  3. Supposedly, it is supposed to calm down for the weekend....I am hoping. The heat has brought some ugly storms too!
  4. We are always hoping to have some publicity for celiac so people can learn....we do not need her negative thoughts on it. How would she like it if someone pointed out her infertility problems...it's personal and in my opinion so is celiac. After the initial diagnosis, lets face it, the next few weeks months (transitional phase) is very emotional.....I am...
  5. Hi Everyone, just wanted to let you know I had a great dinner at Chili's tonight! I took along a copy of the gluten free menu I got off their website. My waitress was great. Everything came out perfectly. I got a bacon burger with no bun and loaded mashed potatoes. Chilis does not have baked potatoes. My waitress said they had quite a few people with gluten...
  6. I have to say aside from the food poisioning and the downpours that lasted the rest of the night, this was a great birthday!
  7. Thanks Everyone! we have all made the conclusion at work we got food poisioning, tonight I am feeling much better. We were all pretty good after 2:30-3 the trips to the bathroom slowed and ceased for most of us. It bothers me since I always felt safe at Issac's gluten wise, now I will probably think twice about going there. Something went wrong. I have never...
  8. I always heard there was, so I use a glue stick to do all my work mailing and at home we have the ones that seal with out licking.
  9. So today I choose Issac's to have my birthday lunch today at work. I have ate there with success many time. So I had my usual salad and everyone else had sandwiches. I was sick within 30 minutes of coming back to work. I assumed CC. Well, after a trip to the bathroom my cubie mate tells me she feels horrible and was going down to the bathroom. I was having...
  10. I am so sorry to hear this. Everyone does have hard time though. We are all here for you. If you ever just need someone to talk to, feel free to PM me. I am also kind of going through the same thing.
  11. I eat them on occasion but it is not often. It is pretty much up to personal choice, some people will not eat them period, some will. It's a touchy subject since everyone is different.
  12. Thank you guys!!!! My coworker, Susan made me gluten free cherry cheescake cupcakes and we are going to Issac's in Hershey for lunch. They have such great summer salads. Tonight John is taking me to Chili's.
  13. Mistakes happen to everyone, my best advice to you is that if you home is not totally gluten free which it seems it is not, you should come up with some sort of system for labeling left overs and such. It would help avoid this in the future.
  14. I have never heard of the brand of chips you are asking about but I know UTZ and Wegmans kettle chips are gluten free and both marked that way on the packaging. I always used home made frosting too.
  15. Judy I miss you when you don't post, you are always so helpful.
  16. Any time sweetie! Did they give you an idea when the labs would be back.
  17. I have never heard of this either but I am going to look up on it. Sounds different.
  18. It's fun living here except for summer when everyone is coming to the park so traffic gets a bit heavy.
  19. The only time I have problems sleeping is during the work week....I am not worried about anything but I could stay up all hours, the bad thing is I get frustrated and worked up about it and that doesn't help.
  20. Thanks for posting this. John and I are looking at maybe going to the Atlantis for our honeymoon. Your post has really excited me about choosing this spot. So what types of gluten free goodies were there, stuff we can't get here or about the same? Thanks
  21. Judy you are not a dunce! Tests are never explained to patients, I picked it up from working in a lab. Actually those tests I helped you with are sent to AML labs in Virginia. I would help prepare them. I will be glad to help you with any questions you ever have. Have a great day!
  22. Thats the one I am talking about, opens next month on the Carlisle Pike.
  23. To sum it up, the tests are mainly looking at how well you are sticking to the diet.
  24. There is one in Cape May NJ, I cannot think of the name off hand but they serve gluten free meals.
  25. I have never experienced this but I just wanted to see how you are doing. Hope things are well.
