  1. Not really an issue when they can order you to take any drug they say anyway.... there are far more potent drugs than immodium and since your purpose in the field is kill and be killed when told to do so hardly an issue. As someone posted pages ago, the military isn't a civilian job... you sign they own. Much as quite a few people might disagree...
  2. Hello Just popping my head in to say Rachel was correct and I should spend more time on silly threads, even if the title offends me it doesn't mean its not just a silly joke. In order to try and make pennance and prove to the unbleliving I can be humble and silly I respectfully ask to be put in charge of the sewage plant... somewhere my scientific...
  3. LOL ... so true.... However ... I wouldn't be so ready to trust the differences in Canadian vs American .... I tend to agree, its certainly not a transparently honest marketing plan, indeed it is widely believed in Europe (where you can variously buy "beer" and "spirits" at different ages (You can order beer in a bar at 16 in France in the presence...
  4. Wow that's a good point, its actually a legal requirement here in France for all glasses and they are meant to do it in front of you... so you can definately insist... From the fact that I don't think even whisky's and grain liquor have "much gluten" even on a bad batch washing a glass for a measure already makes this (if it was ever there) super dilute...
  5. The math looks OK for me but it still boils down to how much is too much? Its a toughy .... My problem is the studies almost always depend on villous damage... not serology as to defining "damage" ... One thing I know from personal experience is my GI reaction occurs at higher levels than my neurological one. Secondly villi repair just like aeoli...
  6. Its really down to your GP.... When I had a kidney infection mine phoned round the labs to find me one that could give me the results same day.... she's not obligated to but she's a wonderful person and that's why I keep her as my GP. I am certain if I was really ill and needed gluten-free medication she would phone the pharmacies and ask and tell...
  7. Wow... I never found a decent bread but almost every gluten-free corn tortilla is perfectly good. Indeed a hard tortilla shouldn't contain any wheat anyway... if it does its not a real corn tortilla.
  8. Yeah I see but the MD should have that info.... mine does but she usually passes the buck... she's busy but in the case of a sick child I'm sure she would.
  9. Yes and gnocci are really easy to make at home if a bit time consuming.... I usually make batches and freeze at least half... Just follow any gnocci recipe and use a light gluten-free flour and optionally a little xanthan gum.... Its not something you can run home and make .. boiling the pots takes ages and letting em cool a while but once you...
  10. I would worry about the caramel color in Amaretto but I can probably find out on the Italian site... they are very good for lists Strawberry Daquiri .... is certainly possible....but you need to check the ingredients. Basically it SHOULD BE rum, lemon juice, strawberries and sugar what you need to watch is the bartender doing something fancy...
  11. aha... you're the missing link ...
  12. I think your probably correct..... Still you knew what I meant ... now everyone else can too ... Hold on.. if unagi is fish what is eel? Where's my girlfriend when I need her... (she's the one speaks Japanese)...
  13. AHHHH I totally understand..... Its when someone makes a big thing about "making an effort" and totally forgets you .... I used to get this all the time at my old company.... hey FREE BEER.... I can't drink beer can I have something else, maybe just a sprite? NO.... GRRRRGRRRR
  14. My suggestions are that the jury is out on any grain based liquor .... simply not worth the risk on a regular basis. Some people do and manage? Some ciders but boy I get sick.... Coke/Pepsi are meant to be OK from a celiac disease POV... obviously they are not healthy.... but then neither is a night on the town What I do is stick to white...
  15. Basically I just made soap. Saponification: Alkaline hydrolysis of a fat or oil and a messy glycerol. Probably the presence of the dishwasher salts did nothing to make this a clean reaction....
  16. Sealed with gluten, never heard of but casein (milk protein) is a common woodglue and many celaics are also casein intolerant... Not saying you're wrong but I think you could have mixed up the two?
  17. Well that hose certainly sucked and I can't beat it but came close.... About 10 yrs ago I was in Malaysia and took a break off in Penang .. while I was there I thought water skiing looked fun... No need for wetsuits the tropical water was lovely and warm... So first off I didn't quite get the deal, I had heard of similar ones where you get three falls...
  18. Than I guess that makes two of us.... lucky for me I'm already intensely disliked by some so what the heck... Well I'd still say they need restesting as they get older if negative but by then it shouldn't be such an issue.... Whilst being unpopular I'll be perfectly frank.... An 11 month old has no idea what needles are blood tests are... Blood...
  19. nah ... quite the opposite really...
  20. In the interests of science thoough by OK do you mean bland?

    ARCHIVED My Blood Tests

Just to put you at rest on the enterolab ... they do give negatives and people from here have had them.... To get restested or not...? Really that depends how good you feel on a gluten-free diet.... you gotta weigh up if you want to keep going at that's your choice... The lab coulda messed up... it happens ... but in oirder to get a valis antobody...
  22. Yeah, I used to say that too...... I didn't mean a word of it We all need those from time to time.....
  23. Hey theres always a chance they just have a tummy bug it happens and builds their immune systems. Honestly, as a son I can say this won't help them half as much as a cuddle! As a mom you know this too. Its going to happen sooner or later.... Only YOU and your hubby can decide what risks you take. Everyone takes risks ... and you shouldn...
  24. LOL, I eat sprouts but they're not something I buy for myself but then they must be firm and cooked with a little cross in the stalk.,.. Funny you mention carrots though.... Sometimes I get a batch which tastes really bitter.... they can look perfectly OK and my girlfriend pretty much hates any cooked carrot but eats them raw.... she notices no difference...
  25. I don't know about your local laws but here the prescription is considered generic (even when its named) and always has the Dr. number on. The pharmacist will either just subsititute another brand OR phone the Dr. and she gives an oral OK the pharmacist notes on the rx.... The best I found is to find the product sheet on the internet before going to fill...
