  1. Well slap me silly..... I don't know if I just missed that one or what, but maybe that has some thing to do with it not working to good for me. So is there some thing else that we can use that is gluten free? Thanks, Grump
  2. Yes I have had these. While they are not cheap like every thing else we eat they are not half bad. If you are wanting fish sticks this will do it for you. I rather like them.
  3. I think it is GREAT that they are making these. But I am not really a chocolate person. Now don't get me wrong I did get some and had them and they were very good. But I wish they would make the mix with out the chocolate chips then you could put in what ever kind of chips you want. Like butterscotch, Oh well cant have every thing I guess. Grump

    ARCHIVED Taco Bell

I always loved Taco bell but gave it up years ago. So is Taco time and Taco Del Mar safe? I know we have a Taco Time here But am not sure about Taco Del Mar. If they are safe what do you eat there? Thank you, Grump
  5. I got the brownie and cookie mix last night at the Kelso Safeway. Cooked up the cookies as soon as I got home. I am not a chocolate person but these are amazing cookies. These are by far the best cookies I have ever had since going gluten free. Cant wait to try the white or yellow cake what ever it is. Grump

    ARCHIVED Kelso, Wa.

The kelso theater pub has Gluten free pizza and beer, They also serve it in the little restaurant they have next door. Down fall you have to buy the hole pizza but I guess at $12.95 it is not to bad. The beer is Green's also not a bad beer. Dont remember the price on it. So now you can go to the show and have pizza and beer. Grump
  7. This batter also makes great onion rings. I found that out when I made so much of it and have to use it for some thing. Grump
  8. This is a recipe I got out of the paper and made two or three nights ago. Although I made a hole meatloaf not the mini one's. It was really good, I also cut down on the ht sauce because the wife is a wimp, lol... SPICY MINI MEATLOAF This recipe makes enough for 4 small meatloafs; we
  9. Ok I am sure that I just did some thing wrong when I made these up. I did add more flour and they turned out great. I cooked up some of them then added some raisins to what I had left of the dough. That was really good also, then had to hide them so no one else could find them, lol. Thanks again, Grump
  10. Ok did I mess up on this or what? Is it suppose to be as runny as mine turned out. I am thinking not, I just don't see how you would get it to stay in one place long enough to cook. I am assuming I messed up? How think or runny should this dough be? Help this dough dough out, lol....... Thank you Grump
  11. Things will get better and easier as you go. Just don't give up, there is a lot of friends ( Family ) here that will help. Things are a lot better now then when I first started on it all some 10 or 11 years ago, the food is a lot better also. Good luck. Grump
  12. They are very good the next day and the day after also. My problem is getting the dang things to go into the pie pan after it is rolled out with out ripping all apart. It always sticks to the plastic wrap and or counter top. Is there a trick to this or is it just me? Grump
  13. Thank you all for the great ideas. I did try this one last night and it was real good. But I think for my taste I will have to put more of the spice's in it. Or like one of my favorite tv cooks say's kick it up a notch, BAMMM. I also has left over mix so I put it in the freezer for later use. Again thank you, Grump
  14. Does any one have a recipe for chicken coating that would taste like KFC? I would really like to have some of this flavored chicken again. Thank you, Grump
  15. I got this the other day also from my cousin. But the one she sent was not gluten free and was just a bit different. It called for 4 tablespoons of flour, and 4 tablespoons of baking cocoa. Other then that aside from the Xanthan gum it is the same. I made it for my wife as she is not gluten free, she loved it. So then I made one for myself gluten free. But...
  16. I made these last night. They are real good. But did I mess them up? After putting them in the fridge for a few hours they are still rather soft. Once they are out and on a plate they are starting to melt. What did I do wrong? Do you have to cook them for a certain length of time? Thank you, Grump
  17. Thank you for the information on that one Nutta1. I went on their web sight to take a look but am not finding any thing about it on there. Can you tell me what it is called so I can keep an eye you for it in the store. Thank you, Grump
  18. I am not sure if this would be the same for Potato Quick Bread, but when I make Bobs gluten-free bread mix I cut down the rise time by 10 minutes. Then I increase the cook time by 5 minutes. I also let it rise in a warm oven. This works very well for me and it stops the loaf's from falling once taken out of the oven. I also am using a Kitchen-aid stand mixer...
  19. Ok I am wondering, has any one tried the tacos from D.Q.? When we were down south in Oklahoma and Texas a few years ago they were serving tacos. They are just the best, to bad we cant get them up here. But we are going to be making a trip to Arkansas in October to see the kids. I would love to have some D.Q. tacos. So can any one any one tell me are they...
  20. I got this out of the paper so don't know who to give credit to. I had to change it a bit because I could not find the Praline syrup. But it was good, we had mashed potatoes and peas with it. I made a gravy using the drippings and thickened it with corn starch. Grump You can either use chicken pieces or half-chickens. ( I used chicken breast ) --Enough...
  21. Sorry I did not get back to you sooner lovetocook. We had to run up north to the kids for a few days. But the recipe lonewolf posted is the same one I have. I of course got it from her. It is very good my gluten eating kids liked it as well. Even my ex-wife thought it good although as she said it was not Mom's. But then when is any thing like what Mom made...
  22. I think the one I have I got off of here some where. I will have to see if I can find it and post it for you. But you should be able to do a search on here and find one. Forress, Grump
  23. Please I need a recipe for some easy to make Chocolate chip cookies. Thank you, Grump
  24. Here is a copy of a p.m. I got today for some one from Johnny's. Hello Grump: How are you doing today? Fine, I hope. My name is Shavonne. I am a representative of Johnny's Fine Foods. We were thrilled to see your posting a message about our gluten-free products. I am writing to clarify some information. Johnny's Fine Foods manufactures two version...
  25. I use to use Johnny's before I got sick. But then stopped using it because the big container we had of Johnny's Seasoning Salt said it had flour in it. But the little ones did not say it. Same stuff different size. So we were over at a friends house a couple nights ago. They had fixed a lamp roast and used Johnny's Seasoning on it. I did not eat it because...
