later.
Good--then he's on them already? My husband got Lyme last year--rash, fatigue, stiff neck, etc. Luckily his doctor didn't even wait for the blood test results--he put him on Doxy immediately.I think he is...I don't know him at all really....we "know" each other because of who we are, but I've never really talked to him...have to make sure it isn't awkward.
OK...my appt. was AMAZING.Okay, add me to the email list please!
on the brain fog lack of pee fest.
We are of those whose scales haven't been tipped yet, but I believe we were on the way. Talitha and Seth's food intolerances have kept building over the last year. Micah's have too, although his haven't been manifesting obviously, aside from D.I think this way too. I was sick, but not nearly as sick as some, but I was definitely heading there.
As for infections, viruses are a problem for me. We don't talk about them much here in OMGville, but I think they are a huge problem, especially with autism, as you mentioned. And I seem to have a genetic disposition for autism in my family. I have a nephew who has Asperger's syndrome and a brother with autistic tendencies (didn't talk till he was 3, and then it was in full sentences!).I have a lot of viral and bacterial issues too...they always show up in ART and BioSET.
We may have some mildly autistic tendencies in our family, but none outright that I know of.
-
Happy Birthday!!!
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
-
Lisa, did they at least give you IV nutrition?
-
RACHEL...I bet you didn't realize....it's the 25th!!!!
sorry, just cracking myself up.
AAACK!! JURY DUTY!I'd gotten the notices a couple times and I just slip 'em into the junk-mail-of-the-day then <oops> toss the junkmail.
Never hear back from the court.
This was even before my sister the lawyer told me how they send out like 5x the notices compared to the # of responses they need.
Yeah, my co-worker just told me yesterday that her husband just throws them away. A lawyer friend of theirs told them that what's the worst that can happen?...you get brought before the court...he said the jails are so full they probably wouldn't do anything anyway. I said, yeah with the way things work for me, I'd get sent to jail and my cell mate would be attilla the hun.
Best I put up with annoyance once a year or so.
I don't remember if I commented on the band member who has lyme. How could the doctors not know the traditional bulls-eye rash?!?!Maybe you could give him your doctors office name if he wants to see an LLMD. Maybe he's happy with his doctor and hasn't learned that they don't all know what they are doing in situations like these.
I didn't get to talk to him on Sunday, but I'll try to this week for sure. He's already got so many medical issues it isn't funny...makes us look healthy. I'll ask him how many weeks of antibiotics he got.
-
Congratulations to Jin's dad....yeah, since your friends have such good energy tell him he needs to buy you an Igenix test!
About the goatmilk...yeah, I hated that too. Icky stuff. But I actually like the yogurt a lot...probably too much, lol.
Carla - Wow, great appointment!!! One of our band members was just diagnosed with Lyme...he had the rash and everything although they (the doctors) didn't get that the rash was lyme for a couple of weeks. Anyway, one of my small group girls was telling me about it and asked about my treatment. I said I'm not on antibiotics yet...doctor is in no hurry cuz we're trying to make sure my body can detox and when you've had it as long as I have those stupid bugs are entrenched already.
she looked at me like
OMG--I know what you mean! I've been called several times in the last few years. I served once, once sat through jury selection, but was not picked, and once got out of it because they called me twice in 3 years.That sounds about like my history, lol. The jury I was picked for (as an alternate) was a murder trial...I tried to get out of it, but they loved me, lol. Fortunately after two weeks the case was settled.
Thank You Donna - I've bookmarked that site. I think I should probably have been on Chlorella for a while now. The PH thing is definitely an issue with me, or I wouldn't have foamy pee - has something to do with specific gravity I think - scuze the candidness of that !It looks like there are a lot of reasons for me to take it. I'll start out slow & see how I tolerate it.
>>>>>By the way, on the subject of pee
I wanted to let you guys know that I pee in that stupid orange jug every time I see my doc. It's a 24 hour urine test and I have to re-organize and re-orient the refrigrator every time. It's a drag, man. So, I only feel a little bit sorry for you guys when you have to do it.
I'm feelin' for you sir. I grew up in Bakersfield - ran cross country in 118 degree temps regularly during conditioning. My sister lives in Phoenix too, but she deserves it ! You don't - get out now - while you're still breathing.
Okay, I shall never again complain about the possibility of the orange jug in my future, lol!
Yeah, my BioSET lady started me on that as soon as she heard I was in the middle of my amalgam removal. My other doctor had me taking something called Pectasol...but that's REALLY expensive and hard to get...it's a fiber that is supposed to bind with the metals in the gut too. I started both of those before my amalgams were all out.
Apparently, I can't stop talking today. Plus, I'm only half way to being able to caption my avatar. Hope I'm not a bother, but I can't seem to stop. I should go do some laundry ... or cook something or something. Okay, I'm off ... really.Nah, you should stay here and talk to us.
(Gee wonder why my house is a shambles, lol).
You are never a bother, Kat! You're going through some major things right now, and the people here understand. Post whatever, wheneverYah!
I'm back----and yall have been busy!xoxo
Welcome back...we want to hear all about the trip when you're up to it.
