  1. I eat the Envirokids bars too and react to the soy in them. Oh, forgot, I eat the Ener-g pretzels and have no problems.
  2. I eat Van's Gluten-free waffles everyday for breakfast and have never had a problem. They have plain, blueberry, apple cinnamon and flax.
  3. At my store it is by the parmasen cheese. It ROCKS! LOL!!
  4. I would definitely do the skin biopsy first. Less expensive and much less invasive. Glad you found this board. I have learned more from these folks then from any dr that I have seen. Welcome!
  5. I would be very concerned about the natural and artificial flavors having barley in them. I have run into this quite a bit lately. To be safe, you may want to wait for their list. If you like sherbert/sorbet, Ben & Jerry's makes some good ones. I found Berried Treasure and Jamiacan Me Crazy (pineapple) at my local grocery store.
  6. My reactions to soy are much like the ones I have to gluten and lactose....gi....extreme gas and pain and sometimes consitipation, someimtes D. I only found this out when drinking soy milk to try to make up for not drinking cow's milk. I can tolerate some soy in baked products or chocolate in very small amounts.
  7. Love Tinkyada and so does my son (who is not gluten-free yet). I make mac & cheese with the Kraft can of mac & cheese powder and it tastes just like the stuff from the box...YUM!! DS had 3 bowls the other night! DD won't touch it, but she hasn't even tasted it (she is 3.5). If it doesn't look like Kraft Mac & Cheese, she wont' touch it...
  8. Thanks for the update!
  9. I haven't seen them, but I haven't really looked either. I am going to Wal-mart later on today, I'll check and let you know if I see any.
  10. Glad I could help!! I know that for me it is only $6.96 for a 30 day supply here in Ohio.....can't beat that!
  11. Also, the generic from Wal-mart, Loratidine, is also gluten-free. I called and verified this just a month or so ago.
  12. I just used these as a crust in a cheesecake over the weekend....WOW!!! Awesome!
  13. I love the mix from The Gluten-free Pantry for their favorite sandwich bread. It is easy to make and the closest to real bread that I have had.
  14. Wow...that does sound like a dream! I hope that we catch up here soon.
  15. Maybe you could do gluten-free/df first for a few months and then evaluate how you feel? That way it is not so extreme and you may not need to go as far as the SCD diet. If the gluten-free/df doesn't seem to be working, then maybe you can progress to the SCD diet to see if that helps. (((HUGS)))
  16. (((((HUGS))))) I don't know much about the SCD diet. Can you eat a snack or head to the store to stock up on stuff that you can eat? Hang in there!
  17. Here is a link to their gluten-free info. The buttermilk ranch is very good. Open Original Shared Link HTH!
  18. Thanks for sharing your experience with them. I have gone back and forth on whether or not to order these and hadn't made up my mind. I don't eat out that much and if I do, I try to go to PF Changs, Outback or Red Robin. We are going on vacation in 3 weeks, though, and I am bound to run into a restaurant or 2 where these will come in very handy. Thank...
  19. I have eaten at Chick-fil-a several times since going gluten-free and have had all good experiences. I usually eat the chargrilled chicken salad with Buttermilk Ranch dressing and sometimes I will have the waffle fries too. I haven't had any ill effects from eating there. It is nice to know that there is a place that I can grab something quick if I have...
  20. That is great news! I am interested to hear about the food intolerance testing and leaky gut as well.
  21. Hope that he is feeling better today! There is nothing worse than a puking toddler.
  22. I made gluten-free lasagna (with Debole's no-cook rice noodles and Classico 4 cheese sauce), green beans and salad. Then for dessert we had chocolate cupcakes (Namaste with Cherrybrook kicthen frosting) and my Mom made a gluten-free Pistachio Cheesecake....it was amazing. She made changes to make it gluten-free and it is better that way...everyone agreed...
  23. Aunt Jemima Original is gluten-free, not sure about the Sugar Free version. If it is, it could be the artificial sweetner you are reacting to. I know that I have a problem with splenda and nutrasweet. I am going to give 100% pure maple syrup a try once I run out of this bottle of AJ.
  24. I do use a bread machine, but you don't have to. I bought a bread machine soon after I went gluten-free b/c it was just easier for me. There are plenty of people here that have posted about this bread that don't use a bread machine. Good luck!
