  1. Hi,

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend of mine who has Celiac disease, but doesn't post on any boards. Rather than phrase it myself, I'll just let you read the e-mail:

celiac3270 - I have a favor to ask you.  I've been looking for gluten-free teriyaki sauce in the health food stores but have not been able to find it.  Teriyaki sauce always has soy sauce in it and, as you well know, soy sauce has wheat in it.  While health food stores always carry gluten-free soy sauce, there doesn't seem to be a gluten-free teriyaki.  I am unfamiliar with the chat boards, but I was wondering if you wouldn't mind asking the question on my behalf - is there a gluten-free teriyaki sauce on the market and where can it be found?  I hope you don't mind!  If it's a problem, not to worry, I'm sure I can figure it out.  Thanks so much.

So, gluten-free teriyaki sauce, anyone? B)

  2. As a baby/toddler I was tall...then I fell back to middle of the class. By diagnosis I was shorter than most kids, but not REALLY short...just on the very low end of "average" or one of the less short short people, lol. I'm just saying, though, that I did spurt up and am still growing rapidly...I may not end up as tall as I would have been, but I'll still be at least 5'10", 5'11" (according to the doctor)...

  3. I know...she has a great, relaxed writing style. It's a shame that a lot of the facts are off. If you want to read it, it's fine--I just wanted to warn people before that you must not take the "facts" too seriously. I panicked months into the diet thinking I was consuming gluten only to confirm, once again, that the product was gluten-free--it was just wrong in her book.

  4. He will catch up. That's what I've been doing--my growth on the chart is nearly straight up...jumping many percentiles with ove 40 pounds gained in the last few months. The dr. is just wondering when it'll slow down because at this rate I'll be 6'4" at age 17--lol, I won't be. More like 6'. The interesting thing he told me is to keep eating--a lot. He said that eating a lot drives up your weight, which will drive up your height. In other words, in order for me to get tall, he'd rather that I keep gaining (I'm at the 25th percentile now--even if I eventually get a little overweight cause it will make me taller...

  5. It would probably be from your cache--something that keeps certain aspects of a webpage stored for you so it's quicker to load. But it needs to update occasionally or else you'll see old information...usually it's pre-set to either search for a change whenever you visit the page, every so often, or never...etc. it should change soon enough or I'll tell you how to empty your cache and see all webpages updated again...

I can see her, though. She's wearing pink. Her right eye (left side of picture) is closed a little more than HER left, probably because her right hand is pushing the side of her cheek. Mouth wide open. Sorry for the play-by-play, but I wanted to prove that we can see it and we're not just pretending

  6. And, if you just copy it from the top and paste it, it has the http:// in it already so you can bypass that step and just paste the link in. For example, if I were to put in a link to...google, if I just type the http:// and then www.google.com, it will automatically turn into a link without you having to hit the http button:

I think I just made it more confusing, though.... oops, sorry. Lisa's way works, too.

  8. Ahh...when is the house on? Oh, and I have a question...I checked the site, looking for information on when it might be on (I'm taping this episode tonight just in case) and I found someone had written a 66 chapter story on a Fox message board in which House diagnosed someone as having Celiac. Is that someone from here?

  9. Hey, how old are you? :) My suggestions would vary based on what your resources are. If you have access to a microwave, a whole host of options are available--heating up leftovers, mac and cheese, the Mrs. Leepers meals are awesome and if you make it in the morning or the night before, you just need to bring it in a microwavable container and heat up. They have chicken alfredo, beef lasagna, etc. Also Amy's meals--some are gluten-free, some aren't, though, so be careful. Without access to a microwave your options are pretty limited--sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, etc., but if that's all you have to work with, I'm sure I'll be able to come up with a lot more.

  10. Just got another reply. I think it is very funny, because I never asked them this question! Nonetheless, I'll post it, anyway, in case anyone actually did care about their ginger ale... haha :P

    Dear Mr. King,

Thank you for contacting us about the ginger flavor in our ginger ale.  Consumer comments and inquiries are always appreciated because they give us valuable feedback regarding our brands.

The "natural flavors" listed on the ingredient statement contains flavor from many types of real ginger roots.  The ginger flavor in ginger ale is extracted from the ginger roots and then blended with other citrus flavors to produce the unique flavor in ginger ale.  Since the ginger flavor is combined with natural flavors, we chose to label the combination "natural flavors" on the ingredient statement.

Again, we appreciate your inquiry about the ginger flavor we use.  For more information about our company and our entire line of soft drink products, please visit our corporate web site at www.dpsu.com.

    Sincerely,

    Consumer Relations
