  1. But I did realize I should be working! Getting PAID if I'm gonna think critically and not just goof around!

And blood? ... (Buffy! Faith! Come quick!)

I got more but I'm tired and no one wants to read all the way to here anyway.

Well, some of us WANT to and do, but we just don't understand it all. :P

Tom still need help with photo's. I have somephotos on photobucket. I press add then nothing. It says done but nothing happens or it says cannot do. Im not to bright I guess. Are the pics to large or something. How to make them smaller?

Hum, the photo MAY have to be stored on your own computer somewhere first?!

It has literally been months since I have not eaten nuts on a daily basis. They are my 'go to' food when I know I need to eat something and nothing appeals to me or I don't have the energy to cook or I am travelling.

If cutting out nuts makes a big difference then it would seem mold is an issue for me, that is what I am hoping to find out.

Ditto on both for me! It's been so long since I haven't had nuts...and since I have such a HUGE problem with molds, both in traditional allergy and in BioSET testing and THEN an IgG mold toxicity...well, I can't help but think it would really benefit me to NOT eat these things. :P

So glad your massage went well. Sounds like you feel better.

I definitely do. The pain is perhaps down to a 9. I have a bit more range of motion, but the pain is still there when trying to lift my arm more than an inch in any direction.

I wanted to try SF living. SJ awfully sleepy in comparison. Heck, most places are.

Back then "Baghdad by the Bay" was a compliment!

    ...

Oh well - no way I was commuting to silicon valley. I like living not too far from work.

Sleepy?! Here I am thinking it's like a war zone most of the time... :P

Yeah, commuting = heinosity squared! My commute is about 30 minutes--with no traffic!!!

  2. Massage is heavenly! :P (As close to a dreamy emoticon as I can get). Hot epsom bath after 1 hour massage, priceless! I made another appointment for July for a hot stone treatment! Can't wait for that one...never done the hot stone before.

make sure you are not lifting your shoulders when you are doing things like putting dishes away in cabinets, playing the flute, reaching for things, etc.

    ...

It's a vicious circle. One thing hurts, you unconsciously use different muscles as a way of protecting it, then they hurt worse than the first thing, and pretty soon you can't get out of the pain circle, and everything in the area hurts!

Yes, I do think I tend to lift my shoulders and I definitely have pain cycles because of the compensation thing. Must be more aware of shoulders. No problem today though. :P Couldn't lift my shoulder if I wanted to...hurts WAY too much.

Fine!!! no matter what they say about 'he who laughs alone", ya can't deny he has fun doing it!!

 But still no comment...what thread?

Now we have yet another spelling!!!

    ...

We just bought a house. It's a commercial property, but was used as residential up till now. It's a beautiful old Victorian that a lady has lived in her whole married life ... she's in her 80's. Her husband's family owned it before them. It's in the commercial area downtown where we live ... don't know what we are going to do with it, but it was a REALLY GOOD deal, so we couldn't pass it up.

Yes, just covering my bases by combining dongo'd and dingo'd...can be either diongo'd or doingo'd depending on my mood. :P

Wow, how exciting about the house...congratulations.

I'm getting ready to leave right now.

Well, you're already gone, so this is late, but you know, this may actually turn out to be good for you...It can be a closure, even if no toxicity occurs.

I had to cut loose a friendship too...it just wasn't healthy!

If any of u current Testers have even just an inkling that maybe all the above is true (and it is), isn't it worth extending the test period??

I haven't started my test yet, but plan to tomorrow... I plan to give it at least 7 days.

Well- it seems pretty clear with all the people who do/have lived in the bay Area that the Rachelville Reunion must take place up in Napa or Sonoma. My first choice is we take over the town and spas of calistoga

Last one in the mud baths an exploding egg!

 cute story about the recital! Yes, Napa or Sonoma....can you believe I have NEVER been there!!!! I would LOVE to go up there for a spa getaway! I also haven't spent much time in SF...did have a good friend who lived right off one of the freeways, so I didn't really have to learn my way around cuz he did all the driving.

