  1. Remember one thing and it'll give you courage: Mean people suck...all of the life out of you
  2. I'm not offended at people's dislike for WalMart. My university had the Walton College of Business, Bud Walton Arena, Walton Hall, Walton Honor's College, the list goes on and on. Of course, we also have the Tyson school for poultry science (for real), Tyson track center, and they take care of "Tusk" (the mascot). As you can imagine, in NW Arkansas, you have...
  3. Well said on the wheelchair bit! I hate it when people say, "well if you've been so sick for so long, why weren't you in bed all the time? why don't you look sick." Even if they've witnessed you go to the emergency room or be writhing in pain in bed. So far I've lost one friend to that line of thinking, the rest have been really supportive. It's true...
  4. The polish doesn't matter. Make sure you thoroughly wash your set before using to get all the gross industrial chemicals off!
  5. Sorry you felt cruddy All I can say is eat as much gluten as you can between now and your test!!! Keep in mind that you may never be able to eat gluten again so you have to get in all your mc nuggets and scones in while you can! That should help you stay the course of your pre-testing gluten binge. Also, I reccommend cruise bagels from room service...
  6. As a transplant from NW Arkansas, I have a loyalty to Sam's Club for my bulk buying needs, but since I no longer live in Wal-Mart monopoly land, I feel I should look into Costco. I think the last time I stepped foot in Costco was when I was little, so I don't know what's in there. From a gluten-free perspective, which do y'all prefer? TIA
  7. If it makes you feel any better, I look like stuffed sausage All I can reccommend is lots of water and green tea to control the water retention
  8. Have you had a yeast infection (which is candida) recently? You can pass the yeast infection on to your husband, and even if he doesn't have any symptoms, he can have a yeast infection also, and passes it back to you each time you have sex. I'd talk to your gynocologist about it and see what they say. It probably needs medical attention. In the meantime...
  9. Were you in the northridge earthquake in '94? It was one of the many disasters that happen around my birthday That was January 17th, my b-day is the 16th. The Gulf War started on my birthday too. For some reason, earthquakes don't scare me like storms. We drilled in cali for earthquakes, we braced. Maybe it's just because I was raised there ...
  10. It's on their gluten-free list on their website Open Original Shared Link BEWARE - Their bacon is NOT gluten-free!
  11. Eating gluten for more testing. 3 weeks down, 9 more to go
  12. Chebe is fantastic on a pizza stone! Made even easier when put on parchment first...
  13. OK, I talked my mom into going for me (I'm not in NY) She's going to call me from there, what should I have her look for?
  14. My mom doesn't believe me about the brain fog/wheat high thing . She says I wasn't like that before, but I was. It's certainly worse now. Oh well
  15. Mmmmm....Harrison..... You know, I could just eat my way from Westcott St. down to Armory Square. Start at Dorians and make my way down to Pastabilities... Of course, all of that is full of gluten
  16. True! Pignoli cookies are gluten-free by their very nature! Here's a recipe: Open Original Shared Link I personally wouldn't eat them from the bakery though because cc is a guarantee with all that loose flour flying around... Speaking of italian cookies...Does anyone know of a recipe for half moon/black & white cookies? I had a gluteny one...
  17. That makes a lot of sense. No wonder hydrocodone and other narcotics never made me feel loopy, I was already there! And right now, I'm totally there. Makes me nervous about driving home, feels like I need to sober up

    ARCHIVED Pf Changs

Hang on - is your signature true? Are you really getting married tomorrow? What the heck are you doing on the board today?
  19. *raising hand* As I eat a bunch of gluteny pretzels... I'm loopy, foggy, and have mood swings like you can't believe. I also get muscle aches. And I have trouble completing thoughts. And I throw tantrums like a 2 year old, I have trouble controlling those. I'm a very nice person off gluten I think it's because your body is so busy reacting...
  20. I thought they were a lot like eating sand. BLECH!
  21. I have the classic model, and I ride that thing HARD! The new classic ones aren't too expensive, and I think Amazon has a promotion right now for June if you spend more than $125 in housewares... Open Original Shared Link It's only $168 right now...and qualifies for free shipping!
  22. I'd have only one choice also - EAT! I'm hypoglycemic and I could either 1: not eat, throw up, get shakey, pass out, and deal with blood sugar problems all week or 2: get glutened I'd rather get glutened, but is there coke available? If there's coke available, I drink that to keep my blood sugar afloat until I got to some food. Unless that made me more...

    ARCHIVED Pf Changs

I've had that happen before, too, but not at Chang's. I was like, "steamed rice - water and rice, right?" Server: "yeah, but the chef says that's not gluten-free" Whatever.
  24. I have "petite" red blood cells, also. I had a doctor tell me that it had to do with a genetic disorder (that effects those of middle eastern descent?). That doctor was an idiot, she also tried to tell me I threw up because I was bulemic Right, that whole excruciating pain thing had nothing to do with it. But I digress... It's my understanding...
