It could be Eosinophilic esophagus which is associated with allergies and can also occur with Celiac Disease but not caused by Celiac Disease. Perhaps an Ear, Nose &Throat doctor can help you with a diagnosis.

I agree with Cycling Lady. You could have Celiac Disease and need to have the complete panel done. Celiac Disease causes malabsorption which results in vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Celiacs often develop B12 deficiency and anemia, but there are other signs of B12 deficiency before the anemia shows up. Canker sores can be caused by vitamin...

Looking for opinions/advice

Maxwell, Hi! Welcome to the forum. Hope we can help though we're not doctors, but we have lots of personal experience. I believe your GP (general practitioner) can order the Celiac Panel tests that Tessa listed. If there are any positives, you can then go to a gastroenterologist for endoscopy and colonoscopy where samples can be taken and examined... -
Bladder pain and urinary (and even fecal) incontinence are symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency in both men and women! Here's one study Open Original Shared Link Get your Vitamin D levels checked! If your vitamin D level is low, get checked for other vitamin deficiencies, the B complex vitamins, and minerals such as magnesium and iron. Celiac...

Stargazer1111, Hi! I had this happen to me, the glucose dropping drastically after eating gluten/corn containing meals. My doctor was less than helpful. There's two kinds of carbohydrates, simple and complex. Simple carbohydrates are made up of one sugar molecule, easily absorbed into the digestive tract. Complex carbohydrates are chains...

Definitely wise to get retested! You may also want to be tested for vitamin deficiencies, especially the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. Celiac Disease causes malabsorption of nutrients, especially fats, like omega three's and vitamins A and D. The eight B vitamins may also be poorly absorbed. Riboflavin is one B vitamin that is needed for eye health... -

It could be Sjogren's syndrome. Tear glands and salivary glands get attacked by those antibodies that go on the rampage after exposure to gluten. The tear glands and salivary glands can't do their jobs resulting in dry swollen eyes, dry sinuses, dry mouth, migraines, and high blood pressure. An ophthalmologist can do a Schirmer's test which measures... -
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK431059/ There are some helpful tips in this article. Under stress, your body requires extra B vitamins. Taking extra B complex when stressed helps me keep cold sores at bay. Hope they heal soon.

Have you been keeping a food journal? Often times recording every thing that is consumed will help pinpoint problematic foods or food types (greasy foods, cold foods, etc). Also record any symptoms after eating (pain, mood changes, etc). Celiac Disease causes malabsorption which results in malnutrition. Celiacs can have problems absorbing enough...

The more I'm "in," the worse it gets!

Tessa, Neutrophils are a type of white blood cell. Your body needs B vitamins like B12, folate, niacin and thiamine, copper, and amino acids to make neutrophils. These vitamins, minerals and amino acids are all found in meat. By eating meat, you provided your body with the nutrients it needed to produce more neutrophils. Subclinical vitamin... -

Your diet of coconut water and yogurt and B12 scares me! Coconut water has diuretic properties. It increases urine production and can cause diarrhea. Yogurt is dairy. Celiacs have damaged villi in the intestines. The tips of the villi normally produce lactase, an enzyme that digests lactose, the sugar in dairy. With damaged blunted villi,... -
This article is helpful. Here's another. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3820055/ Celiacs have problems absorbing not soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) and the eight water soluble B vitamins, especially B12, niacin and thiamine. Minerals like magnesium and zinc are often low. Remember that gluten free versions of bread and cookies...

I am currently taking cod liver oil which has both vitamin A and D. Country Life is the brand I'm trying now. Look for brands that don't add additional vitamin A and D from other sources and that don't add other oils. Vitamin A is important to your immune system. Vitamin A helps in reducing inflammation. Here are some articles. https://www... -

I found improvement when I excluded iodine (as in iodized salt and shellfish). Vitamin D and A supplements help, too. Hope you find relief soon! -
A couple more articles for you. One says high doses of B12 help https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21122544 And low vitamin D is a cause. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25512084 My DH and HS have responded well to Vitamin D and B12 supplementation. I avoid yeast as well. And I avoid nightshade vegetables like potatoes. Get...

Low vitamin D levels are related to vertigo. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26386496 Vitamin D deficiency occurs in Celiac Disease because we have a problem absorbing fats because of the damage to our intestines. Vitamin D and vitamin A are fat soluble vitamins. Optimal Vitamin D levels should be between 70 and 100 nmols. Celiacs often...

Zinc deficiency seems to play a part in Giardia infection. Open Original Shared Link Seems zinc is needed for a proper immune response. Giardia causes malabsorption of vitamins (A and D, B12, folate) and minerals (zinc and iron). Supplementing with zinc may help your body's immune response to fight this parasite. Hope this helps.

Breast Cancer Treatment with Celiace Disease

Just thought I'd add a couple more science articles about how a ketogenic diet may be helpful with cancer. I follow the AutoImmune Protocol diet, a Paleo ketogenic diet which has helped me tremendously. No dairy, no nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant), no grains. And I also eat low histamine foods (nothing fermented or pickled). Histamine...