  3. Oh, and someone asked (sorry, I'm having a hard time focusing today...even quoting the stuff I want to answer I still diongoed stuff) why I was getting the injections...or at least I think someone did...who can remember...

Anyway, I have had really sore stiff neck, shoulders and elbows forEVER, and while I'm quite certain it is as bad as it is because of the lyme, the HN doctors thought that PT/Chiropractic would help....did a little, but then they wanted to try the prolotherapy (similar to trigger point injections but they inject a different solution into the "insertion point" instead of the trigger point") on me to see if that would help. I agreed to it after doing a bit of research.

  4. Um, is this level of pain really considered normal?

Um, nope, don't think so. Somewhere around here I have the doctor's cell phone number...probably in the same place as the prescription for vicodin which I never did find. She gave it to me after she hit a nerve in my elbow two times ago. Even THAT wasn't as bad as this...I just couldn't move my hand for 30 minutes...no biggy. :P

I'm not much of an LLRR (LymeLiterateR'villeResident), but there's no doubt in my mind that Candida physiologically neurochemically creates cravings. I don't have links to my trusted sources, but don't think it's anywhere near a controversy in the books etc.

Yeah, just add the candida nightmare to the lyme nightmare and stir in a little mold toxicity and see what you get. Oh yeah, you get Rachel or Donna and maybe Lisa, Mia, Tom...!

    Donna...that sounds really bad.

I'm sorry you've been in so much pain...I hope your able to take something that relieves it...or that the whole thing just goes away real fast so you can enjoy your day.

    {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Thanks...6 tylenol seem to have taken it down a notch. :P (By-the-way, not all taken at one time)

Donna...could have used your assistance last night but now I know you were out of commission.

Well, daaayannnggg, I was probably awake! Always on call for a bit of pest relocation! Course, with my arm, it would have been a bit harder to do, but I'm crafty, I could figure something out. Stupid bugs? Could it be a mosquito? I'm thinking on you a mosquito bite might be pretty heinous indeed.

Seems just about anything can happen across this multi-dimensional spectrum of situationally-dependent experiences & effects.

Say HUH?!:lol: I can't read the tickle me elbow thread cuz I don't understand HALF of the words. :P

P,S, and hey everyone come ON!! I get nothin on the pages-back (1st post-forum-shutdown post) mention of dingo/dongo difference ~10 WIRDS per minute???? REALly???

Should I have gone w/ the alternate

"I think the difference betw dingo & dongo is the diff betw 80 vs 70 wirds per minute" ?

Not a mention at all - after all the cracking up I did writing it. C'mon!!! I'm begging now ferpetessake!!

Well I must have diongoed it cuz I know I read all posts this morning, but I plead severe pain...it was before the Tylenold kicked in and I barely remember this morning already.

I also like something called, "Tiger Balm," which the orthopedist says does zilch, but the physical therapist says that the patients she sees who use it get better.

Heat will speed blood flow without increasing pain (might even make it feel better)--can you go to a health club that has a whirlpool? Or maybe just a nice, hot bath with bubbles?

Yes, I have taken some Tylenol which has knocked it back enough for me to function, although I still cannot move my arm much....at least I can let it hang down at my side now...earlier I had to hold it with my right hand. And, yes to heat...they WANT me to use heat after the injections...went to bed with a heat pack and had a heating pad on it this morning. I bought some of those peel and stick heat thingies to try too. Hot epsom salt bath is coming after my 1 hour massage later.

The Tiger Galm reminds of of arnica gel...I have arnica gel and I may try a little of that on it.

And everytime someone is "popping" in to say hello, I keep waiting for someone to write they are pooping in to say hello. More than likely it will end being me after being moldened by pb.

  5. Donna - wth?? I recall something about shoulder "this is gonna hurt"(?) but THAT is insane! Hope it's better quickly!

At Normandy, you'd get a surette of morphine. Not sure *what* u can try in SJ. Aaaaaargh.