I Know whats coming tomorrow...and its not just my appt.Aha! Glad things are okay again at work.
IS IT THE 25TH YET????!!!!!
-
Yes, I am currently trying goat milk yogurt and sheep milk yogurt. I seem to be doing okay with them, but am also trying hard to NOT have it every day. I had goat Sunday, sheep yesterday and today nothing. I love yogurt though! Love it. I missed it a lot, lol.
I am also trying the Goatein whey powder. I'm doing that very slowly...only half a scoop on my "goat" days, lol.
I'm not sure I'll know if it's affecting me badly until I get a sinus infection though. I think casein might have been the main culprit in my chronic congestion for that 3 year period where I had constant sinus infections.
Here's a little info on chlorella
Open Original Shared Link
Health Benefits Of Chlorella
Heavy metal removal using chlorella
Chlorella is a powerful detoxification aid for heavy metals and other pesticides. Numerous research projects in the U.S. and Europe indicate that chlorella can also aid the body in breaking down persistent hydrocarbon and metallic toxins such as mercury, cadmium and lead, DDT and PCB while strengthening the immune system response. In Japan, interest in chlorella has focused largely on its detoxifying properties - its ability to remove or neutralize poisonous substances from the body.
This detoxification of heavy metals and other chemical toxins in the blood will take 3 to 6 months to build up enough to begin this process depending on how much chlorella a person is taking. Chlorella is a food. As such, it is almost impossible to take too much chlorella. It is also this fibrous material which greatly augments healthy digestion and overall digestive track health.
How Does Chlorella Detoxify Your Body?
Chlorella is comprised of a fibrous, indigestible outer shell (20%) and its inner nutrients (80%). It is the fibrous material which has been proven to actually bind with the heavy metals and pesticides - such as PCBs - which can accumulate in our bodies.
A clean bloodstream, with an abundance of red blood cells to carry oxygen, is necessary to a strong natural defense system. Chlorella's cleansing action on the bowel and other elimination channels, as well as its protection of the liver, helps keep the blood clean. Clean blood insures that metabolic wastes are efficiently carried away from the tissues.
Chlorella gets its name from the high amount of chlorophyl it possesses. Chlorella contains more chlorophyl per gram than any other plant. Chlorophyl is one of the greatest food substances for cleansing the bowel and other elimination systems, such as the liver and the blood.
Green algae are the highest sources of chlorophyl in the plant world. And of all the green algae studied so far, chlorella has the highest, often ranging from 3 to 5% pure natural chlorophyll.
Chlorella is a key detoxification tool
Hemoglobin is the protein in our red blood cells which binds with oxygen and gives blood its bright red color. Chlorophyll cells are nearly identical to hemoglobin, with one exception: Chlorophyll has a magnesium molecule at its center while hemoglobin has an iron molecule at the center of it.
This is important because magnesium is essential for the heart to function properly. Every time our heart beats, it is utilizing magnesium to do so.
Chlorophyll is effective against anemia and stimulates the production of red blood cells in the body. It also helps carry oxygen around the body and to the brain. This is why chlorella is often called a 'Brain Food'.
Several researchers have suggested the use of chlorophyll as a medical therapy for anemia.
Chlorella Will Improve Your Digestive System
Since chlorella has such a high chlorophyll content, people find chronic bad breath is often eliminated in just a few days on chlorella. Foul smelling stools are also greatly improved and chlorophyll has been attributed to relieving constipation.
Chlorella Shown To Be Helpful in Fighting Cancer
Interferon is one of our body's greatest natural defenses against cancer. One of the ways we fight cancer is to use agents to stimulate macrophage production and activity. Interferon is a natural secretion of the body which is thought to be a stimulator of macrophages and tumor necrosis factor.
Chlorella stimulates the activity of macrophages and T-cells by increasing interferon levels thus enhancing the immune system's ability to combat foreign invaders whether they are viruses, bacteria, chemicals or foreign proteins.
Chlorella Contains Natural Digestive and other Enzymes
Chlorella contains enzymes such as chlorophyllase and pepsin, which are two digestive enzymes. Enzymes perform a number of important functions in the body. Chlorella has many different types of enzymes that our bodies need.
It is essential that any chlorella you take is NOT freeze dried or pasteurized. If it is, then you have lost the crucial benefit of enzymes such as these.
Chlorella is Alkaline and Helps Balance Your Body's pH
It's important that we maintain a balance body pH of ideally about 7.2-7.4, which is about neutral. However, because of our poor diet of junk food, overcooked, processed foods, fast food, which include soft drinks which have a pH of 2.7, most of us are not balanced.
This is important because most diseases start, live and thrive in an acidic environment and do not live well in an alkaline environment. Cancer rates have risen steadily so that now fully 1/3 of all people in the U. S. will get cancer in their lifetime.
The rise of fast, junk and processed foods match those of rising cancer rates. 30 years ago, cancer in children was almost unheard of. Now they have entire hospital wards given over to children with cancer. Including whole foods like chlorella in your diet is one step you can take toward reducing your risks for cancer.
