  1. From what I understand, different regions are different. In my region, the Mustard Vineragrette (sp?) and the Bleu Cheese are on the NOT gluten-free list. The Honey Mustard (which is different) is gluten-free. But there is another poster here from Florida who works at Outback, and she says that in her area, there is only one dressing that is not gluten-free...
  2. Huh, I didn't catch that! Yeah, I don't get it either. I am a Texan, and I love Outback. Had dinner there last night, and tonight!
  3. Well, *something* upset my stomach everytime I got the Ceaser dressing, EVERYTIME!! I think it was the anchovies. I was fine with Rach, Honey Mustard, you name it, just not Ceaser. Anyway, I just don't eat it now.
  4. Was it by chance a Malt? When I went they made a point to tell me that they made Malts, and to ask that mine was a MILKSHAKE not a MALT, and that the machine was cleaned between uses.
  5. I have been to the Red Robin and the PF Changs near DFW. (Momma Goose-Texas Roadhouse no longer has a gluten-free menu. They revoked it, and are working on it. Just so you know. If you go to a local Texas Roadhouse, then you might be able to work with the managers there that you know, but as a general rule, they do not have a national gluten-free menu...
  6. I had that happen at Jack in the Box. When I first when gluten free, I read somewhere that the tacos were gluten free (which, by the way THEY ARE NOT). But I thought I was doing good! So I asked, while ordering, if they were fried with other stuff, because I saw someone loading them into a fry basket. The pimple faced butthead behind the counter said "that...
  7. Ann, you have good info. Cathy, I would recommend getting the "Atkins:The new diet revolution" book and reading the whole preface, forward, and first couple of paragraphs about carbs, sugars, and the glycemic index. It was good information to have, even if you weren't going to stick with Atkins. I am doing Atkins. It works best (in my opinion) with...
  8. That is so nice of you to look up things for your friend! I have Celiac, but I am also a little intolerant to corn. I have noticed that it makes me bloated. I don't really avoid it (because I don't think it is causing damage like gluten would) but I do keep that in mind, and don't get it as often as I normally would. Just my experience. Hope your friend finds...
  9. It is not on their labels. If your consultant (the person doing the makeover) has a book called "Consumers guide to ingredients" from Mary Kay (not the book we all can get at the store) they it will have al of the products and all of their ingredients and the REAL names. The consultant can also go to their InTouch website, go to Product Knowledge, select...
  10. Oh man, I totally know what you are saying! I was on antidepressants for YEARS (Lexapro, Celexa, Prozac, Zoloft, even Lithium at one point) and those would make me anxious, so they would put me on more meds (Ativan, Xanax, etc) but I always felt like crap! All the time! After going gluten free, I feel amazing! No more meds here!! I also used to be on...
  11. I hope that your experience is like Tiffany's, but just to share my experience with it. My husband took it for a month and got the most terrible mood swings. When he stopped taking it, they went away (and it did *something* for his headaches, he said, but it wasn't worth feeling out of control of his moods). Just wanted to give you another story. I do...
  12. I do not have a latex allergy, but my skin gets really p*ssed when I use bandaids, because of the "glue" they use. I would suggest getting some latex-free bandaids and see if you have the same reaction. If so, then it is probably the glue. Just get a couple, and put them somewhere, like the inside of your forearm, for several hours. See what kind of reaction...
  13. I think that is great!! You might want to look at My Own Meals. They are already cooked, and you just pop them in a mivrowave (and you don't have to freeze or refrigerate them!!). Check out the MyOwnMeals.com website for the 5 flavors that are gluten free, and then buy from Amazon or gluten free.com because they are cheaper and you can order individual ones...
  14. I also had a great experience there! Glad to know this is a trend....
  15. This is disgusting, but it actually happens in military towns a lot. I have no idea why... I have personally seen 3 of mine "fly" off in strange wind gusts, so I think that happens more often than theives...but I also know someone who got mad when she saw an upside down flag on someones car, so she took it. When she told me about it, I explained that the...
  16. I kinda understand what you are going through. I was on the pill for 7 years, and going off has been a pain in the @ss. I would recomend seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist. I saw one last friday and he really helped me map out a plan for getting pregnant. They are the doc that would do Invitro, if it came down to that, so I decided to go straight to the...
  17. When I have them, which isn't often, I like Pamela's. But I have only tried Pamela's and some other one, and I can't remember the name of the other one, but it was dense, so I went back to Pamela's.
  18. Welcome! Yes, your symptoms look like some I have seen before! I had terrible GERD (acid reflex) until I went gluten free! I was on THREE medications for it! And it is totally gone now that I am gluten free. And I think your doctors advice is very interesting. Off of all gluten and sugars? That is what I am doing now, the sugar free part that it...
  19. I just want to give you another point of view. I never gave up dairy when I went gluten free. I have had some constipation problems, and I wonder if that was why. But other than that, I am ok. I have read that when the "gut" heals from the gluten-damage, then people who have casien problems can handle it better, so I always thought I would be fine. And I...
  20. I know this might sound stupid, but when I looked at your pictures, my eyes welled up with tears! I think it is so great to see gluten-free food like that so you can enjoy disney!!!
  21. Yeah, I heard about that on the news today and thought about this thread!! She DIED from drinking 2 gallons of water!!! They called it "water intoxication" in the news story. Weird.....
  22. Have you done a search on this website for "Steak N shake"? I remember someone posting a list from them, but I don't remember who or when (I just know that I printed it out ! ) I have had their chilli. I actually had it in french fries, but that was in MO, and they had a dedicated fryer, and I don't know if that is everywhere.....try a search....sorry...
  23. I don't have IC. Wish I could help. I used to get UTI's ALL the time, but oddly, when I went gluten-free, I stopped getting them! I haven't had one in atleast 8 months. I used to get them every 2 or 3. I am sorry, but I am not fimular with the IC diet...are you celiac? I wish I could help!
  24. JUST BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE (did I type that big enough?? LOL) I went gluten free (largely based on my DOC saying soemthing VERY SIMULAR to yours) and then had enterolab testing. I am satisfied with those tests, but later, my doc wanted to do more bloodwork. I had been gluten-free for a month, and they were "negative". I wish I would have done all of the...