Well, morphine makes me sick, but I think I might chance it right now. I don't think she hit a nerve, even as bad as it is...I think it's near the rotator cuff area and it's been really sore for months anyway...I think it's just really inflammed and probably swollen in there. I'll get my massage later then soak in epsom salts and see if I can't dig up that prescription for vicodin. :P

  6. OKay, typing really hurts, so these will be shorter than normal. :P

I have a parasite stool test I have been doing since um Tuesday. I need five more tubes for 2 different days. But doing enymas to go number 2 will mess it up and today I had moldenen diarrhea but at the library so I miss those tubes. Maybe I should carry those tubes around with me.

I HATE these stupid tests, lol. I normally have diarrhea, but as soon as it's time for one of these stupid tests, suddenly I have C!!! Happens every time.

Sometimes I believe like with peanut butter we have cravings because 1 we crave what we can't have or are bodies are in need of fat or we are lacking some nutrient of some sort I suppose.

    I've heard this before too.

I think our poops should be called warheads.

Why is your arm hurting so much? Did you hurt it or is it nerve?

I had a prolotherapy injection yesterday. Prolotherapy is an injection of sugar water, B12 and lidocaine. They inject that into the muscle at the insertion point (DOWN TO THE BONE!!)...the idea is to cause inflammation which causes blood to rush to the area which is supposed to strenghten that muscle at the insertion point at the bone. I've been having them in my neck, shoulders and elbows for a few months now...this was my last one and by far the most painful! The bad part is that because they WANT the inflammation, I can't take Advil or anything like that...has to be something that WON'T take the inflammation down. I don't like, and actually really haven't had to take anything for the pain in any of my other sessions...she prescribed vicodin on my very first appointment but I never filled the prescription...I may have to dig that up, lol.

Oh Donna, I'm so sorry...I know about pain that is so intense it makes you feel nauseous.

I hope it lessens today--you'll be in my thoughts

SO SORRY you are having such a rough morning!!!hopefully some of the pain is ebbing now and you are able to enjoy or at least particapate in your aunts bday festivities.

Donna- and patti- Hope your symptoms ease up soon. I'd hug you both if you were here!

Hi, Donna and Patti--I'm sorry you're in pain, Donna, and I hope that you feel better soon.

Thanks dear ones...hope you are better today too!

Ok everyone, Is it just me or has the site colour changed from blue to grey ..????

    Not just you, lol.

  7. Okay, worst pain I have ever felt in my life. Can barely move my left arm! Took two tylenol then went to bed with a heat pack and slept reasonably well until midnight, then had to get up to use the restroom, and OMG, the pain was so bad I nearly threw up!!! Had to hurry back to bed or I definitely would have lost any cookies that exist anywhere in the world. Somehow managed to get back to sleep but woke up again at 3:00 to loud banging which I could clearly hear over my most wonderful sound machine. Turns out my neighbors are still up...it's freeeken 3:00 in the morning and they are having some sort of noise fest... I've just taken some more tylenol, had a tiny bit to eat...it's about 4:00...about time for me to go up and take a shower...perhaps an elbow or two on the wall that separates me from my neighbors...oh wait...can't do that BECAUSE I'M in SEARING pain. :P

But honestly, this is the worst pain I have ever felt. On a scale between 0-10, this is probably 11. I can barely move my left arm at all. Showering is going to be interesting!

Today I am supposed to celebrate my aunt's birthday with my mom and my aunt, but not sure I can even drive. :( Grrr. Also have to go grocery shopping. Grrrr. :P

  8. Uggggg...shoulder really starting to hurt. Doctor said it would after the injection...her exact words "this is going to cause some pain"...and she wasn't talking about the injection itself. I thought I might get to bypass it this time, cuz haven't felt even a little ache...until now. I may have to take some tylenol later. I've been stretching...which is actually supposed to be good for it. Yikes!

Today i had an amazing physical therapy session. This guy is really fantastic. He uses so many different methods.

    ...

i thought of you because I think he got tired of telling me to relax and started saying "no tension" instead

I'm so excited for these appointments for you...and the new doctor too! I have a 1 hour massage schedule tomorrow (not with the PT guy though), and hopefully I can relax enough...I have my epsom salt bubble bath all ready to go for when I get home.

How is this different than "dingo-ing"?

    !!!!!!!

Warning you may all be jealous of my weekend plans......... Stool test(sad face) .

