  1. Thanks! I was using Tom's of Main apricot scented stick. Maybe I'll try the roll-on. And yeah, that does seem to happen to me with the Dove too. Interesting...
  2. Dove is my favorite brand but I hate putting all that aluminum and other junk on my skin. The crystal stick absolutely does not work for me and Tom's of Main rips up my skin. Does anyone have any recommendations?
  3. For protein you can try hard boiled eggs (easily portable), peanut butter, almond butter, nuts, seeds, lentils, beans, meat.... It's possible that coffee bothers you now that you've cut out dairy (or you're now noticing that it bothers you). It could be the cause of all the shakiness etc. You might try cutting that out and see what happens. Just drink...
  4. Yes, I had pho with just rice noodles, broth and veggies and it made me SICK. They assured me there was no soy sauce or anything like that. I have no idea what it was...
  5. That's great, especially since I'm almost done with an entire box of chocolate chunk cookies I bought just yesterday
  6. The millet post just randomly reminded me that I bought a bag of Teff a while back. Does anyone eat this? Is it a grain that celiacs can commonly react to (even though it "safe")? Any tips on how to cook it? etc etc?
  7. Here's another close thing to a gronola bar Open Original Shared Link
  8. Rubios Health Mex chicken taco combo. I wish it was something like french bread or a soft pretzel...but I don't remember the last time I ate real bread.
  9. Sharkies chews, Clif Nectar Bars, Organic Food Bars, Go Raw Bars, Alpsnak bars...
  10. What kinds of foods does he like to eat? There are lots of great kid-friendly substitutes out there.
  11. Hi - you should start by eliminating all gluten from your diet. If you still have some symptoms, you could have some additional intolerances to other things, such as dairy, corn or soy.
  12. I believe they're allowed to say soy free, even if something contains lecithin, because most people with soy allergies don't react to lecithin. I'm not sure if there's another type of lecithin though.
  13. I'm starting to wonder if the main storyline isn't actually going to be about Celiac. Maybe it'll just tie into one of the subplots...like a girl walks in with a stomach ache and House tells her to stop eating gluten. the end. lol. I hope it's not something like that but you never know..
  14. Thanks for the recipe. I'm definitely going to try it too.
  15. I guess you're now AF for the time being...something new to add to your signature Hope the problem doesn't last for long.
  16. Not from a gluten perspective. Splenda and aspartame can be pretty bad from some other perspectives though Glee gum is "all natural" and does not contain those things. It does have lecithin in it though. Ingredients: CANE SUGAR, GLUCOSE, GUMBASE (CONTAINS NATURAL CHICLE), RICE SYRUP, GUM ARABIC, PEPPERMINT OIL, RESINOUS GLAZE, LECITHIN, BEESWAX...
  17. I definitely agree!
  18. Yum. I wonder if this would work without all the cheese...
  19. Just like anything else, if you eat too much of a specific fruit or veggie, you can develop a temporary intolerance to it. You might have to stay apple-free for a little while before you start eating them again. But I also agree with the coffee thing...
  20. Arrowhead Mills pancake mix Cause You Special Mixes (really good!!!!!!!!) Chebe pizza crust, foccacia (spelling?) and breadsticks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I'm also a little bit confused about this statement. I never found a doctor who would test me for celiac disease, but when I eat gluten I have constant D, depression, severe muscle pain, headaches, bloating, skin problems etc. etc. etc. Knowing that for a fact is enough for me to claim gluten intolerance and stick to the diet. I might have celiac disease...
  22. I've heard of some people taking Energ bread on vacation because it doesn't need to be frozen. I'd just pack a big cooler with as much stuff as you can. Have fun!
  23. Ooh I love that stuff too. I cut it in half and bake it for about 30 minutes. It's really good.
  24. Hi! I'm moving from San Diego to Sydney in July and I can't wait to check out your Tea House!
