  4. I had never heard before that celiacs are at greater risk for developing pneumonia. im glad my dr was aware of that- it makes me feel confident that hes up to date on celiac knowledge! does anyone know why we are more suspetable?
  5. i can totally relate. this happens literally every day to me as our agency provides free lunch. so everyone is always eatiang pizza, pasta, all good stuff and i have my little lunch so im always eating something different from the 6 people i eat with. i just try to find the positive whihc is the free lunches are very greasy and at least i know im eating healthy...

Hi I always seem to be picking up the lastest cold, virus etc...at work. does anyone have any tips on how to get your immunity up. i wash my hands alot, drink lots of water and take a multi vitamian which are the things my dr suggested. ive been taking extra vit c this week cause i have a soar throat. im getting married in december and want to avoid getting...
  7. Okay i think i know the answer but i just want to make sure. i just had a flu shot and pneumonia shot, do i have to worry about them being gluten-free or no because it is a needle and not eating it??? Thanks Jess
  8. i also used to take ortho cept but when imoved to the us they switched me to apri. i have not had any known probs from it. (knock on wood) Jess

I LOVE these pretzels. thats a pretty good price. i have a hard time finding them so buys tons of bags at once. they are expensive but i buy them anyways cause hey i dont have many options! defintlye buy them. i think they are way better than "normal" pretzels and my fiancee and sister who are non celiac love them too.   12. thanks everyone ! i think it is vertigo but they have to rule scary stuff out, which i think is good caue all the other doctors i saw just said "inner ear infection" and didnt rule anything else out so i think its good hes doing it. i will let ppl know the results. unfortunatley i think it takes a week to get back which sucks! Hi everyone as ive talked about before ive been very dizzy since going gluten free- sort of a vertigo. well i saw a neurologist who wants to do an mri this thursday to rule out teh "bad stuff" i'm really scared. i had an mri for the celiac so at least i know what to expect but im still scared and praying nothing serious is wrong. thanks for your support...
  14. I also often wake up nauseous. i bring my breakfast towork and eat there. when i feel sick, a plain rice cake settles my stomach and ginger tea helps the nausea!
  15. i just made sure i ate it with food and a lot of water. the pharmacist told me it was a pretty good one for sensitive stomach ppl
  16. hi i just fininshed doxycyline for bronchitis. i react easily to antibiotics (nausea etc) but i did well with it. i did continue my probiotic though. are they sure it is PID, because i have been in ER's before for similar symptoms, i have a history of cervical issues. they will often "over treat" and "over diagnose" PID in ER's because it can cause infertility...
  17. i got mine at medicalert.org if g-d forbid you are found hurt, medics are required to read your bracelet and call the number on it which has all your medical info on file, including emergency family phone numbers. Jess
  18. hi i coughed up phleghm the last month but it was more yellowish brownish which means usually its an infection so i took antibiotics whihc didnt clear it up and then advair. maybe its more of a bronchitis thing than a food allergy?? Jess
  19. when i have a bad stomach ache, i have a hot bath, drink chamomile or ginger tea by "traditional medicinals", eat a banana, lots of water, rice cakes and plain rice. i hope you feel better ! Jess

  21. im not sure about the enterolab piece but my dad recently went to gi for celiac who he really liked....maybe you alrady have one but you are specifically looking for one who will validate the enterolab. i believe the dr is in toronto. JEss
  22. hi i have one that says celiac sprue use only gluten free foods and drugs. i got it because when i travel i thought customs would take it more seroiusly at airports if they give me trouble about carrying lots of food in my luggage. also it just makes me feel safer to have it on. Jess