Its one of those 3 day stool tests and i don't so much mind doing it but the saline solution i ahve to drink tomorrow morning when i start it KILLS me I think i cried last time i had to drink it- it makes me really sick

 !! Yes, jealous indeed... NOT!

My Dr. said there is no such thing as TOO much glutathione in the body B) ...at least I *think* thats what he said.

    Brains kinda messed up today.

Yep, I think you're right about that. BUT WHAT DID HE SAY ABOUT DMPS!?

  9. Well, you all will be happy to know that I did NOT eat Fritos today. They restocked the snack drawers and lo and behold there was another bag of Fritos. I took it, but didn't eat it. Yay me! :P

I had my reevaluation on the proloterapy today...good news...apparently all the injections worked cuz she could only find one spot in my shoulder. We went ahead and injected that, this should be the last one.

    Halllloooooooo to our dear SusieQ!

So, just thinking you two might want to try longer.

I got fooled on soy at *least* 3 times.

Duly noted! Not sure I can commit though...not until I find some fat to replace it, but I'm sure going to try!

Well, in that case, I may have a rough time of it here in Rachelville. Rachelling and carlaing are apparently not my specialty.

I've rarely been accused of overdoing it and I have no discipline whatsoever. Don't get me wrong: it's not that I don't care...it's just that I'm really lazy. I don't expect that this should change any time soon. I've grown fond of my apathetic lifestyle. Indeed, I will tell tale of how motivated and commited I am, but don't let it fool you. It's all mirrors & smoke. Speaking of which, I have to get going. I have a full weekend of slacking off to get ready for - or not, maybe. Did I mention that I'm indecisive too? I don't really want to think about metal toxicity right now ... I'm way too lazy.

    have good weekends

k (short for kat, but typically, it's too much work to type it all out)

 !! See you fit right in. I am the queen of lazy! Really! :P And, don't worry, we have people who are somewhere in the middle of racheling and carlaing!

I'm gonna go to the party tomorrow.

:o May the force be with you fearless president!

In other news....I racheled the Spiceship last night.

I think I overdid things....first there was the coffee e.....immediately followed by a ride in the Ship. I couldnt sweat for nothing.....It happens when I'm too toxic.

    :o :o :o

Off to see Dr. S. now. :)

Anyone wanna guess at whether I'm gonna get to do the DMPS challenge test this time??

Can't wait to hear about this...I'm thinking not this time, but probably next time...especially if he hears about the spiceship rachelling.

OMG- I can't believe eggs now fall under the category of "It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye"

This totally cracked me up for some reason! I think it's the WAY you said it. Yeah, I can hear you in my head and it was funny! :P

Excited about this new doctor on Monday. Can't wait. Won't be able to sleep. Maybe she can help with weight and stuff. She is a Naturopath who also does chiropractic and nutrition. So she can maybe help me gain weight.

I'm excited too!!! Can't wait for it myself!

Oh and Rachel and Donna, don't Rachel the gluthothione IV's o.k.

    Oh, if you insist!

Sometimes Rachel I wonder if I get that molden reaction from the warm water enymas I do. I did one last night.

Hum, wonder if mold can form inside the bag?

I was having a great day until what should've been no more than a minor annoyance bugged me too much.

Mom *knows* I'm out of minutes. When she was doing online HPscanner tech support, she was emailing me the Qs instead of being on ph.

And w/ visitors in town, we've been emailing and txt'g about schedule.

But suddenly she calls, and has me saying "hello . . . . . Hello? HELLO!" for 30sec b4 making a sound! So I'm not happy about having an over-minutes call start like this, but expecting something important or worse as the . . . oh crap . . (This story is only about my mom) as the reason for the call. But no. She had hit a wrong button and now the tv doesn't work.

Well yay on the 0 bill! Moms can be funny that way...my mom NEVER calls me, so when she does I always think it's an emergency. My PT guy was getting ready to work on me, and his phone went off, he looked to see who it was...it was him mom, so he asked me to wait a minute because she never calls...he thought it must be really important to call him at work. She just wanted to chat.:P

    Ouch on the glass!

