  1. It is fall in the north but in PA it is 80's today...strange. Last few winters have started in Jan or later. Watch it snow this year on my wedding day!
  2. The fresh veggies and eggs should be good. What items say gluten free? Are they items tou bought today at your store? Some grocery stores label gluten free on their products. Walmart's Great Value brand and also Wegmans both label their store brands.
  3. I don't think I would take it either. I would call your dr and see if he could suggest something else in its place. Sounds like you are having a reaction of some sorts.
  4. My coworker actually has an orange haired troll on her desk right now. I keep walking by it, and I am cracking up and yet no one can figure why....they must think I am crazy (which they would not be wrong about)
  5. Thanks for the tip, maybe we will take a gander to the Costco's this weekend. I like that store better than Sam's club.
  6. I second this site, very helpful.
  7. I also say if there is a fever see a dr. If you do not think anything else can be to blame I would also give the pain relievers.
  8. How about Goodness Gluten Free Goodies
  9. LOL! This cheered me up...work is nuts these days
  10. Donna, So sorry to hear you are going through this. Sometimes, I am not sure John fully gets it either. He tries though. I hope he begins to understand. Is there a way you could sit down and tell him how you feel? Sharing your feelings might help him a bit.
  11. Good point Jessica. It might confuse a lot of new celiacs or parents of new celiac children.
  12. Ohhh Thanks! I miss oatmeal cookies and John loves them. I will try making these this coming weekend.

  14. I didn't see the show, but John's cousin who is 11 has downs syndrome and autism--recently diagnosed in the last few years. One thing they mentioned to her mother about autism was a gluten free diet. It was real nice to talk to her when we first met, we had something in common to talk about. Amy (the little girl) is the sweetest girl you would ever meet,...
  15. Wow! good find. Thanks for the info.
  16. Julie-I understand, currently John and I rent....but rent is high and we are looking for a home of our own. We are getting married in a few weeks and it is time for a "home". Well all the ones in our price range that will fit our needs are in the worst areas. I just wish it was easier. I did hear they were lowering the interest rates today...I know in our...
  17. That sounds like a very nice time out. I am only gluten free and I know how hard it is to find just a gluten free meal sometimes. I am so impressed you were able to find something that you were able to eat but did not get sick. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Hey Steve, It has been awhile Hope you like the new job. It is always a nice change of scenery.
  19. Annika always has the cutest expressions. Good to hear from you Angie!
  20. Thanks for the info, I will remember that next time I am feeling the diner temptation come on.
  21. I buy Kraft marshmallows too, and have no problems. Kraft is very good with their labeling.
  22. In the beginning things are very overwhelming, not only are you still feeling real sick but just trying to grasp all that new information is hard. Plus you have other things going on in your life aside from the celiac stuff. Once you are on the diet for a little time (it varies person to person) you will start feeling better and once that happens everything...
  23. Well, good to hear about the sprue!!! That is great news. The other news, although not great it could be much worse and it seems like everything will be taken care of. My sisters Iron wouldn't register either and she was on iron pills and they were high dose since she was pregnant. It was very scary with her for a few weeks.
  24. Hi Liz, Sorry to hear about your aunt and the glutening. I always forget about the deli trays so thanks for the reminder. Ps-I would be crossing my fingers too on the flight
