  1. I hate to sound like a harpie, but like I posted before, I have eaten at Outback almost 3 times a week for the last year. The managers make my salad, fresh, no crouton pieces. I get just lettuce, and tomato, and dressing on the side (fresh from the walk-in, not from the line, so there is no chance crouton crumbs could have fallen in during the day). The...
  2. I am sorry about your experience, BUT the cheese at Outback is gluten free, IF they were careful and there were no crouton pieces. Their menu was combed through by GIG and every ingredient was checked for things that might contain hidden gluten. I think it is more likely that there were crouton pieces in your salad, but even then, two bites in (?) I don't...
  3. Yeah, I really do...and woohoo! Good for you! *I* think you will like it! Thanks for sharing, that is really good to know! I have found simular info on the web, so I am not going to worry. For all I know, I had them all the time, and just didn't have them the last 2 months that I have been charting, and so this is "normal" for me to have them...
  4. I agree! Short and Sweet! Enough to get people thinking and asking questions!
  5. Its on! Hope you are watching!
  6. Yeah, and I really really advocate this method (and thanks for the help carla!). I feel so much better about my body without all of the hormones messing things up.....and *knowing* my cervix makes me feel more in control. Natural Family Planning/Fertility Awareness Method has been really neat to learn about (I got the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility...
  7. I am almond intolerant (among 20 food intolerances) along with celiac disease.
  8. Yup! I have pernicious anemia. I was absorbing a good amount of B12 after going gluten-free, but then it teetered off, and I am back to the sublingual tablets. I used the shots for years, and got tired of them. You daughter might enjoy the sublingual tablets more than the injections. Pernicious Anemia is believed to be genetic, and is "life long" though...
  9. Richard (and several others, I just remember his) is right, at Outback in the US the worcestershire sauce in the Ceaser is L&P and it is gluten-free. I was just on the phone with corporate office (OSI) a couple of days ago because EVERYTIME I get ceaser at Outback, I get sick. I couldn't figure it out. He (the guy a corporate) wouldn't give me the details...
  10. Thats what I use, with the yellow top, and I get it at HEB.
  11. (I LOVE your pic Mouse, it always cracks me up!) Ditto! I have floaters too, and they seem thinner/fewer when my BP stays low and I am "chilled out". I hope you are done with your three bad things in a row, and you can relax now!
  12. I have been gluten-free about a year, and my "glutened" responses are not easier, but I can notice them earlier, and know when they are coming. I have it down to a little bit of a personal science (what I notice first, and what will come next).
  13. I really didn't like it, but I have talked to other people who enjoyed it. I thought the "crust" was too crunchy/grainy tasting. Oh well, I am not a huge pizza fan, so I can do without....
  14. Me too! But beware, they go bad really fast if you don't eat them quickly! Mine got really hard in 2 days (after opening the plastic) but I did have them in a sandwich baggie....when I mentioned it to someone at Whole Foods, they said it was because there are no preservatives.
  15. Yeah, usually just send them an email that says "I want to subscribe" And I got an email about it too! I am so watching it! It comes on at 5:30 here (Texas). You can check at www.tvguide.com for your local time/channel!
  16. From what I have read, it is VERY common to have multiple food allergies/intolerances if you have ONE. I have celiac disease and other "intolerances" that give me headaches or stomach pains. I think you are going the right route seeing the allergist. But keep in mind that sometimes you just have to watch the reaction after she eats certian foods. Some things...
  17. I agree with Momma Goose, it could be anything. I can't really diagnose you either, but I can say that once I started eating gluten-free my abdominal pain went away for the most part. I am unsure if you are male or female, but if you are female, be sure you are looking at gyn-type stuff.....
  18. Had an ob/gyn appointment today. I suspected a cervical cyst, because I do NFP/FAM and check my cervical position every day. I felt a new, hard, strange bump on my cervix, but my books say that is normal and not to be alarmed. Anyway, my doc brought it up in the appointment and said (during a sonogram of my ovaries to check on strange pain...) that...
  19. My hubby thought my stomach problems were "just a part of me" when we got married. He loved me, so he would deal with the stomach problems. When he noticed how much better I felt gluten-free, he was really supportive. Our house is gluten-free. He eat gluten if we go out to dinner, but he is really careful, and he brushes his teeth before we kiss, because...
  20. No, call. Never assume. They get busy and papers get mis-placed. I would call! That is just me.....
  21. Lisa, I am sorry for your loss. I hope that with time, you don't feel the rush of sadness on this date.
  22. Welcome Cody! Just wanted to say HI! I am one of the few that felt better almost over night after going gluten-free. And it will get easier, as you learn what to look for on labels, and then eventually you get used to a product and you trust it (still checking every now and then b/c companies will change things from time to time). This board is great...
  23. Open Original Shared Link This site says it is gluten free (look at the VERY last line on the page). And I looked at a bouple of other sites and most suggested potato starch was the starch normally used.
  24. Hi lawstudent! I have the same gain/not loss symptoms and thought my primary would be like that and he wasn't, so maybe there is still hope. I HATE to say this, because I hate to do it, but perhaps you could try to manuplate the situation a little bit. When you go in, ask about food intolerances. Ask questions, instead of showing things you found. I know...
