  1. Yep, good to be back. Hopefully things will go smoothly with this upgrade. Does anyone else have problems viewing new posts. On my computer the header bar splits at "blog" and blocks the view new posts line. I've had to hit reply on a topic just to see view new posts. Anyway, I'm doing good and looking forward to everyone coming back on and Donna...
  2. Wow, going to have to explore some. I had to log in using my email address. Haven't had to log in for about 4 months now since I switched to DSL. I had 3 people contact me to find out if I was having troubles getting on. I must have a reputation for being on here all the time. Seriously though, I have been cutting back my time.
  3. Another site bookmarked. Get some more rest Rhonda. I'm sorry you got minorly glutened.
  4. Hi everyone! Not much going on but I thought I'd update everyone. Dad is the same as far as I know. He's been good aside from back pain. My brother has had D for two weeks. He went to the doctor last weekend and I told him to mention the possibility of celiac. The doctor is ruling out other things but to my brother to go ahead and go off gluten for...
  5. Sounds like you very well could have celiac, or be at the beginning of it. Glad you got a chance to go out with your sweetie. Sorry about the restaurant.
  6. I just mildly intolerant to millet so I can tolerate it as long as it's in small quantities. I don't actually eat it but I do use part millet flour in my bread. I don't have the same reactions as you do though.
  7. That sounds like a really productive visit Rachel. I'm glad you went in. Was it Laura who posted about being stupid (or something like that). Don't be so hard on yourself (speaking of myself and my tendacies as well ). We all make mistakes. Unfortunately, it's part of life and growth. Off to get the youngest to bed......still a little late...
  8. Oh Laura.....I'm so sorry. I hope you feel better by morning. I've been reading everyone....just been busier lately. Love you all.
  9. I've often wondered if my vegan diet (only 3 years), with lots of gluten and soy made things worse with me and my family. Some of us also have problems with beans so we've gone back to the meat based diet. We only by natural meats, the best you can buy. For me, I've found that I don't have to eat as much on a meat based diet as I did before on a vegan...
  10. Enterolab says their tests are good for about 1 year gluten free, so that would do you no good. You may want to try an elimination diet or get IgG intolerance testing done just to give you something to go by. They are always accurate but would give you a starting point.
  11. Have fun Donna. Can't wait until you get back!
  12. Boy, I had to go through all the work of finding a new thread. I found it! Obviously, huh. Love your new little puppy Bev. I like the name Shiloe as well as Orion. That's just me though. You'll have to be sure to post many picture updates, since they grow so fast. I'm so glad you are able to get a puppy, even though you are still...
  13. So much to comment on. In a nutshell, you are a harder case but you have cleared some things. She will get you through the rest, just give it time. The cold and sugar are interesting. You've taken care of the cold haven't you. Sugar, as you said not much you can do about that right now. Have you been reactive all weekend? I'll be curious...
  14. Here is a link to one article I posted.... Open Original Shared Link
  15. Bev, "coming tuesday" How cute!!!
  16. I'll try and remember this date. I hope all goes well and good for you for your plan of having "safe" food. This month will go quickly, especially with preparing for the holidays.
  17. I also had very heavy periods and went on BCP's for about 10 years. I've never had bad PMS or cramping. It takes awhile for your body to readjust after going off of them. I didn't have as heavy of cycles for probably 6-7 years after that (and 2 children). My cycles started getting heavier again 2 years ago. Another pregnancy and going gluten free...
  18. Glad you had such a wonderful end of your work day. You're the greatest!
  19. Alison, I think I must have read that before about the electric blankets. That is why we got rid of ours. Now I just use the heating pad at night for about 20 minutes and it's off for the night. Rachel, Are you going to post about your appointment?
  20. Bev, Love it.
  21. Welcome Jellieh. This is a great place with lots of info, caring and sharing.
  22. Jerri, You don't feel any better? Have you looked into other food intolerances? Would you mind sharing so people can try and help you troubleshoot? Did you have high malabsorption and vitamin deficiencies that have taken time to heal and get levels back up with. I think the poster Nini has stated it took her two years to completely feel better but...
  23. I'm so sorry he was so sick....but glad you were able to help him and that he has started on the road to better health.
  24. Good for you.
  25. Those sound, well, nice and toasty! I had an electric blanket at one point about 7 years ago and I agree, it wasn't warm all over.
