  1. I have very similar symptoms, and I have heart issues (was born with a heart murmur). I feel at times that my heart skips beats and it almost feels like my heart is dancing around in my chest in irregular patterns. Sometimes it will beat really really slow but hard, other times it will race. I do notice it races with caffeine, especially chocolate...
  2. Mango, when I got all of my mercury fillings out I went to a special kind of dentist. I can't remember what exactly his title was, it's been some time, but he was very very cautious and knowledgeable about allergies/sensitivities and auto-immune conditions. He tested substances with kiniseology before using anything that went into or around my mouth, and...
  3. Very true about impacted stool. This is a too much to share moment, but when I was getting colonics frequently to clear out my impacted stool the place I went to had a viewing tube so you could see what was on its way out. Huge amounts of stool. HUGE.
  4. Uh oh, here we go again...
  5. Thanks for the heads up Matilda. I'm really just interested in the basics like foundation, powder, and mineral veil and warmth for blush. So as long as those things are gluten free I'm good. I hope my skin will like BE, I'm crossing my fingers that I don't react adversely to it.
  6. I think all of the flavors taste great, but they make me sick too. So no more Lara Bars for me
  7. Hi Rachel, I'm so sorry you are having so much pain right now. I always have really intense pain in my ovaries (ususally one side or the other each cycle) at the time of ovulation. I was told that this is common for some women. I also was under the impression that if you get the cysts/fibroids removed they will just grow back again due to the...
  8. Yep, that's right I did order my Bare Escentuals start up kit from Sephora.com and I am so excited about it. Thanks jersey for all of your help on that!!! Floridian, I have been using Eco Bella mascara, purchased at the health food store. I seem to do ok with it, it has a very small ingredient list. Rachel's mom, so nice of you to post! Thanks...
  9. That would be hard Middle school lunches are the start to making your own food choices. Elementary school your mom either packed your lunch or there was one choice in the cafeteria for each day that everyone ate. Middle school they had like a mini food court with many things to choose from. At least it was in my school system, and that was some...
  10. Berneses, I agree with Bully4You that almond butter is gooey. Its not as thick and easy to work with like peanut butter, it's more runny. I usually get raw almond butter from Maranatha at the health food store. When you first open the jar the oil is all separated from it and you have to stir it up to mix the oil back in, but then I keep it in the fridge...
  11. Judy, omgosh, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you have a good appt. with the doctor and that everything gets better real soon.
  12. It really is so true that carrageenan is in everything, especially like you said products in the health food store. I was eating a turkey roll up EVERYDAY for lunch for 3 years in my Food For Life Brown Rice Tortillas. I made a conscious helath choice by getting the turkey at the health food store, free of nitrites and nitrates and other chemical additives...
  13. I feel the same way. I sure wish I had the internet and support/informational groups like this back in 1992 when everything started for me. Was the internet even around then, I don't even know? I have said before I don't regret a thing that has happened to get me to this point as far as health care professionals I have seen, protocols I have followed...
  14. Yes, I'm sorry jersey, having some power issues here and I couldn't get back on to edit. Also, just in general to sdore, if you take the aluminum out then you are left with just deoderant. Aluminum is the active ingredient in deoderant/antiperspirants that blocks the pores/sweat glands in your armpits keeping you dry. Someone can correct me if I am...
  15. It's just a deoderant though right? I use Kiss My Face Liquid Rock, it's a deoderant.
  16. Oh yay, sounds like it's a great place with a lot of yummy options! Thanks for sharing your Deby's Gluten Free experience Broncobux. Geesh, it took an out of towner to test out the waters of a place that is literally in my back yard. I know what you mean about the location, it is in a small little industrial/warehouse area. Maybe the rent is a deal there...
  17. jersey, Chelse, Berneses, and Mango You guys are awesome! All of your suggestions were so helpful. After spending some time at QVC looking everything over, I realized the starter kit was probably the way to go to "get started" with it. I didn't see a kit like that at QVC so I went to Sephora and they say the kit is exclusive to them. Anyway...
  18. I hope so too! Keep us posted as to how it goes
  19. Rachelle, That was my experience with psyllium exactly. I had severe constipation for years and it was suggested I take as well. It didn't move a thing for me. I got more constipated, if that was even possible! Turns out I was severely allergic to psyllium, and flax and a lot of the substances recommended for constipation, according to my allergy...
  20. I'm getting ready to order BE Bare Minerals make-up from QVC and I am a little confused. There's so many different things to choose from. What all do I need? Normally I just use foundation, powder, and blush, mascara, and lip liner and gloss. I don't need mascara, I use Eco Bella and it works for me fine. I have lip liner too. So basically I need...
  21. Legumes are all the beans, soy, kidney, black, pinto, etc. and peas, and then green beans (thanks to jersey, I didn't know this either), lentils, peanuts, that's all I can think of. Probably includes wax beans too. Almond butter is great, I am not doing so well with nuts for the time being so I avoid it, but I love it. I've also tried cashew butter...
  22. I haven't used a microwave for 12 years, that was the first thing my naturopath told me to do away with. It was hard to adjust to at first because we have become such a fast lane convenience society, and it's habit. But now, I don't even give it a second thought. Microwave who? Microwave what?
  23. Have fun, hope you find lots of good stuff! My peach apple butter is from a local orchard, you might find some at the farmers market in fact.
  24. I use Ecover cleaning products, as well as Seventh Generation, and some of the other environmentally friendly companies too. I like to keep the chemical load down as much as possible and I am so super sensitive to the harsh smell of the regular stuff. It's good to know most everything is gluten free, I will take note about the dishsoap. Thanks...
  25. That's a switch, your diet expanding rather than cutting something out Have you looked into Fruit Butters? They are ususally in with the jellies and jams in the stores. I have a jar of Peach Apple Butter and the only ingredient is apples and peaches, absolutely nothing else. It's a different texture than jelly/jam and it might give some variety...
