  1. It does sound like she is insecure or is struggling with her own self. Like you said, she is a sweet person so this does not help the situation. I would try talking to her one last time. Maybe say, I really value our friendship but it feels like a competition to me. Instead of seeing who has the bigger ring, faster car, bigger house, why don't we celebrate...
  2. Judy Have a safe trip to Cape May. Enjoy your trip there. I really wish I was there! I am jealous. You are going to have nice weather though, so I am happy for you. Let us know how it was when you get back. Amanda
  3. I have to say I never saw seperate fryers, and I know I have many times gotten onion rings in with my fries.
  4. Wow, I am glad you were able to find this out. It really is an eye-opener. I hope it does help some people who are also suffering and really do not know what direction to go in.
  5. That's odd, my support group spoke very highly about seperate pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
  6. I had this happen once, before I know I had celiac. I had ate a snack bag of pretzels and at work I was sitting in a meeting and all of a sudden I got real lightheaded and dizzy and I fell over. Now when I get glutened I get a headache, feel weak, and just want to lay down and sleep.
  7. A friend of mine has these and she really likes them.
  8. I get the Glutino crackers that look like Ritz crackers, they have a buttery taste. I liked them. If I cannot get those I get the EnerG brand as well.
  9. Thanks for the recipes.
  10. I apologize, I did not realize you were in the UK.
  11. If you have a PF Changs around your area, they have a gluten free menu and their food is very good!!!
  12. I am sorry to hear this, now that you are aware of them is there going to be some kind of treatment?
  13. It is overwhelming at first and I admit I wanted to run away from the diet but it does get easier. You have found one of the best resources ever too, the people on this board are so helpful and caring. It is like having a huge family, and they know exactly what you are going through.

    ARCHIVED Cnn

That's great!!!! I am hoping to go to the Philly cook-off, it is in June.
  15. I just wanted to say Congrats on becoming pregnant!!!! Is this your first?
  16. I am not sure if you have Boar's Head brand in Canada, I am in the US. Boar's head meats are all gluten-free if I am not mistaken, they have included that info at the deli counters.
  17. Jess, I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I really like both of the poems, but the second one really sings to me. I am not sure why. My prayers are with you and your family.
  18. Welcome Back, You are always welcome here. I was in denial for a few months as well. It comes with the territory. I think you have to hit the ground before you pick yourself up. I know that was what did it for me, I hit my lowest point, from then on out I worked hard and getting better and staying as well as I could. I think what has kept me going this...
  19. Hi lister, I know you from reading your posts, and I am always more than willing to listen and help people. Feel free to PM me, I hope this helps. How's your little kitty? They are very good animals.
  20. These sounds like my non-celiac fiance would love. He loves coconut cookies.
  21. Momma Goose has a good idea. I like salad bars and all but there is a CC risk and with your upcoming finals you would want to be extra careful. You can always call ahead and see what kind of options you have. There are a lot of managers willing to accomodate. Also if you still feel a little nervous about eating, just eat before hand and grab a drink. I know...
  22. I love doing these types of things. Walk in pantry A side by side fridge with ice maker (we rent now and have a stackable and for my gluten free foods I have no room) One of those huge 6-burner gas stoves, stainless steel. All my appliances I would prefer to be stainless steel. A double sink with a spray gun More cabinet space An island...
  23. I have to agree the first few weeks are a roller coaster ride, you have a few good than a bad day. It is nice to see some type of results in the beginning because I know when I started having normal movements within days of starting the diet, this was a flag for me to keep working at it and not to give up, this was working. Good Luck.
  24. I would be turned off from their products after I found hair too I have not had Healthy Choice soups.
  25. I use Wegmans brand pasta sauces, marked gluten free. Other than the gluten free marking, the price is better.