  10. Donna, I was able to open the spreadsheet and I see that my results aren't there, Andrea, do you have them? If not, I will find them in my papers, piles and piles of papers that I have put off dealing with for at least a year, maybe two.

Do you recall when we talked about avoiding paperwork, bills, etc.? It didn't help.

I think you only posted your IgG results (at least in the original post I found...not sure if you posted them at some other time...after looking back at about 300 pages, my eyes were :lol: )...so you have some info on that tab, but not on the IgM, and when you posted there were only POS not +++'s.

  11. This is probably the same info you already have because it looks like what might be included with the meds, but I found this on their website:

The inactive ingredients in both tablets are low-substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, poloxamer 188, povidone K30, and sodium starch glycolate. The tablet coating contains hypromellose, polyethylene glycol 400, polyethylene glycol 8000, red iron oxide, and titanium dioxide.

  12. I swear I had been POSITIVE soy wasn't an issue for me!!!!!!!!!!!

Good time of year to up 'cado consumption too!! :) I'll eat the ones from Chile, but rejoice when it's time for Californias. They even ripen more reliably, tho maybe only due to vast decrease in travel/shipping.

Yep, have had many of those POSITIVE feelings too. :P Avocados tested bad in BioSET for me, but I have supposedly been treated for those, and I've not ever had symptoms I could directly link to the cados...though my reactions are so delayed sometimes, it's hard to tell. I will try one this weekend on a day when I'm not eating anything else weird ( ) and then not eat anything weird for a few days afterwards.

I re-bookmark multiple times a day now!! and if it's goin' fast'n'furious 3+ times in an hour even!!

    Can I play???

all 3s!! (Or not)Looked good in preview, but didn't work! Pshaw!

Sure you can play...but since my experiment didn't work you may be playing by yourself.

I was actually trying to post my spreadsheet in some sort of readable fashion...noticed that there is an option to switch between "standard" and "rich text" editors. So I was hoping the rich text editor would retain the columns, but no such luck. Or maybe it was that I just didn't have it figured out right.

  13. Donna - such a cute little u in cute pix!!

I was surprised to find mine in color. Had seen so many b/w.

Mine is staying stretched for me, tho. Prior times a refresh cured that. Maybe I should try redo-ing the upload. Hmmmm

Is it not stretched for all of u? I'd guess it's not.

Yes, my boyfriend Timmy is there...I did NOT give him that black eye, and I believe he was not having anything to do with me getting the bird out of the cage.

 Almost ALL of my early pictures were b/w...but that's because the camera had just barely been invented.

I crop all the photos I put on as avatars--not sure if that has anything to do with the stretching??

  14. Thanks much. I've been checking this thread every once in a while - it's interesting and amusing, but really long. I'm curious about this metal toxicity thing, so I'll be back, I'm sure. But this thread ... I wouldn't know where to begin.

    Take care,

    k

Yeah, we don't go back (much) either... if we need to know something we ask again! There is a search feature that will only search this thread though.

So, just jump on in and ask a question about metal toxicity and you'll get all kinds of responses...just don't wait too many days to check the thread after that! Either that or make a note of the page your post ended up on and start reading from there. :P

  15. Are you eating enough fat? All the things you mention are high in fat.

    ...

It's not really going backwards, the treatment is lowering the bacterial load which causes the herx, but afterward you feel so much better! By the end of a couple weeks of feeling good, I'm ready for the next herx because I know I'll even feel better afterward.

Maybe what you're doing is working, but don't look at herxes as going backwards, they're really the opposite.

Well, that's just it, if I don't eat the nuts and nut butters, I don't get enough fat and I end up eating way too much protein (I eat a lot as it is)...I really need fat to keep me full. That's why I was thinking avocado...delicious and high in good fats. I add oil to my cooking too...olive and coconut oils.

Yep, I'll have to adjust my thinking on the herxing thing, lol. It's just similar to what Tom was saying...I'm just afraid the feeling good will go away.

  16. Hey Rachel...just had a thought... (look out  )

If we both end up having IV anythings...we should schedule them on the same days, that way we have someone to talk to. :P

Course, you have your cell phone...but if it works better for you, you can call me on my cell phone in the seat next to you.

