  2. I just happened to notice there's some vegetarian/gluten-free info. and recipes on www.glutenfreeda.com I haven't read it yet myself but I thought maybe the veggie folks on here would want to check it out.
  3. You apparantly also have to run the spyware programs when your computer is in safe mode. Otherwise they don't actually work. Someone told me that once and I never would have known.
  4. I'm gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free. I do eat eggs, but I don't like meat. I cook a lot with lentils. Go to a great health food store or farmer's market and find new fruits and veggies you've never tried before. You also might want to pick up a raw foods cookbook. Might give you some ideas.
  5. I really like Ian's, but I think I'm a minority here. I tried Wellshire, and the flavor was great, but the chicken was dark and spongy. Grossed me out a bit. I usually add my own spices to Ian's to make them more flavorful. I don't buy them often but every once in a while they make a quick convenient, yummy dinner.
  6. Here are some interesting perspectives on vegetarianism Open Original Shared Link
  7. Your family sounds like mine! I cannot have gluten, dairy or soy My mom cannot have eggs My dad cannot have dairy, gluten or nightshades My brother cannot have dairy My sister cannot have nuts Surprisingly, we eat plenty of amazing food together!
  8. I've come to understand that even though I've never been tested for Celiac Disease, extremely positive response to the dietary change is a valid reason to not eat gluten. I also learned to check my shampoos etc. for wheat and I learned all about great products such as Gluten-Free Savoniere, Bare Minerals, Badger Balm...(strange how all sorts of skin problems...
  9. You can try glutenfreedrugs.com Sometimes soaking in a bath with Epsom salts can be helpful for aching muscles as well.
  10. You might want to try camomile tea. Anything with ginger can be helpful as well.
  11. Thanks Michael for finding all that out! Sorry if my post made anyone worry too much about produce
  12. Yep that was me Definitley be careful with your gluten experiement Vincent Hope it works out okay.
  13. I tape them.
  14. Yes, bagels are generally DF (check ingredients - but I ate them allll the time when I was only DF).
  15. You should eat some really yummy bagels (I can't believe I'm advising someone to eat bagels!). The flour in bagels is supposedly really really gluteny.
  16. I don't think anyone's ever died from *not* eating gluten . Whatever you say to them will probably cause the next most typical response - "Well you can have a *little bit* right? I don't think a *little* gluten will hurt you." Very typical reactions of the non-celiacs. I don't say much at all, because most people are just incapable of understanding...
  17. I've found something called Parma that was actually really good. Open Original Shared Link It's made out of raw organic walnuts, nutritional yeast and celtic sea salt. There's also gluten-free versions of Chreese, a product with very mixed reviews. I actually like the Mac and Chreese. A lot of people will tell you they don't though. www.chreese...
  18. I finally found the name of those raw food vegan, gluten-free cheesecakes I was talking about earlier in this thread. They're made by a company called Earth Cafe. www.earthcafeonline.com It looks like you can order them online but I've seen them for sale by the slice at many different health food stores and vegan restaruants in a few different cities...
  19. Trinkadicka? LOL The funniest part is most people will know exactly what you mean....and it's a good idea!
  20. Hmmm...I was kinda under the impression that organic produce doesn't generally have waxy coatings. I stand corrected The article definitely seemed to imply that though, and the organic stuff I buy doesn't seem to be waxy. I would have to think that the standards for the wax on organic produce would be different. Doing a quick search didn't seem to give...
  21. I'm totally in favor of this idea!
  22. I was wondering the same thing about apples. I would think anything with a waxy coating could pose a problem.
  23. Wow that sounds pretty horrible. It's so frustrating that a product that says gluten-free all over the package would cause problems like that, especially when it's just a single-ingredient item like flax meal. That's really really annoying.
  24. I'm not doubting the CC issue with Bob's (at all whatsoever), but do some people just react strongly to flax seeds?
  25. I made some muffins with Bob's flax meal last week and I've eaten a ton of them and have had absolutely no problems. If I understand correctly, I think you should make sure the bag you buy has the little gluten-free symbol and the note that says it comes from a batch that was tested for gluten. I've never tried Nature's Path though (or any other kind of...