Chlorella Normalizes Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure
Studies have shown that chlorella tends to normalize blood sugar in cases of hypoglycemia. In hypoglycemia, blood sugar is too low. Proper levels of blood sugar are necessary for normal brain function, heart function and energy metabolism, all of which are crucial in sustaining good health and preventing disease.
High blood pressure is one of the major risk factors in heart attack and stroke, which account for more fatalities in the United States than any other disease. Laboratory experiments have shown that regular use of chlorella reduces high blood pressure and prevents strokes in rats.
You can find the best price on the internet for high quality chlorella here . I encourage you to compare with other merchants on the internet and you will see what I mean.
The pillars of a good mercury detoxification program are chlorella, N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC), MSM and the herb cilantro, which is discussed here. My favorite source for organic cilantro in 1 pound bags is here. Garlic is also a good mercury chelator.
Yeah Kat, metals and candida really go hand in hand...they love each other.
I think I may be the only one still taking chlorella. I've taken it since January on the advice of my BioSET lady, but EVERY doctor I have wants me to keep taking it...my LLMD, the HN doctors, Scott the ART guy... I take it in liquid form which I get from my BioSET person...it ain't cheap and I think tastes nasty, lol. It's about $25 for a small bottle which lasts me about a week. There are some good capsule brands though too...I can't remember the name of them though...
I'll see if I can find the info.
Aw Rachel, stupid argumentative mood swing from boss! Sheesh, what happens in a week's time?! Work weekends...? You'd get two days off during the week right? I've done that, but didn't like it much. Never thought it would make a difference since I'm single, but my friends and family all had weekends off at the time, so really never did much.
I got a jury summons!
This is NOT happy news, lol. They seem to LOVE me there. I've been seated on a jury once already, and have had to report in person a couple of other times.
Anyway, it was for the week of my LLMD appointment, so I just had to call to reschedule it...at least now it's sooner...I go in a couple of weeks instead of waiting til the end of the month. Couldn't take a chance on making it for the following week just in case I get on a jury.
Must start planning food issues NOW, lol.
Jin - when you say regular filling, are you talking about amalgam or composite filling?
Thanks Rachel for the update on Lisa...I'm so glad she went!
Here are the websites that I was talking about. They were originally posted on LN...I don't know if there is anything there to help, but maybe, so here they are:
Patient advocacy: Open Original Shared Link
Here is a health insurance message board: Open Original Shared Link
Here is one for prescription assistance: Open Original Shared Link
Lisa, I agree with Carla and Rachel, you need some immediate help and the hospital will at least get some nutrients into you. The other stuff can come later.
I have some websites bookmarked at work for assistance/patient advocacy...I'll post them...maybe there's something there that can help you with the medical costs.
Re the passing out thing...yeah that was bad for me last year. I have really low blood pressure, and when I stand up it (the blood pressure) shoots down. My doctors (the Health Now doctors, lol) told me that, that was a sign of low adrenals. Well, yeah, I definitely have low adrenal function...in my case, though, I think THAT is caused by something else. I mostly don't feel like I will pass out anymore, but I still do feel a change in blood pressure when I stand up. I think the supplements they've had me on forever now have helped a great deal.
Having the amalgams out probably helped too.
Addressing the lyme and mold and metals and candida has probably helped too.
Okay, so I asked the question on my fitness forum about rebounding, here's what a couple said:
I have read the minimum time for healthbouncing to increase the lymphocytes in the bloodstream is 2 minutes. 15 minutes sound about right to me for the ultimate effect if it is the only thing you are doing cuz in Discovering Chi, bouncing in horse stance (on a regular floor/ground) is supposed to be done 15 minutes a day especially if nothing else is being done.
Forget how long others have suggested LOL
I was looking up the health bouncing question in "Rebounding To Better Health" an old paperback I got years ago. It says "A couple of minutes of health bouncing is very effective for moving the lymph fluid, flushing toxins and waste products out of your body." "In a few minutes of health bouncing, the white blood cells are increased as much as three fold....It can be an exercise by itself, done briefly four or five times a day."
I do remember 5 mintues from somewhere, though...
...
It says brief sessions, several times a day are more therapeutic than one long session, because of the repeated movement of lymph and increased production of white blood cells every tiem you health bounce.
I did some checking on the Internet and found one site that said 40 minutes!
Now, that was 10 minutes at a time, 4 times a day. Still I think that is a bit much, lol. Anyway, I like the comment on the several sessions a day thing. My favorite thing to do on the rebounder is jumping jacks, so I can do 2 minutes of jumping jacks a bunch of times a day.
Ooooh, got me on the EFAs...since I can't seem to tak e any of the fish-based ones.
Also think I can't do flax well...
Can't say that I've had that, no.
But yeah, sometimes the way people tout the procedures leaves me very wary...
Oh tell me about it again sister! My big Italian family was big on dairy. I've got a picture of me in my highchair at 1 year old or so with a HUGE plate 'o spaghetti in front of my...shoveling it into my mouth...can't have spaghetti without cheese...it is just unheard of.