(Okay, I'm feeling good today...slept okay and no Fritos to bog me down)

  17. And part 2

Actually I get off before you.....I'm on VACATION!!!

:P Jealous, jealous, jealous!!! But I have a one hour massage schedule for tomorrow! So there. :P

I'd like a copy as well... I'll pm you my email address...

    Okie dokie!

The only thing I changed was I had peas, a little slice of yam and asparagus. I been constipated since I cleaned house on Tuesday. I am sssoo weak today though. I live off of a 700 to 800 calorie diet. I dont know what to do since I cant really digest much.

Wow, 700 to 800 isn't very many calories...is that just because you can't eat much? Gosh what can we do to get some calories into you?!

by the way, you all are out of control with the posting in this thread B) .. this thread alone has more replies than every other sub-forum on this board except for 3 of them... given enough time, I'm sure they'll be overtaken as well...

 Indeed...at least it isn't as bad as it was LAST summer....I think we had an average of 15-20 pages a day!

I'm gonna switch now. It'll be me and lil bro Pete. Not sure how old.

    Very cute pic!

I am thinking about giving it a try. I know that detox could cause trouble, though. I think first I should do the rotation diet and the food journal. Then perhaps the other diet would be a good idea. I am happy to say I have decreased my caffeine intake.

Good plan...the rotation diet (it was also anti-candida/yeast) really was helpful for me...I did that for six months and wasn't sick once during that time...it was the crusie (the one that I've been posting pics of) that I took in August 2005 that did me in...but that was also what led me to the gluten/casein connection.

  18. I'm so jealous of Rachel's VACATION!!!! I want one! :P

I think I had an epiphany last night...one would think I had bad insomnia, but actually I slept quite well. I think I am going to have to give up my beloved nut butters and nuts for a while. I hate to cuz they really help keep me full...but they may also be part of the wild Frito cravings in some odd way. I just have to figure out WHAT I can eat in their place....wonder if I can do avocados yet...that would do it...

In fact, I feel so guilty(?) about feeling so good, I'm ready to take blame for Fritos, choco-face rinne-regret, etc!!!!!

    Bring it on, I say!!!

Had a ball w/ visitors this afternoon. My lil bro sure had himself a heckuva wife & older daughter!!

 Glad you had a great time!

W/ the little Frito bags, it might be the opening of bag #2 that crosses the line?

    Yep...that'd be it. :P

it's been worse the past couple weeks, and I'm actually taking that as a positive sign... when I first started my ABX, I didn't really have the brain fog I was expecting and I was mildly disappointed (I guess as disappointed as one can get that one can actually form some semblance of a thought process)... but sure enough it kicked in after a week or 2 and has been present to a large extent since then... I'm inclined to think that the lyme is the major cause of my neurological symptoms and with them intensifying recently on ABX, I think it goes further to confirm these symptoms are tied to the lyme...

I think I'm taking a step back to take a number of steps forward with this ABX treatment but I was aware that could happen before I started them... it's probably good for me in the long run, but it still sucks in the meantime... though I think it would have been much worse if I hadn't been feeling respectably better earlier this year before treatment and went into the ABX at a certain level of health... I'm still able to do most of what I was doing before starting the ABX, I just don't feel quite as good doing it all...

See, this is exactly why I'm afraid to start abx! I've been feeling relatively good lately...much more energy, and I'm afraid of going backward with the treatments. :(

Listened to it on the way to see lil bro's wife today and got emotional at the exact same spot of the song that was on while writing the other day.

Yep, there's a couple of songs that'll get me every time I hear them...makes me think of my dad.

Amy's instructions were for Anna to test me for glutathione and milk thistle in 2 months. I did not test well for them right now but she does want me to be taking them eventually. I dont know how the glutathione will be administered....I know some Dr.'s do glutathione IV's.

Its another question that I have for Dr. S. tomorrow.

Yep, he does IV glutathione...said that might be a possibility for me. Right now he has me on an oral supplement of it...not sure why he didn't put me on a precursor, but I can ask him that on Tuesday.
