I think you'd be correct if legalizing marijuana made it as available as alcohol. IMO, alcohol should be illegal, but not marijuana. Why? Because I've never heard any good reasons for drinking alcohol. It too is a "recreational drug". It offers no medicinal uses. It has no benefits whatsoever. Many members have commented on how much a B12 supplement helps them even when tests suggest their level to be normal. There is no known toxicity level for B12, so it cannot hurt to try it and see if it helps. Just be sure to get a sublingual methylcobalamin type, as that has been proven to be as effective as shots. -

Yes, according to Wikipedia: I recall having ordinary fruit juice pops as a kid. We'd take an ice cube try, fill it with juice, cover it with plastic wrap, and push popsicle sticks down through. Eventually we actually had a set of plastic ice pop makers, designed especially for making homemade ice pops.

I don't know for certain, but according to the USDA, the amount of glutamic acid doesn't appear out of the ordinary. Whether there is free glutamic acid is another matter.

Well, if it's fiber you want, you might try coconut flour. It appears to have more fiber than flaxseed meal according to the info I've seen. IMHO coconut does go well in breads and such.

Actually, after discussing it with Bob's Red Mill customer service, they are sending new ones. They tell me the shelf life should be at least a few months at room temp. I also got some of a different brand, and they do not have such a strong odor. There is a smell, but not anywhere near what the bad ones smell like. So for those who find the odor to be rather... -

I've basically concluded that both flours have spoiled, even though I haven't had them very long at all. I suppose they must have been on the store shelf too long or something. The smell doesn't go away when baked either. The taste is just as gross. There's no way this can be normal. Truly putrid in every sense of the word. -

I would also echo the comments made thus far. It truly does get easier, and you won't feel nearly as bad about having to avoid certain foods. I checked the kinnikinnick site, and I didn't see pea protein among their products. However, they do list "Pea Hull Fibre". Is that what you have? If it's fiber you want, I believe Coconut Flour has about the most fiber of any flour I've seen. Green Pea Flour does have a lot of protein and fiber though, with Fava Bean Flour as a close second. Besides the fine suggestion which Momma Goose has given, what comes to mind for me is to put up an announcement in the local health food store(s). Surely that would be the kind of place a Celiac is more likely to be found. Whether they have a bulletin board or not, perhaps they'll allow a "poster" of sorts on the front face of the checkout counter/cash register...

One way to find out would be to avoid all dairy for a few weeks, then try some and see how it goes. I wouldn't think it should take very much dairy to cause a noticeable reaction if it's the cause of the symptoms you describe. So hopefully you won't need to have very much, and any symptoms might then be manageable, yet definitive.

As dally099 said, not everyone will have an immediate and profound change. That's true for when going gluten-free, and when challenging it later. It took six months gluten-free before I saw any really noticeable change. One item on your list which stands out to me is the canola oil. Many have posted about having issues with that.
