  1. I am going to have to agree on this one. I did not have good luck finding anything at Ruby Tuesday's we could safely eat. You can always try. Locations do vary.
  2. I had FMLA before I learned I had celiac. I was in your boat, sometimes too sick to go to work. I got it because my supervisor suggested it, she knew I was trying to find out what was causing me to be sick, etc. The first time we applied HR refused it saying there was not much to go on, the 2nd time we better filled it out and my Dr explained more it was...
  3. I loved the Belle Vida last summer. Very good. I recommend the chicken parm. We also ate at the Ugly Mug. They helped me to get a meal which was fit for celiac. Great service. We ate outdoors and the weather was so nice that day. I am going to Cape May the weekend after you. I cannot wait!
  4. Hi Everyone, He is getting around slightly better today. Still a limp but attempting to play. Thanks for being here when I was down. It really helps to know I can log on and find some support from all over the world. I am very thankful for all of my friends on here. Sandy-thanks for all the good info, he tested negative for Feline Leukemia. I am glad...
  5. I fell off the wagon, early in my gluten free days. The after effects were so much worse than before I knew I had celiac. This is enough for me to not cheat. Its kinda of one of those live and learn lessons. Hope you feel better soon. By the way, my symptoms are also all GI related so I was miserble as well.
  6. Ohh, I am sorry to hear you got glutened. I don't know of anything you could do. Maybe a cup of tea? I just hope you are feeling better soon. So this is more of a warm wish response.
  7. Those donuts are good, they sell them at the gluten-free source in Dillsburg, they are pricey but worth it. People compare them to Krispy Kreme's all the time.
  8. I have had them, they were good. I believe they are sweetened with fruit juice which gives them a good flavor.
  9. Thanks Everyone, I am sitting here watching him right now. He is sleeping soundly on his favorite blanket. He has been a fighter. He was sick for a bit of time after we got him, and then I changed his diet and he is much better. Growing up, my parents took in foster children ages 0-3 years. We didn't have pets because the children came from houses with rats...
  10. We have a wonderful cat, he is going to be two soon. We had him a year, he was a stray. He really was the perfect addition to our home. We just went through a bout of sickness with him 2 weeks ago, we found out he had lost some weight and were told he may have Colitis. Another story. I had been away for a few days for other family matters. I come home and...
  11. I could benefit from some excercise. I gained a little bit since going gluten free. Enjoy the membership. Excercise is something that is good for everyone not just physically but mentally. I have a few coworkers who go to the gym and when they return they have better spirits. I am not sure if they work out all their problems or it relieves stress but they...
  12. Very Interesting. Thanks Karen.
  13. I'm there, these are great!!! I find them in the health food aisles at Giant.
  14. Yep...flip flops would be out of the question. I work with a lady who has webbed toes. She is bummed she can never wear toe socks, she never mentioned flip-flops though.
  15. Angie I am so glad to hear they held up at the races!!! The real impressive thing is they didn't get hard and tough. I know that is my biggest disappointment with all the buns I have tried so far. Friday was chilly and nasty, I was driving back to Harrisburg that night and it was a miserble drive the whole way home.
  16. I get sooo moody when I get glutened....I feel so bad for my fiance. I am a real b%$@#y person. Excuse the french I notice I have also gotten nightmares, get panic attacks. I have anxiety about my job and my coworkers. I get paranoid. I plain old hate the person I become. I still struggle with it sometimes. I also find myself with a very depressed attitude...
  17. Hi Carriefaith It sounds like a fun job you have. Dinty Moore beef stew..It is actually tasty Healthy Request Chicken and Rice soup. Canned Tuna and Chicken...you can make sandwiches or crackers. Good luck with the new job.
  18. I don't have any problems with oranges. Maybe the acid bothers him. I have a friend who cannot eat oranges because the acid makes her sick.
  19. That is interesting....I never take pills unless I am so sick I need antibotics. I was like this my whole life.
  20. Sounds like you have a very nice friend. Brownies....mmm!!!! I am sitting here at 8 am wishing I had some.
  21. Molly, Haven't seen you in awhile. I hope you are feeling much better. Its good to hear things are coming under control. Wow you do seem so busy. Nice to see you again. Amanda
  22. I missed out, who went home? I hope it wasn't Jordin.
  23. Maybe you have other allergies. Maybe you system is not ready for the cookies. When first going gluten free it is good to stick to basic things as your system starts to rebuild itself.
  24. From what I have heard from others experiences, TGI fridays is not celiac friendly. Big CC issues.
  25. I like Apollo, he and his partner look cute together.
