  1. Thanks guys! Sorry to hear that others have had issues with those products as well. I will definitely be steering clear of them now. It is a shame b/c they are pretty tasty!
  2. Let me start off by saying that I know I have intolerances to onions, garlic, soy & milk/lactose in addition to gluten. The night before last I ate an Amy's frozen meal (Enchilada Bowl or something like that) and it did have onions, garlic and soy in it. I knew that it would probably upset my system a tiny bit, but I was NOT prepared for the way I felt...
  3. Sorry you aren't feeling well! Where on the left side was your pain? Was it lower or higher? Did you eat something that you think may have had gluten in it? It sounds like it could have been intestinal cramping, but could have been an ovarian cyst too. I have had one burst and it sounds much like you described. It would be seen by US, but if it burst...
  4. Sorry you are not feeling well! It could just be your body is still healing. I know that I have had some weeks like that where I couldn't pinpoint what the issue was and then the next week was better. For what it is worth, my old gastro told me that Gas X was worthless for intestinal gas....so maybe that is why you aren't getting total relief? Are you...
  5. No onions for me either. They kill me! Raw are the worst, especially the red ones. I once ate a tiny piece of a red onion and had such bad cramping and D that I almost went to the hospital! I won't even eat them cooked. I can't do garlic either. Powders of both are out too. I eat very bland food here! LOL!
  6. I got some the other day too and used some on my grits...YUM!! Can't wait to make Mac & Cheese tomorrow with my Tinkyada pasta shells! Edited to add THANK YOU to Nisla!
  7. I have not been diganosed with hypoglycemia, but do get the dizzy/sweaty/tingly feeling usually in the AM about 3 hours after breakfast. I was tested about 6 years back, but my fasting blood sugar level was fine...it is after I eat that I have the issue. It is getting better gluten-free, but it is still an issue on some days. Orange juice is a quick fix...
  8. Editing b/c I am a moron and didn't see that you couldn't call b/c it is Sat! I hope someone here has an answer for you. Sorry!~ Good luck!
  9. Thanks for the responses guys!! I love this stuff so much I had 3 pieces yesterday! LOL!
  10. I am with you on the sub....my sister went to Subway yesterday and I told her I was going to live vicariously through her. I did make some good bread yesterday though that has me satisfied for now.
  11. This seems to happen to me to. Last week was a bad week, this week is much better. I agree about it being part of the healing process. I know that I also have other food intolerances that could be part of my problem. Hope you feel better soon!
  12. First, WOW!!! This bread is amazing!! It tastes like my Grandmother's homemade bread!!! DS loves it and doesn't even have to eat gluten-free! He asked me tonight if he could go gluten-free b/c I get to eat all the good stuff (bread, Gluten Free Pantry brownies, cookies, Kinnickinnick donuts) LOL!! Second, how long will the bread keep in a ziplock...
  13. I use Lactaid Ultra when I eat things with cheese (love cheese and can't seem to part with it). I don't go as far as to drink a glass of milk or eat yogurt or ice cream though. It does appear to work well for me with the cheese.
  14. Awesome!!! Sounds great! Your link doesn't work for me...it says URL is not found
  15. They turned out wonderfully!!!! The kids (who don't have to eat gluten-free) loved them, as did the rest of the family! My Step Dad had 4 or 5 of them! Here is the recipe: 3/4 c granulated sugar 3/4 c brown sugar 2 sticks of butter (melted) 1 large egg 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/4 cup gluten-free flour (I used Bob's Red Mill All purpose) 1 tsp Xanthan...
  16. That sounds amazing! I love quiche!
  17. Another fan of those donuts here...YUM!!!! I just had one last night!
  18. I don't think you are being too sensitive at all. This is nothing to take lightly and is more complicated than your family understands. If you do test positive, maybe give them some material to read or educate them on foods you can and can't have. My Mom/Dad are super supportive, as is DH. My sister, on the other hand, wasn't at first and is still...
  19. Another teeth grinder here. I have done this since I was a child...DS does it now too. I have worn down teeth, but not broken any so far. My newest dentist says I have TMJ too. I don't think I could wear the mouth guard....it would gag me. Kim

    ARCHIVED Ovarian Cyst

I have had one rupture too and the pain was severe when it happened...stopped me in my tracks and then it was just sore for a few days after that. I do get them from time to time now, but have never had another one rupture. My gyn said some will go away without rupturing. Hope you feel better soon! Kim
  21. I was getting my hair cut/colored and my hair guy was asking if I had tried a new sub that a local restaurant carries...I told him that I couldn't eat bread and went on about Celiac/gluten intolerance a little and the hair dresser guy in the next booth came running over and said "HEY! Do you have Celiac?" LOL!! Apparently his brother does and was very...
  22. Hope you feel better soon!! I can't tolerate dairy right now either and can't wait until I can again. (hopefully that happens). I get the same symptoms....severe bloating, pain and sometimes D if I eat or drink enough. I can have small amounts of cheese if I take Lactaid with my meal, but I don't push it by eating too much. I tried to drink an 8 oz glass...
  23. I do gluten-free waffles, gluten-free bagels with PB & jelly, eggs or omlettes with veggie cheese, grits with veggie cheese or plain and sometimes gluten-free doughnuts (occasional treat). I also have a large glass of calcium & vitamin D fortified OJ. You could make pancakes and add blueberries or other fruit, nuts or DF chocolate chips. Pamela...
  24. Wow.....sorry you didn't get a lot of answers. I give you a lot of credit for hearing her out. It really is a shame that she didn't research more knowing that you had Celiac and when your appt. with her was. I hope that you see an improvement. I would see if you can find someone who is a little more familiar with Celiac and the other intolerances. I...
  25. Some flavored coffee is gluten-free, some isn't. I did some investigating when I first went gluten-free 6 weeks ago, b/c I LOVE hazelnut coffee. I found out that Millstone coffees are ALL gluten-free. Seattle's Best is NOT gluten-free. Folgers (Millstone) is also gluten-free. If you are concerned about a certain brand, email them to see if they can help...
